I'm fine with it. Though you might want to either continue and allow people to resist later if they want. Otherwise there doesn't really seem to be an appropriate time for us to interject or act.

Does Hope know about the origin of the Great Contagion? It seems like he kind of thing the Dowager would brag about to her "wards" but it's important enough to the setting that the GM should have final say on that bit of knowledge.

I spend Willpower, justified through my Defining Intimacy of "Lookshy (Faint Patriotism)", since Calamitous Tempest doesn't quite trust him yet and won't let himself be snared in just yet. Calamitous Tempest works in the interests of Lookshy, first and foremost.
 
Alright, if you didn't accept an Intimacy towards the Cult, he's trying again, but now with your defining principle. If you did, he's trying to influence you to join.
 
Does he have a dice pool to go along with that? Because reuniting with Gebodo would appear to be going against my character's defining principle, so he's probably not going to be receptive to this line of reasoning.

But it's also going for your character's defining Tie, so... I'll roll the dice in a bit.

Okay, rolls are in the post a bit above. It's based on Caste, from Dawn to Eclipse, with the last roll being an extra one for Cosar. So Cosar has five sux, and everyone else can look at theirs.
 
In that case, I'll spend two motes to bolster my Resolve by 1.

EDIT: I'm still joining the Cult though, I just don't want an Intimacy. :V
