1 He grew up in Brooklyn during the Great depression

2 Brooklyn was a hotbed for socialist thought (and because it was a lot of mixed communities, that allows for a lot more diversity and thought

He was also a artist in the WPA in the comics


3 I always heard that he was the mixed child of a (German-Irish couple)
And his mom was a suffragette

Then again that just could be fanon


I think it would be rather interesting tale
