Keep in mind that the form at the forefront is supposed to be the Undying's corporeal form (Power Armor maybe, or just figured out how to keep themselves solid) while the blue humanoid at the background is their incorporeal form.
I don't know, the Unbidden like keeping their Energy Bodies, and while I wouldn't want the Undying to discard theirs, there's a certain style to having Power-Armor or a Solid Form so we can spook other species by appearing like figures straight out of their mythology and playing the "Magic in your Sci-Fi" card to keep them on their toes as our entire civilization stays hidden and in stealth.
Speaking of a Solid Form/Power Armor, here's more ideas on some of them!
The former still fits with the Undying's style of having visible energy weapons/exhaust, but the latter just looks creepy in a good way.

Oh goody. The forum just ate that update. Ill work on getting that back up and running now. I was so excited to finally have gotten time to hammer that out too. Stand by for update and possible salt on your QM's end. Last time I cut and paste instead of copy and paste.
If you cut, can't you just hit the 'Undo' button on your word processor?
I mean, probably not by NOW, but yknow for future reference. Also when as the last save?
so as of right know where a Unbidden like race whose fragile btw were on death world difficulty with IN-SKIP as our mode of transportation and we use missiles. welp were just in for a treat arent we.
The Voice has spoken. The Ghost Council has carried out its wishes. The world trembles in response.
NOTE: Only one research option per category please. All votes in updates will be done by plan as well. As a final note, The dice gods clearly love you people. Two rare techs on turn one.
[ ] Food Processing
With research the Undying have finally discovered a use for this 'food' less evolved life on Yomi relies on. With careful cultivation and harvesting of certain plant types very potent biological fuels can be made to be burned for energy. Reveals Natural Fuels resources, Food resources.
Unlocks Buildings: Bioreactor, Natural Fuels Converter Research Needed: 36
[ ] Genome Mapping
By working to further understand the makeup of individual Undying we have been able to isolate beneficial traits to extend lifespan. Scientists hint that this may be the first of several advances made to the Undying as a species. +5 years Leader Lifespan Research Needed: 36
[ ] Biological Study
These labs are the first step to dedicated research into the physiology of not only the Undying but a myriad of other species as well. Unlocks Building: BioLab 1 Research Needed: 36
[ ] Mining Efforts
Mining can be difficult for those with no corporeal forms. That being said these mine buildings go a long way to helping with those problems Unlocks Building: Mining Network 2 Research Needed: 36
[ ] Powered Exoskeletons
A way for our forces and diplomats to interact with meatspace, these exoskeletons aid greatly with mining and engineering efforts as well. +5% Mineral Production, Engineering Research, and some kick-ass mini-mechs for your people to pilot around. Research Needed: 36
[ ] Void Habitation
Your people are remarkable among all life on your home system for one primary reason. While you have need of an atmosphere to give form to your fields of energy, you have no need of a breathable atmosphere. Unlocks Orbital: Habitat Research Needed: 50
[ ] Integrated Interfaces
A selection of high end and powerful sensor suites allowing much faster reactions to fields used by clerks and administrators to issue commands to computers they use. This advance will no doubt lead to many others but the immediate uses in the field of research should not be understated. +5% research speed. Interesting implications for future advancements. Research Needed: 24
[ ] Physics Lab 1
The first advances down the path of dedicated labs for the study of Physics, these labs contain potent and powerful experimental particle generators and other equipment of the sort. Unlocks Building: Physics Lab 1 Research Needed: 36
[ ] Spirit-Slip Fields
An interesting property noted by a few biologists early on in the history of your species was the tendency of organic life to overlook your kind. This field projects a version of this interference on a massive scale making it very unlikely that organics will notice your ships. Their targeting computers may not be as affected though. Unlocks Component: Spirit-Slip Field Research Needed: 50

I will be making a separate post for this under information but I will briefly run you through the mechanics of this quest. You can choose any number of general actions you wish, provided you can pay the resource costs. The Undying are not going to play like any existing Stellaris race due simply to the potential of the species for stealth. This isn't really an option in Stellaris but will be here.
Chance based benefits will be decided by rolls. I will not allow Omake bonuses to influence these rolls. However, I will be giving rewards to Omakes. The most basic of these will be for Omakes deemed non-canon. Non-canon Omakes will allow its author to work with me to create a ground unit or ship that fits with the style of The Undying. I will then stat these ships and soldiers and make them available for purchase. Semi-canon Omakes will be able to add something to the empire itself through the creation of interesting applications of existing technology giving various benefits and drawbacks. WoG confirmed Omakes will be allowed to work with me to make some piece of technology uniquely suited to your empire conferring powerful bonuses and eventually making you all the invisible horrors of the galaxy you deserve to be.
With that I advise a moratorium on voting for an hour or so to discuss. I will be available to field questions at that time. Good luck.
