We Are All Volunteers: A Military-Themed Multi-Fandom Crossover RP

Emily entered the barracks, and looked around. The bed almost reminded her of the Dreadful Wale. And the uniforms kind of resembled what the Grand Guards wore on Karnaca. She could get used to sharing the same room with others pretty quickly.

"Technopath. I bet I can figure it out."
Titus debated whether this counted as sacrilege towards a Chapter Relic, but that line had been crossed the moment he'd joined this army. "If you could be careful and apologise to the Machine-Spirit, then i would appreciate it."
Whats with that look in her eye? I hope she didn't notice my slipping of an Aquila medallion under the Daemons bed!

She reached out to touch the...."machine spirit" -|System diagnostic. Armor unlock.|-

Ohhhh boy, I bet he's ripped. Also, does this armor have an AI or something?

{Unauthorised Intrusion detected. Deploy countermeasures? [Y/N]....} The green text ran across his eye lens.
This was new. Having been born and raised in the 41st Millenium, Titus understood that new was bad. Denying the request, he made a mental note of his armours capabilities and allowed it to retreat naturally from his body, his implants releasing the connections as gravity did its work, careful use of his strength doing the rest as he walked out of the now disengaged armour to place his new uniform on.
Now what to do with a priceless Chapter Relic. Thanking his friend for her aid, he asked the supervisor his query.
@Inter-VersaLoli
"Flying Officer Hartmann, Sir, where should i store my armour?"

That is some eyecandy. Though his augmetics could use an upgrade. They don't even look nanitic. Also, a bit whiffy.

Alliera nodded in understanding, she would do her best to learn, and try not to piss off her fellows doing it. That all said, she wordlessly formed up with the unit, and did as Commanded. The Barracks overall was like many Alliera had seen in her lifetime, she even had elements of this kind of construction in the main building of the estate back home. It was the people she saw in there that interested her, with soldiers holding the same kind of things that Alliera had seen a few of her comrades have on them, some kind of weapon she theorized. The Orcs were nice to see though, it's not very often that pure Orcs are given much of a chance, though they had earned a bad reputation from the more feral of them...but Alliera had hope that these Orcs would prove their race proud. Alliera kept looking around at all the interesting people, before her eyes rested on the gang that seemed to be eyeing them up. Alliera wasn't stupid, she knew a play for dominance when she saw one. Alliera stared back, challenging the big person to do something about her, making sure to stand at her full stature as she made her way following the others. Alliera had fought and killed things many times bigger and tougher looking than the person who stared at her group, so she wasn't worried. Alliera saw the insides of the barracks, and was again not to surprised, excepting the new technology she saw. "I think she fancies you Titus." Alliera said, teasingly as she pulled her armor off carefully "You are a rather well-endowed specimen ...if I was 40 years younger..." Alliera pulled on her Uniform without issue. "I'm just thankfull that these Uniforms are modest." Alliera said idly, straightening out everything with her hands as she finished changing "Our leaders had me worried for a moment."

Side Note on the Uniforms
Added this insted of editing since people have already replied

Just as a side note, if any of the PCs were curious enough to look inside their lockers, they would find a helmet (mounted with a camera); combat vest with many pockets; and a different, longer and more subdued uniform inside than what was laid out on their beds.

These uniforms had their names on them, so they were clearly intended for the PCs to use. Just not yet. A portion of the soldiers hanging out outside were also wearing this (just the uniform, I mean. Nobody wears helmets or a vest in friendly zones).

"No fair, giving him hints!" She snarked. "It's no fun if you tell him."

"Awwww.... do I remind you of your kids? I'm 53 you know."
Trust the Xenos to stir thing up. Hardly the first time this has occurred, but if i ignore such pursuits, they tend to lose interest. That or die of old age.
"And i'm biologically 150. Besides, Astartes do not...romance. We have other things to focus on."

@Dovahsith

"Hmm, that's pretty big. Normally, we's tell tell you to just stuff it in the locker, but for this I'd say you can put it at the foot of your bed."

Kazuma decided if Gertrude returns he'll ask her about the fraternization rules. Most military organizations strictly limited it for obvious reasons but this place was unlike any other military. It wouldn't surprise Kazuma if the rules were lax... just like everything else about this so-called Foreign Legion.

"An honour, then? Understand I'm not used to seeing human troops under 200, though you look pretty post human to me..... not that I couldn't improve those implants."
"As i've mentioned, i am Astartes, a Space Marine. Human warriors fight in the Imperial Guard whilst we are deployed where needed most. As for the Implants..I would rather you didn't. They are my genetic legacy to my Primarch. Wars have been started for far less."

"150 and over 200 years old, you guys must have some powerful Magic or Technology I can't even comprehend." Alliera said, looking at Titus and Patricia "I havn't even seen a Non-Dragon creature that lived beyond 200 and could still fight well, other than elves...but they're elves..."

"Oh. I mean, your body I guess. Wait, genetic? I meant the mechanical bits here. I don't do anything with geneomes beyond checking for nanite compatibility."

She turned to all of the PCs. "You all are soldiers now, and as soldiers, you are not allowed to die without permission! Not from the enemy, and especially not from yourselves."
Ralph grins mischeviously. "Is that an order, sir?"

In the barracks, Ralph finds his uniform and opens the closet, stowing his bag at the bottom. Before donning his uniform, he rests his hand against the window. "This is, agreeable, yes. Perhaps this was deliberate. It would not surprise me."

Ralph changes mechanically, keeping his eyes focused on the inside of his closet while he does so.

"Governance provides free and universal biological immortality to all citizens. I get it as a side-effect of my contract. I'll live forever, barring accidents."

"Oh....forget i mentioned anything then..." Though if she goes poking in the geneseed, there will be words.

"It is entirely reasonable i can live longer so long as nothing manages to slay me in battle. There are elders dwelling within certain chapters who can remember the previous millennium and some rumoured even further back into our history. Of course there are certain creatures with far longer lifespans, but they are not the sort to converse with."
