Can I write in an outfit? I don't really care about the powers, but all the colours offered are pretty meh. Can we have something sexy like red? [I figure if the parasol can do something as rare as blue moons, then it can absolutely make one based on blood moon]

We should not have been able to boop her nose because of Pariya's defenses. We literally should not have, but we did.

Also this:

Or another way, literal cosmic power says hi.

Wait, what defences? Did she have defences? I thought she was just doing her ultimate attack.

You should ask Cetash more about this, but she's a master magician sent to go look at a disturbance. You don't get to be a Master as a magician who is sent to look at weird powerful disturbances by having no defenses.

We walked through her ultimate attack, through her passive defenses, to boop her nose because we had enough ultimate cosmic power to ignore all that if we wanted.
Or in this case, if we didn't even realize we should be affected. Reality bent to accomodate.

It is not unlike a spider weaving its strongest, toughest web, and then the web being shredded by a bored human child.

Yeah pretty much.

Did we walk through her ultimate attack? She didn't even seem to hit us given the power still in her hand. Did her hand ever make contact with us?

If you think you can offer an outfit write-in that fits the thematics.

No, it didn't. That being said you shouldn't have been able to move, let alone move faster than her ultimate attack.

edit: That being said, I have made some edits to make clear that you broke through her defense as well, and that her hand never reached you.

[X] [Outfit] The White Thread. You will appear as the manifestation of sprinkled moondust, sweetening and luxuriant. With the white thread, the Parasol will grant you a Dream of Sugar-Dusted Dunes, which will stop even the most acrimonious arguments with the memory of delight and joy and bring a smile to even the most wizened face
[X] [Mission] An irate building spirit. The spirit of one of the working-class tenements in the eastern end of the city has gone out of control, prompting an emergency quarantine of the neighborhood, but because the local commune does not have enough money to pay the Magicians' Lodge, the problem has not been dealt with. Although no residents have been harmed as of yet, that may not last as the building encroaches on a factory shantytown. Your task is to figure out what has enraged the building spirit, and if necessary, prevent it from expanding further.

To clarify, I've made some basic edits. To be clear: The creation of a tornado is meant to erode the defenses and will of a spirit to fight, Pariya had a strong curtain of air pressure protecting her immediate body, and her ultimate attack is very difficult for spirits to actually react to because she can simply blow them away if they try to reach for it and once her hand moves it's moving at a speed that even spirits would consider impressive.

Hopefully that makes things a little clearer without giving too much of the game away.

[X] [Outfit] The Black Thread. You will appear as the impossible reflection of the moon's dark side, wondrous and breathtaking. With the black thread, the Parasol will grant you a Dream of The Silent Face, which encourages both man and spirit to reveal the secrets they have held from each other and themselves, revealing all that was hidden.
[X] [Mission] A depressed river barge. One of the massive barges that brings grain and barley to Tishrei's poorest from the interior has anchored itself in the riverbed and is refusing to move. The captain has not been able to sway it, despite the fact that the barge is now blocking other shipments of grain and potentially endangering the food supply for the poorest denizens of Tishrei. Most of the magicians normally tasked with solving such a problem have been dispatched upriver, where the daughter of the river has gone missing. Your task is to try and cheer up or otherwise convince the river barge to move.

Unfortunately for Paraiya objects in space tend to be traveling in miles/second, rather than miles/hour. Fast magic punching just doesn't really compare.

Let's go cheer up a barge!

While this is true rereading the update, and previous ones I suspect the boop itself was the actually traumatic part. Because even other spirits were terrified of being touched by Starfall except Grandpa Frost, Starfall's mother noted that the Sun/Moon run interference on the stars doing whatever the feel like, and Starfall instinctively understood that physical contact with Death would produce weird side effects. This actually has me wondering if Death physically touching the painting to work on it, and the Moon using the parasol of midnight to blow up the tower means all high end spirits place such restrictions on themselves to avoid accidentally killing those weaker than them.

Although a sweeter alternative is that Pariya was able to see the light born from a star for the first time in her life, and it brought her to tears.

[X] [Outfit] The Blue Thread. You will appear as a materialized figment of the elusive blue moon, mysterious and wistful. With the blue thread, the Parasol of the Midnight Waltz will grant you a Dream of Half-Forgotten Nights, which will bring tears to the darkest eyes and open the hearts of even the cruelest and most wicked spirits with its power.

Why are people voting for cry dream and depressed barge...?

While there's certainly the apathy sort of depression that might get something from getting to feel sad feelings, I don't believe it's likely to help with a lot of other modes of depression...

Because Starfall is already a cinnamon roll, and this would allow her to imitate Grandpa Frost by spreading the joy.

Oh hey a shipment of essential food to bring joy to the poor! All Starfall needs is a Horse of the Apocalypse to pull her sleigh barge through the sky, but Danger Bird will have to suffice as a substitute to them all for the sake of making up for his treachery!

I bet the Parasol can lift a barge. Is that a good idea? No, but Starfall would do it anyways.

I wonder if Starfall will like the tastes of grain and barley. She might cheer the barge up by emptying it.
