WELCOME, DEAR VISITOR, TO THE HALL OF JUSTICE, HOME TO EVERY EXAMPLE OF SUPER-HEROES AND MORE THROUGHOUT THIS WORLD'S GREAT HISTORY!

AS WE MAKE OUR WAY THROUGH THE VARIOUS NEW EXPANSIONS ADDED TO OUR MUSEUM, PLEASE NOTE THAT SEVERAL NEW ADDITIONS HAVE BEEN MADE TO ACCOMMODATE EVERY SINGLE SUPER-HERO OR VILLAIN, HOWEVER MAJOR OR MINOR, THROUGHOUT THE COURSE OF THEIR CAREER!

Of course, you already know who you're going to see - your many times great ancestor, who was a really prominent costumes figure back in their times, and who came into contact with several of the key figures of this museum - BACK WHEN THEY ACTUALLY USED IT! HOW CRAZY IS THAT!?

Your interest in your ancestor is picked up on by the Virtual Tour Guide, who is only too happy to dispatch a clone of herself to guide you there. The clone, on hearing your words, goes, "Ah! A great-"

[ ] Man?
[ ] Woman?

You nod at her statement, excitedly following her through the various twists and turns of the greatly expanded museum, walking past great figures such as Superman, his greatest enemy, Lex Luthor, the mysterious and legendary Batman, standing opposite a statue of his greatest enemy, the Joker, and the Wonder Woman, a symbol of warriors throughout history, facing her greatest nemesis, Circe.

Each are considered the broad leaders for the power types of Superheroes and Villains, which reminds you - your ancestor was famous as a:

[ ] Metahuman
[ ] Tech User
[ ] Magic User

(QM Note: Choosing one now does not mean they cannot use the powers of others, for example a metahuman can use tech and vice versa, depending on circumstances, but what you pick now gets a permanent +10 boost with any roles related to the type of attack)

Of course, yes. If you might be so bold, your ancestor may have been one of the greatest users of their particular style of attacks in history. What were their powers centred around again?

[ ] Fire.
[ ] Speed
[ ] Write in. (The above two are examples of themes relating to powers, and if it's not obvious already, it is not the only powers you can use. However, as before, you receive a +5 to rolls using powers along your theme.)

The Virtual Tour Guide finally drops you off at your ancestor's statue, and waits on the side patiently for you to ask any question. For your part, you are content to gawp at their grandiose statue in awe of the person you are descended from.

Seeing your pleasure at the sight of the statue, the little robotic intelligence asks, "I notice you are quite interested in the life of-

-and rightfully so. We are developing an experimental feature where you may step into the lives of them and experience their memories in their shoes - it isn't quite official, but seeing your great interest, I could get you on the beta testing program?"

This is the opportunity of a life time! You nod dumbly as the virtual assistant looks more and more pleased at your enthusiasm.

"Wonderful! If you would follow me, I would be happy to take you on a journey through the life of-"

What is the name of your character?

[ ] Write in.

"-come now, let us begin."

Greetinge, dear Reader and future Quester to my first ever quest! I shall be your host, Deimos, and hope that you have a wonderful time for the duration of this quest.

Active participation and discussion will always be greatly appreciated, as will omakes and fan art, which will earn you either bonuses to rolls or specific items in game.

Note that anything is possible. And I quite literally mean anything - Swamp Thing could become a Green Lantern, and Jason Blood could roam around naked in the interests of the KKK. It's all a matter of circumstances and rolls, however.

With all that settled, then, I welcome you to TO MAKE YOUR MARK, and sincerely hope you make your mark on the DC Universe.

Setting Set-up, In-Depth character decisions.
Payne Powell, known as 'Metamaster' was one of the greatest super-people of the twenty first century, and became one of the most powerful, if not the most powerful of them during their career. Payne was unique in their abilities, in that instead of specializing in one particular ability, they specialized in all of them, becoming an equivalent to A.M.A.Z.O (see tech villains of the twenty first century) or Parasite (see minor villains of the twentieth century.)

But that was during their career, and right now, you're experiencing the beginning of it. (for convenience, age has been set as eighteen (18) years old.)

Metamaster was one of the greatest super-people in American history, though their name first came to be spread in their home city, where they operated for the majority of their career. They operated in:

[ ] Gotham City - Home of the Bat-family, this city had one of the highest crime-rates in America, and had perhaps the most inefficient government in history. The efforts of the Wayne Family, an ancient American family, centered in Gotham were the only things stopping it. (Crime is found much more easily, +10 EXP to defeating minor villains/heroes, +150 EXP to defeating major villains/heroes, -5 to any interactions with police or government, reduced costs for setting up laboratories or buying apartments, chance of any owned properties being destroyed due to gang activity, may come into contact with Batman, Nightwing or Robin if performing villainous actions)

[ ] Metropolis - Home of Superman and associates, this had the regular crime rate of a bustling (no pun intended) metropolis. That is, until, Superman started moving around. With someone that can be classified as a god roaming around, it really isn't the best place for petty criminals to be making their fortunes. Unfortunately, higher-tier supervillains threaten the populace every few months or so. (Reduced crime rates, all supervillains are B-tier or higher, +500 EXP on defeating major villains/heroes, increased costs for buying property and setting up laboratories, may come into contact with Superman if performing villainous actions.)

[ ] Star City - Home to Green Arrow and the rest of the Arrow family, comparable to Gotham with reduced crime rates and generally not as much of a shithole. The government of this city actually started caring after Green Arrow started his career going after them. (Not as much minor crime, but basic thugs are of a higher quality, +50 EXP to defeating minor villains/heroes, may come into contact with Green Arrow if performing villainous actions.)

[ ] Central City - Home to the Flash and Kid Flash, one of the few good cities in America that hosts a Superhero. Even the rogues gallery has a code of conduct! Though it helps that most crime can be stopped by the Flash before you can even blink. (Basically zero minor crime, and major criminals have a moral code, +5 to all supervillain interactions, increased cost of buying properties but laboratories are easily available, non-corrupt police force makes cooperating with the police easier, +5 to all rolls police interactions, extremely high chance of being defeated in less than a second if performing villainous actions - speedsters are around.)

It's said that a superpowered individual's upbringing has a large impact on their morals, mission and how they go about doing whatever they do. Superman's parents instilled American morals, leading him to become the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way. Batman's lack of parental figures, growing up consumed by vengeance and purpose has led him to become a paragon of rage and fear for crime. How did Metamaster grow up?

[ ] Surrounded by a large family, you had a desire to step out of the shadow of your multiple siblings and family members, leading you to be extremely ambitious. Whatever you do, you do well, and you pursue your goals in pursuit of being the best there is! Unfortunately, your self-centered desires and distaste for your family has led to your social skills becoming lacking (+5 to all non-social rolls, -5 to all social rolls, get a +2 to INT.)

[ ] You grew up on a farm. Not the sort that Superman grew up on, filled with morals and happiness and family closeness. No, you grew up the child of farmers, living on a landowner's property. Whatever you had you worked for, and everything you do, you do with purpose, your entire body filled with a strength of character. (+2 to WILP, +1 to STR, higher chance to get critical hits.)

[ ] You were an inner city child. Surrounded by dozens of people growing up, you were a social butterfly, making friends with anyone and anything. You got to where you were by sweet talking people into helping you out, though this means your own strengths are slightly lacking. (+15 to social rolls, +4 to CHA, -1 to STR, -1 to INT)

[ ] A rich kid, second child of the rich and powerful Powell family, you were surrounded by only the best growing up, and are used to having the best items. You graduated from a well-funded institution, and all your life you have been handed everything on a platter. Your intelligence has benefited for it, but you may find that you lack resolve and initiative. (-2 to WILP, +1 to INT, start out with 5000$, as opposed to the 1000$ every other upbringing starts with, have connections in business.)

Indeed, your life has been shaped by your growth. Even with any friends you may or may not have, you have one friend whom you trust and treasure above all, and who knows your every secret. Just as how Superman has Jimmy Olsen, you have:

[ ] Janet Klyburn - Niece of the famous Dr. Jenet Klyburn, she possesses a love biology and anything to do with the human body. This also means she knows how to treats scrapes, burns and all manner of minor injuries, as well as how any and all tech interacts with the human body. Not to mention, her aunt runs a branch of STAR Labs - a connection which should help a lot.

[ ] Julia Pennyworth - Daughter of Alfred Pennyworth, butler to the Wayne Family, Julia is a bit of a wild card. You're not quite sure what she does, but she travels all around the world and gets injured randomly - you think she might be a member of the CIA. She also knows the most random people for every possible need - mostly weapon dealers, but others too. Still, there's a very small list of people she trusts and you're on top of that list, and the same goes backwards.

[ ] Lucas Carr - The two of you have been friends since you were kids, and despite your wildly different interests, that friendship has remained. Lucas may be an elementary school teacher, but sometimes you swear he's the scientist between the two of you. He's never been the most physically fit person, but he knows more about computers than anyone you know.
