While this will inevitably strengthen the response from reinforcements, it will also put Pyrite in their element, and prepare refugees best for further survival and resistance. Obviously, this will also save the most.

Damn, Pyrite really can just break space marines by talking in a very short conversation on active battlefield without even knowing what he is dealing with at first. As he gets a more detailed picture about how the Imperium operates, its values and the propaganda it spews out, as well as the indoctrination measures? I'm imagining a bad time for the space fascists.

On the vote: If we can do it, saving lives is the best option, I think. And hopefully we will be moving fast enough to outrun the escalation, considering that this would be Pyrite operating in his element.

It should be noted they only broke the youngest and least veteran of them, but yeah, Pyrite's core power is to shut down indoctrination, contrarianism, or kneejerk emotional responses, so to handle it a victim has to essentially re-convince themselves of the attacked beliefs within the conversation. Throwing newbies at him who've done terrible things in the name of beliefs they don't fully understand/aren't fully convinced of themselves is a recipe for disaster.

Pyrite needs to become a symbol, for symbols hold immense weight in the Immaterium. There will be time for other levels of strategy to be applied against their enemy, but for now, the people need a hero, a symbol against the murderous tyranny that has come for them.
