Also, why the hell are we a biotinker in BB? Pigot is going to murder us, straight up get healing and step out of retirement as Lady :V
She's not got much she can do against us if we don't make ourselves a huge threat and make sure we're a moderately tough nut to crack, Nazis and a Rage Dragon remember?

Side note, where are we on the timeline?

You see my friend that's the beauty of it if we immediately go to the PRT and we tell them that we want to be an independent hero they're not going to have a choice, they might not trust us at first but they're not going to be able to legally do anything besides keep an eye on us because we haven't done anything wrong therefore the best thing we can do for ourselves right now is help others in order to prevent piggy from having a reason to immediately come after us
The law is a pretty shaky concept when it comes to capes.
For example, Blasto had a pre-signed kill order and it was published as soon as the authorities realized that he was creating self-reproducing creatures.
I'm saying this mainly so that there are no illusions that Piggot can get us into trouble if he thinks we're really dangerous.

If Person or Ape ends up the winning focus, what do you guys think of actually going with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde for our Cape identity? I'm personally partial to going Villain to fund our Tinkering (and also to rob a bank with our Minion) but it can be argued that it works as a Hero name too, given we're a physically normal human and a Tinker engineered Brute duo.

[X] What is your Focus? (This is your main creature; you can create other minor ones, but this is what the vast majority of your efforts will revolve around.)
-[X] A lizard:
Can crawl up a wall, has thick scales, and could possibly be made into a dragon one day. There is something to be said about the ability to have your own dragon or just a creature that can ignore small-arms fire.

@Witherbrine26 sorry if this has been asked earlier but are we allowed to make multiple dragons or are we only allowed to make one uber dragon.

Well if we go full dragon-tinker we'll be diametrically opposed to everything people imagine when they think of "biotinker", dragons are excellent press. Make it regal, elegant, a sense of controlled power like a big cat, heck in the long run bootstrap the dragon to sapience so they can really express that dragonlike charisma.

And if anyone asks we should launch into an hour-long prepared rant about "the reasons why Nilbog sucks".

From what's been said we can make smaller secondary minions to do more minor stuff but we get one 'main' minion. Someone mentioned a dragon and then some kobold minions, and I think that's the right way to think about things for the lizard option (and equivalents for other options).

You can only make one, so it'll be a singular dragon that you can augment massively. You can make much weaker secondary minions though, it's just that your main focus will be on that one dragon.

That's right, that's why I might recommend a queen ant or queen bee. She can then become stronger and perhaps pass on the improvements to her offspring

I doubt that the dragon shape will help PR that much, it's too easy to find a lot of bad associations in mythology.
As for intelligence, I sincerely doubt that anyone will be happy that we are creating intelligent beings.

Probably no one cares about our opinion about Nilbog, and even more so it is not in our power to correct public opinion about biotinkers.
The best thing we can do for PR is to separate ourselves from other similar tinker by stating that we can only contain one strong minion. In this way, our henchman will become a projection of our power rather than a living being in the eyes of the public.

-[X] A person:
It resembles a person, and that has all the upsides and downsides you think it would. It can handle tools, is somewhat smart, and could even fake being a cape, but a handful of people will be really scared of what it represents.

We can make the lesser minions ourself, the queen insect thing just lets our Minion produce them for us, which I honestly don't think is worth the opportunity cost of researching and implementing. Like, the lesser minions aren't supposed to be very good, don't try and make them our main thing.

I do really want either Human or Ape, though, I really like the idea of a lumbering Biotinkered Brute who just shadows us and glares menacingly at people, who everyone thinks is a guy we work with but is actually just our own creation dressed in a suit, fedora and domino mask. Also the Human base, along with its higher intelligence and hands, is probably also the one that starts out able to communicate with us to at least some degree, on account of the vocal chords, even if we need to teach it English.

If we have human minions, then we can make a Joker gambit.
That is, to create our perfect copy that will have all our memories and access to the shard. In the event of our death, this clone will come to life and we will continue to play for it.

-[X] An octopus:
smart, sneaky and versatile, you could even use the bay to transport itself and hide it.

That's definitely not a certainty, Bonesaw was the… not mother of all exceptions, she's a kid, but she was very much not the rule.

I don't think that works. We have a main minion, and all our others are secondary...we could maybe do this with out main minion, I guess, but then we just don't have a main minion for most purposes, and I very much doubt we could pull this off with secondary ones. This basically doesn't seem viable given the choices made.

[X] Who are you?
-[X] Ajax Washington
-[X] Male
-[X] young, dark-skinned and with a military buzz cut that's starting to grow out a bit, Ajax has a large, solid build that probably could've made him a linebacker if he'd trained for it. As it stands, he looks like the kind of guy who could put a man on his ass in a fight.
-[X] A scar above his right eye, from an accident when he was a kid.

I'm not saying it's going to be easy. It will most likely be a mega project, but given our focus, it is most likely possible.

It makes sense, although I need to clarify something.

@Witherbrine26 Our powers only allow us to have one strong minion. But does this apply to those who are dormant and inactive?
For example, can we create a blank from which we can quickly create a new minion if the first one is killed?

Our Tinker specialty alongside biotinker is making stuff that can also make stuff, so I would hopefully expect a discount to research and implementing stuff like swarm production.
