    For those of you who are looking for more information about User Choice Awards generally, you can find it in this thread!

    In short, the Users' Choice Awards are where we come together as a community to chose our favourite creative works on SV. It is a time for our most popular and beloved quests and stories to come up and take a bow.

    The Awards take place in two phases. The Nomination Phase allows any user to nominate up to five quests or stories hosted on SV, across eight categories including this one.

    The five most-nominated threads in each category will then go forward to the Voting Phase, where one will be selected as the winner!


    Eligibility for Nomination to [INSERT CATEGORY NAME]
    In order to be eligible for nomination, a thread must:
    • Be hosted on Sufficient Velocity.
    • Have begun on or after January 1st, 2023.
    • Be a quest, user fic, or other work of fiction.
    • Not have declined nomination by the author or QM.
    • Not have won the Award in a previous year.
    If you are still unsure about whether something meets the eligibility criteria, refer to the main announcement thread FAQ for clarification.

    How to Nominate

    You make your nominations by making a post in this thread. The rules are as follows:
    • You may only make one post in this thread.
    • You may nominate up to five threads.
    • You may edit your post up to the closing date, when the nominations will be counted. This is .
    • Each nomination for a thread must consist of only the copy-pasted titles of the thread you wish to nominate and nothing else, for example:

    Where to Discuss the Nominations

    Going to heavily second Little Vice. Full disclosure that Shadell is a good friend of mine and I've been recruited to do beta work for the fic, but it is an amazing spin on a magical girl story while still remaining faithful to its roots thematically and character-wise, with incredibly endearing characters with complex motivations and characterizations that contain a good deal of nuance. I'll wait until the voting perioid to provide a like, full case for it, but I strongly recommend that people check it out- it was a Pick of the Month a bit back and that was entirely deserved; you can read it here, and if you haven't I strongly recommend giving it a shot before the voting period, whether you end up liking it or not.
