The people of the Shadow are emboldened by Consensus and the rule of a strict Interpreter,
Their doctrine Farukian, their rule far from the Harmony of the Hours,
Yet I am sent still to Consult and learn of their ways,
To better the Consensus of the Council.
What does their Interpreter say?
"The Precursors scribe the Prologue of the Universe, in the time before the Harmony of the Hours. Our Interpreters have long said that we once ruled the stars: therefore the Precursors were Hondori, and they called themselves by other names, and knew things we did not know, and mingled with dead peoples. Therefore we must Consult and seek Consensus with their ways and their teachings, and bring our legacy into the Harmony of the Hours."
"If the Precursors were Hondori, they doomed themselves in a great Folly, and through our Consensus and Consultation we changed ourselves in the Stivan Creed. Therefore their idols are blasphemous and bear the Seeds of Destruction, and must be Discarded and Amended where they cannot be turned to the means of the Order. By indulging Consultation or Consensus with them, we risk Contamination and Folly."
"The Precursors were not Hondori, but a Great Enemy who struck down those who did not dwell in the Stivan Creed before us. In their victory they forgot Consensus, and splintered, and conquered across the stars. Now we are stronger with the Creed, we must see the Harmony of the Hours, and through sound Interpretation prepare ourselves to confront them once again with our paladins and our renewed convictions."
