Am I the only one noting an odd lack of sparks in Skifander?
Just because we can't see them in the very limited expository material we've been given doesn't mean they aren't there. And like, Sparks aren't that common - I'd be surprised if they were even one in a hundred.

Anyway, Queen Zantabraxus is a Spark, so they definitely have them.

Godslave has updated again. With the new release format we're getting a whole bunch of pages at the same time, so make sure to enjoy them because this format does meant that it will be a long(ish) wait for the next batch.

Godslave

Edith has been thrown into the danger of Egyptian mythology in the modern day. Fighting monsters and family drama of godly proportions.

Ava's Demon also updated not long ago with it's own batch of pages/panels.

Ava's Demon

Ava's Demon is a web comic about a girl named Ava and the demon haunting her.

And Aurora is getting quite literally epic with it's confrontation between two Gods. Tynan, Shadow-of-Thunder, the Storm Who Would Be King is living up to the hype. Meanwhile Zuurith continues to fail to live up to his own self-appointed hype.

1.15.36 - Aurora

tynan could have made himself taller than zuurith but I think the real power move is that he didn’t feel the need to

That last panel has some real "Then perish" energy. ⛈️⛈️

Just read Phantomarine. Kid has the right idea. Just sit him down and ask some questions. Even if he lies, you can still learn valuable things from someone when they lie to you. Especially if you can get them to do it in bulk.

Just get married you two, we all know that you guys like each other.
You're talking about Phaedra and Chett right? Not me and the webcomic? 😅

Oh Pavel is by far the smartest and most level headed character here. Being raised by an awesome and emphatic scientist and teacher like Vanna has served him well. She truly is best mom.

Unfortunately for the whole "just talk" thing the combination of Phaedra being so brainwashed by the church of Cheline and Cheth leaving such a bad impression in their first meeting due to his grudge against her family means that an open and frank discussion was likely never on the table.

As we see here the moment Phaedra learns what his actual motives are she immediately shifts focus towards foiling his plans. If he had been open and honest towards her about his real goals then she'd just dismiss his words as lies and do the opposite of what he asks her out of spite.

Cheth basically needs to thread the needle of getting her to believe that she can foil his plans by doing something that he actually wants her to do. And he needs to accomplish this after 5000 years of isolation broken only by encounters with dead souls who all believe he's the devil incarnate. His social skills are likely pretty damn rusty.

Like goodness, imagine if Cheth could just tell Phaedra that he had nothing to do with the Fate Morgana that killed her without her automatically dismissing it as a blatant lie. His job would have been so much easier.

I meant, Phaedra, yeah. Cheth kinda makes sense, 5000 years of isolation would leave most people pretty loopy. But Phaedra was a future Monarch, she should have lots of experience dealing with people who are trying to lie to her. That's like, a core skill for a Monarch. Otherwise you get corrupt and incompetent minions causing all kinds of trouble. 'This guy wants to lie to me? Okay, lets give him lots of rope and see precisely how he wants to hang himself.' should be something she knows how to approach. Though, then again, she was pretty young. Maybe they hadn't given her those lessons yet. And Cheth certainly did make himself unlikable, so it's not like she would have wanted to speak to him when he could just pull out her father and use him against her. :/

Okay, so! How big a deal do you think the latest Sleepless Domain is gonna be? I think it's gonna majorly upset the whole status quo and extend it's effects throughout the rest of the comic. Any takers? :/
