The Twilight Empire (Dynasty Quest)

Don't you think this isn't a bit premature to be calling it when there are only 4 votes cast and only after 5 hours?

Half the people who voted last time did so a bit far from now time-wise.

Hmmmm, your probably correct. I'll give it a bit more time, I suppose I'm overeager to continue with character creation.

Thank you. It wouldn't really be fair to leave a lot of people out of one of the more important decisions in the quest.

Also, would a person who started out unmarried here be able to get with someone relatively early on in the game?

Having sisters of marriageable age gives us the potential for alliances.

Probably, although if you want to get married quick it'll probably be someone "below" your station so to speak. If you waited a bit longer you could find someone off world who is a better match, or even marry into a higher station family.

I am closing the votes in about an hour, we need to get the character creation finished.

No one wants to play as the triplets who are all of marriageable age? Gameplay wise that means we could effectively get another major character or two really fast if we want to, and still get the problem of having children out of the way quickly to secure our dynasty.

Also, the age thing also really isn't much of a benefit unless you go for max in education from the start, otherwise its something you could have for a 15 year old easily.

Actually marring them off won't net you more family under your control, in fact the NPC family would basically take control of them (Assuming you are going for Primogeniture succession, if you had Matrilineal primogeniture that would be a different story), of course you would get a hefty relations bonus with whatever family you married them into.

@Yonatan would you be wiling to alter your plan to keep your main character unmarried with this information?

Are we able to use absolute primogeniture succession?

Alright, calling the vote. Yonatan wins by one.

@landude0 I'll allow @Yonatan to change a characters relation if he wants to.

All Basic Skills and starting % are listed here, other skills not listed exist, and may be gained later. Skills are color coded to match occupations, Skills that have had Occupation Points spent on them, cannot also have Personal Interest Points spent on them. Assign your two unused Occupations to your characters, and spend the points according to your wishes.

As a word of personal advice, I would seriously suggest putting a healthy number of points into Spot Hidden and Listen. Without those skills your character will be blind and deaf to all but the most obvious of things.

Skill cap is 75%

So, best bet is to have each character focus on something else. Trying to cover too many bases will only result in mediocre scores on all skills.
