Unwraveling the Web(Spider-Man Peggy-Sue)

Your name is Peter Parker. And you were dreaming of events gone by. This is nothing new. You often had dreams of particular past events. Some nightmares, some pleasant remembrances. But usually they stuck to one event. This time it was like you were dreaming your entire life, in reverse.

The Superhuman Registration Act, and all that came with it; Kingpin in the jail, Aunt May, your unmasking, and so on. The Other. The Avengers. The Spider. The Sinister Six. Your marriage to Mary Jane. Venom and Carnage. The Black Cat. So much more, until finally... The Green Goblin. Gwen. Uncle Ben. And the thing that started it all. That spider bite.

The dreams shatter as a voice rouses you.

"-er! Get up! You're going to be late!"

Your eyes blink open, and the world around you is a blur. You rub your eyes to clear the sleep from them, but it has little effect on what you can see. And so, born from the habit of the previous fifteen years of your life, your hand reaches over to your nighttable, picking up glasses and slipping them on.

You... Are in your room, at Aunt May's house. You haven't lived there in... Years. Thinking dire thoughts toward Mysterio for somehow making you see this, and yourself for getting caught by him, your eyes cast around the room, trying to figure out the trick. Until you see a mirror.

The sight that greets you is not one you are used to, not anymore. Not after that spider bite. Skinny, sure. But at least you had muscles. But now... Now you're back to just skinny. And young! This is the fifteen year old you. Not the you that you saw last time you looked in a mirror.

You whip your head around, eyes falling on your calendar. The date... It's... Oh, holy-

"Peter! Get down here and get some breakfast or you're going to be late for that science exhibit you were so excited about!"

In a daze you get cleaned up(no broken doorknob, even when you were trying), dressed(and no sign of your costume, either), and make your way downstairs. There's Aunt May, setting out a plate on the table for you. And sitting at the table is...

Your legs go weak, though you manage to hide the trembling that signifies you were about to fall with a yawn.

Sitting right there is Uncle Ben. Alive and breathing.

You...

I've lurked, without even registering long enough. I figure it is time for me to contribute something here. So here we go. My first real quest. I'd started one on /tg/ on 4chan years ago, but never got far into it. Just one of the thousands abandoned there.

In this quest you will be playing as Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man. But from the future and with all the knowledge there-in. After the events of the Civil War storyline. But before One More Day/A Brand New Day. Because no. The continuity is going to be an odd sort of mash-up between comics(Which I have read a great many, but not all, of), and the MCU, as the mood takes me and as my memory serves me. And it can include elements from the broader Marvel universe. That will largely depend on where you all take this. As you might guess from the fact you have the chance to miss being bitten entirely, this can end up going anywhere, even far from the Spider-Man storyline. In fact, I don't even have the vague outlines of a plan, which I am sure is so reassuring. But that's because I want to let you all have as much choice as possible as to where this quest goes.

Now for the mechanics! There will be a more in-depth post about them later, but it's going to be a watered down mash-up between D&D 3.5e and 5e. Just something with basic stats, some skills, feats/perks/achievements or whatever. All of that will be put in it's own post at a later date(maybe when I get home from work this morning), but it is not going to be too terribly important for the first few posts, I don't think. More details as to the mechanics will be put in another post as well. Write-ins(or stunts if you prefer) will usually work better than just picking one of my options. Though I will not punish you for not doing a write-in.

Finally, update schedule. I would love to be able to update every day. But I can't guarantee that. So let's plan on once a week, with anything more than that as a bonus. Further, there will normally be an hour or so delay before votes will be accepted, to allow discussion. Though for this first one, feel free to go for it right away. Though, not until I've reserved the three posts after this one.

For anything stat related needed in this thread I will be using the bastard love-child of D&D 3.5e and D&D 5e. Rolling rules will operate using 3.5e rules, rather than 5e rules(No advantage, instead things like flanking will provide a numerical bonus). But skills and such operate off of 5e rules. So proficiency adds a flat amount to skills you are proficient in. There will be no XP. Instead you will gain a 'level' based on milestones reached. An example: Uncle Ben's death would be a milestone. You would gain the level either way, but milestones will also come with a perk/feat, and what that is depends on the outcome of the milestone. Every other level your bonus due to proficiency will increase one, and every four you can either bump an attribute up 2 points, two attributes up 1 point, or it can be used to gain a feat/perk. These feats will be subject to veto if they are not balanced, but otherwise it would be a write-in.

Rolls:
They will be performed on a d20. A natural 20 is a critical success, which simply means that it automatically succeeds, and adds a point to the Great Responsibility pool. If the roll exceeds the required threshold by 5-10(Depending on what the roll is for), it is an exceptional success, critical or not, and will affect the outcome of the roll in, what I hope will be, an awesome way.

A natural 1 is a critical failure, an automatic failure, and also adds a point to the Great Responsibility pool. Any roll that fails by 5-10(Again, depending on the roll), is an exceptional failure and will affect the outcome of the roll. For reference here, think Gwen Stacy's death.

Great Responsibility Pool:

This is a pool of points that YOU can spend by majority vote in any situation where you are rolling. Spending a point will increase the DC by 2-4 points, making the roll harder, but will also grant a benefit beyond mere success.

I was going to vote but I'd just be adding to the bandwagon - that seems to be the smartest option. I hope Uncle Ben stays alive until we get back. That would be depressing / hilarious if he died because we chose our powers over seeing him again.
