    Episode One - The Evil Overlord Awakens

    We begin! We have an opening song in the works, but for the time being we've decided on a glorious name for this Anime: My Cute Kawaii Overlord Can't Be This Cute! and if you don't like it, then tough shit. Change it with a Fate Point! That being said, let's get the party started! Also remember, alterations can still be done even if they aren't Bolded. Remember yourselves! -Shadenight123

    Episode Start​

    The evil castle of the evil Overlord overlooks a majestic lake filled with toxic miasma from which countless monstrous creatures spawn. The castle itself is filled with towers, crackling thunder and lightning bolts streak the sky as the dark clouds make everything dark and dreadful, if not for the flickering candles that lit the hallways of the castle, it would be impossible to see further than one's nose.

    The klutzy, buxom maid Seraphima is busy dusting off a nearby suit of armor haunted by a ghost. She has long, dark hair and silver eyes. Her skin is dark, the color of milk chocolate, and her pointy ears portray her as a Dark Elf. She also has a heart-shaped tail emerging from her french maid outfit, which twirls lazily in the air. "Love, Love, Love Dessu!" she says with a bright giggle as she finishes dusting off the armor.

    She then looks outside, and blink. "Oh my, the time!" and with that exclamation, she rushes towards a large set of onyx doors guarded by two tall and threatening ogres in full battle-armor. The doors are swung open, but unfortunately Seraphima trips on the luscious carpet within the room and rolls, falling flat on her face against the ground.

    There is a brief moment where she emits a cute "Owiee," and then she stands back up to near the sleeping figure of a washboard flat woman with long, red hair and a pair of thin rimmed golden glasses on her face.

    "My overlord," Seraphima says, shyly fidgeting with her index fingers. "My overlord," she continues, "It's time...you need to wake up," tears dwell in the maid's eyes. "Please...this humble maid needs you to wake up..."

    The overlord doesn't appear to wake up. Seraphima begins to sniffle louder, and that actually gets a reaction from the sleeping Overlord.

    [X] The Overlord turns around, cue sexy shot.
    [X] The Overlord grabs hold of Seraphima and hugs her like a body pillow, cue sexy shot.
    [X] The Overlord groggily wakes up and yawns, gives a nod, and then falls back asleep.

    [X] The Overlord wakes up, energetically jumps out of the bed, and then proceeds to act like a perverted old man, cue sexy shot.

    Next, a small twist on the Overlord punching Seraphima. I propose this:
    [X] The Overlord looks up at Seraphima and smiles. Then she flicks a finger at Seraphima, and the slight touch sends the armored maid flying. Then she goes back to sleep.

    I think we should begin showcasing how powerful our overlord is, while highlighting this is a light show. This all costs maybe 1 or 2 fate points, unless doing a write-in doesn't cost a fate point.

    Sorry, I think we should hold off on picking a name for the anime until we get a better sense of what kind of show this is.

    The idea of an Overlord trying to be aloof, but is secretly super excited to be evil, is just comedy gold. Especially if they're an undead Nerco-chancer. :lol

    So, assuming you've read the quest you're aware of this already, but a vote of NO is a vote to keep the original proposal, and the literal only way to not spend a Fate point on a change is for more people to vote NO. It has nothing to do with proposing a different alteration.

    No, it's just our creative director's AI brain automatically integrates everything unless they are specifically denied or mutually exclusive. Due to inclusion laws, we are legally obligated to have an AI Director.

    (OOC: Nah, the GM is just playing the part of an overly incompetent creative director on purpose mostly to fuck with us.)

    This isn't really related to it being on SV. The Alteration rules are specific to this particular Quest.

    It depends.

    An Alteration to the setting will be accepted if: there are Fate Points available to be spent and it is voted more than the number of 'NOT' votes it accrues.

    A Vote is accepted if it's the majority vote.

    Sometimes, your Alterations to the setting may be more in line with the 'Cliché' harem than the ones I've used, in which case rather than spend a Fate Point, I might either allow it for free or, for really egregious ones, actually *give* you a Fate Point instead.

    So long as little Timmy doesn't come in and make dozens of alteration suggestions at the last moment, it won't be too hard to deal with.

    Or if there's too many writers, that can make things far worse.
     
    I see. Thanks for letting me know Art Director. Should I have put Alteration in my post about Adoraknight to make it clear I'm spending a fate point to change her look/character design?

    Can we please not have another Tsundere? Tsundere's are the worst archetype, I'd rather have the Evil Overlord be a Genki Girl.

    She's female, ergo, a Waifu, ergo, her abusing her minions means she'll develop into a Tsundere. And they're the worst. We can't afford to have that as our introduction to her, because first impressions are important. If the first impression we have her make is gives violence to people that genuinely care about her then she's automatically pigeonholed into the tsundere archetype.

    And Tsundere's are all trash tier.

    I don't see abusing minions as always a form of tsundere. Invader Zim is cruel to his minion GIR but I wouldn't say it was because he had affection for the minion. And just because our minions like us, it doesn't mean we care about them in that way.


    EDIT: Cards on the table here, I actually don't mind Tsunderes. Toradora is one of my favorite anime, and Tiger is great in it. All types of waifu can be trash or great-it depends on the character themselves.

    Yanderes though. I got problems with them. *shiver*
