@Yurihime Himeyuri @Kyldin @DerPoltergeist

Okay, just to clarify... we need to stop doing this "review things that happened before" style of posting, because I just made a post where an NPC has approached (literally dragged) your characters, and then you posted entering the market... after the fact? It creates a lot of unnecessary confusion and messes up the flow of posting doing that, on top of ignoring a post from the GM. >_<

EDIT: Apparently SV's tagging system is fucked.

You've now gotten a "Job," which will be posted in a relevant threadmark at the beginning of the thread along with the "Stashes." What you want to do from here is up to you. If people post fast enough we can montage getting paperwork for gun.

@Wizard_Marshall
You'll start with less wealth stress when we enter the zone, but on the flip side you earn the aspects:
  • "Zone Explorer"
  • "Papers, Please"
  • "Zone Newsletter"

Still waiting on @AKuz for a decision on what to do (rolling to try to ask for more help, going elsewhere) and I think @DB_Explorer was going to post soon.

Rolling Will to Overcome...

Rolling will, aye.

Skill is +2 Will.

(+1-1+1+0)+2 = +3

@PanzerWaffles
Maybe it's something Talon's seen before or expected in some place at the back of her mind, but the macabre sights at the infirmary are giving her second thoughts about the job more than mental trauma.

@DB_Explorer
The sight is sudden, mortifying. It rattles Dexter enough to check his 1-Shift Morale Stress Box.

@Zeitgeist Blue
Nick can taste the chicken Kiev at the back of his throat. He makes it to the wastebin before puking noisily into it.

Check off your 3-Shift Morale Stress Box.

OK need to find a good quote for this....

I know I owe a bunch of people replies. We're almost to the zone! Super exciting. :3

@AKuz did the evidence/lead for L'Esprite work for you?

@Sushi

soo for the old wine lady, can i roll for either Keiko or Teijo to discern motive or detect ill intent? i think it seems rather appropriate here!

Hey all. I'm getting to responding to everyone. The alert system is really on the fritz, so I'd suggest that you check the thread on a daily basis just so you don't miss replies from me in the future. I also posted a bit of IC fluff on the thread since Rachel signed up for the club, it's a neat little sample of what the zone has in store:

God that took way too long to put together.

At a glance, Keiko can see the merchandise is a mix of home-made distillations and some fairy high-dollar merchandise, even a few brands she recognizes abroad. There's not much dust at all and the shelves are partially empty. From the pile of receipts and the teenagers moving locked boxes of change, the woman has to be moving a fair bit of her goods. As she pours Keiko a sample, she can tell just by the aromas it's been crafted with care, at the very least and doesn't taste half bad.

Cherries, currants? It's very strong for wine, bordering on a particularly fruity kind of moonshine, but the flavors separate into a half-dozen distinct fruits on the palate, raspberries and a hint of grapefruit balancing out the sweet, tart bite. It's absent of cloying aftertaste.

To be clear, he's indicating that Nimble is sitting at that table? not that he's hard to get ahold of and whoever is at that table is one way of doing so?

Sorry, he's pointing at that table like 'I remember they sat there a few months ago.' Nimble is in the Exclusion Zone proper by this point.

The Green Cross bequeaths the trio with a large Soviet-era dosimeter kit, with enough spare pens for everyone to read radiation doses. After seeing Nick's police ID, they also give him a sort of Green Cross rescue kit loaded with specialist tools and basic supplies for survival and medical treatment. It's fairly bulky and weighs quite a bit.

@PanzerWaffles

@DB_Explorer

@Zeitgeist Blue

@DB_Explorer and @PanzerWaffles had tentative plans to go to the Zone Explorer Club and meet Sam for information (there is that suspicious knife, after all). What did @Zeitgeist Blue want to do?

@Druby 's gotten some stashes and jobs (which I'll update the OP with soon), where to next?

@Yurhime Himeyuri @Kyldin @DerPoltergeist Your call to buy things or not. That will create an equipment aspect to reflect a pool of drinks you have. In mechanics terms you can use these type of drinks to slightly offset minor radiation while recuperating in camp.

Posted. As clarification, Felix is only buying one bottle.

I didnt think it would make sense for Keiko and Teijo to buy that many bottles since the radiation thing is still skeptical in their minds. The alcohol just tastes damn good apparently! so they'll have bought two for the road.

@Sushi

i hope two posts in a row doesnt mean spamming or anything like that...

but...I was talking to @DerPoltergeist about this mostly as a joke, but since the wine is so damn good, and Teijo is sending some bottles back home, wouldnt it be funny if the Ayanami head just kidnaps this woman to make wine for the family? :rofl:

Okay, reality check.

Things are slowing down to the point where it's getting difficult for me and the fun's dying.

I love GMing, you're good writers and I enjoy doing all these crazy picture editing things. But the IC posting is slower than it probably has to be, because it looks like 90% of the cast is busy at the same time, just IRL, signing up for other RPs and bad timing in general. I know it's hard to avoid that. However, we really need to work on communicating in general and using the OOC to field questions / suggestions / criticisms. I'm in this weird situation where the posting has gotten slow, but nobody is saying if they're not having fun or if they're disliking something. If I need to compel more aspects or you guys simply want to get to the fighting or zone-y bits faster, that's all pertinent information.

I know we have good writers, a lot of you are in other RPs, but I'm not seeing anything like the same enthusiasm here. Saying you don't like something isn't going to hurt my feelings, but having to force everyone to post by spamming the OOC is like pulling nails. I'm going to burn out being 80% of the writing in the RP. It's also weird there's 10 players, and only ever 2-3 likes/hugs on most of the posts — where's the interaction?

Despite that, I like doing work and I like writing. If we have to skip entire sections to get to more interesting gunfights and anomaly hunts, we can do that. This vacuum we're having at the moment isn't helping, though. So what are we going to do?
