The Survivor of Ruusan - Sith Quest

[X] - Meditated on the nature of the darkside
[X] - Naga Sadow
Sadow is the alchemist and sorcerer. If knowledge is what we seek this seems like a good source.

Vitiate knew how to force drain planets, dominate wills and befome imortal. Marka Ragnos was a sorcerer/Alchemist that thought Bit late and became a force spirit that helps sith every once in a while. I'm leaning to Vitiate because he night have the location to Daamond Kass former capital of the Sith empire or the other empire he made and he is the only Sith to achieve immorality. Another reason is the MC absorbed a bunch if power by accident which is similar to the for ritual that absorbed a planet and with lords.

[X] - Tried to catch news from the Holonet relays
[X] - Darth Vitiate

one info on the wide world would be useful
two i`m pretty sure i am going to regret that choice but i like it more then the others.

1. Ragnos - two votes

3. Vitiate - three votes

i'll throw in my vote for Vitiate and be done with this

Winner: Vitiate

When meditating on the dark side you gain 1pt of sith lore

The Inscription on the tomb read
"Here lay the tomb of Emperor Vitiate favoured son of the dark side"
You didn't know much about the particular sith lord but from what you do know is that Vitiate was immortal and almost conquered the galaxy from the republic but was eventually defeated.
Perhaps more could be learned within the tomb or the books you found.

The tomb is one of the newer ones on korriban but the Jedi have bombarded the valley many times throughout the millennia and even this one is damaged. Fortunately there does not seem to be anything blocking the entrance to the tomb complex itself.

After entering the first room you come to is hexagonal in nature and in the center there is a statue of a what you can only assume is the Emperor himself. He doesn't look that intimidating but as you well know from the brotherhood of darkness that looks can be deceiving.

The calling beckons you further into the tomb usually you would find many of Korribans native creatures inside but you have yet to encounter any, not even insects. The calling is becoming stronger and so is the dark side, Finally after many halls and winding hallways you reach the apex and source of the calling a vast underground sanctum in the shape of a pyramid. With a circular chasm surrounding a single platform in the middle.

Clearly from the sanctum entrance you can see that on the middle platform there is stasis field and inside is an obsidian coloured Holocron roughly the size of your fist. You are wary of traps as you circle around to the single walkway across the chasm.

The darkside is becoming almost painful as you are within the grasp of the holocron but you push through and as your fingers close around the holocron your mind goes black…

You find yourself standing in an empty black void, there is a black liquid covering the floor up to your ankles. You search with the force but it is to no avail you feel trapped, Lashing out with the force you try and break out but again to no avail.

It feels like month's day's hours pass but when all seemed lost you hear a voice behind you.

"Welcome to my home Sith"

With lightning quick agility you spin around igniting your lightsaber and prepare to defend yourself, but there is nothing there

Now the voice seems to be coming from everywhere at once

"Now now Sith, calm yourself I am not your enemy"

Staying on your guard you eased yourself and decided to listen to who you can only assume is the Emperor.

"Listen well Sith i am offering you Unlimited knowledge, Ultimate power even the Galaxy if you wish it. Yes i can tell what you are thinking, He will betray you perhaps steal your body for himself eventually. No is the answer, I would have liked to but i am only a Holocron the most advanced holocron in the galaxy i dare say but still just a mirror of the real Vitiate.
I hold all his knowledge and I am willing to share it with you if you wish it.

"Yes" you answer perhaps the holocron was lying perhaps not but for now you needed a master and the Emperor needed an apprentice.

"Good Good as the Emperor of the sith I offer you my name if you wish it or you can choose one more suited to yourself it matters not."

"Henceforth you shall be known as Darth _____ Dark lord of the Sith"

[X] Darth Vasilius

Because naming his successor "King" is the sort of thing I would imagine Vitiate doing if he couldn't rule the galaxy personally.

Korriban pt 2
2 years later inside the holocron

"Rise Darth Vasilius i have taught you much but the enhanced learning techniques the holocron provides will damage the mind if used excessively. Thus I let you go from here until I deem you ready for another session. Go forth and use what I have taught you and do me proud my son.

Rising to your full height you felt powerful and eager to put your newfound powers to the test. Eventually the galaxy would learn the name Darth Vasilius.

Vitiate called you son have you embraced him as a father figure or do you humor him for now?

[ ] - Embrace the legacy of Emperor Vitiate
+Legitimacy: to force ghosts and other beings that lived under or before Vitiate will respect you for your lineage.
+Powerful ally: by tying yourself personally to Vitiate you make sure that your enemies are his enemies.

-Powerful enemies: embracing vitiates legacy will put you very high on the jedi and any other sith lords hit list.

[ ] - Reject the legacy of Emperor Vitiate
+Low profile: right now you might as well not exist nobody knows of you and doing your affairs will be easy without attracting unwanted attention.
+No strings: no allies but no enemies either you can make what you will there's nobody out to get you but neither anyone looking out for you either.

-Nobody: it's hard doing deals and alliances when nobody knows who you are. There is no one who can vouch for you if need be.

Before leaving Vitiate gives you a few sage pieces of advice.
"Before you go, if you need my advice simply call upon me from the holocron and here is a parting gift. These are the hyperspace coordinates to my throneworld of Dromund kaas perhaps you can find something that remains of my old empire when you have established yourself."

It was time you made your mind leave the holocron and with an instant you opened your eyes, finding yourself standing in the tomb of Vitiate holding the black holocron in your hand.

It seems like only seconds had passed outside the holocron but for you it had been almost two years.

How did you feel about that

Heading back to the academy you saw Grond standing outside your ship waiting for you arrival.

"Welcome back my lord, everything is ready for your departure"

"From this day i shall be known to you and the galaxy as Darth vasilius dark lord of the sith"

"Of course my lord, I fear the jedi will soon come here. What shall we do next?"

"We shall travel to.."

[ ] - Nar shaddaa (Criminal)
You have over half a billion credits that are the spoils of war of the dark brotherhood and you are sure that money can secure a sizeable holding on nar shaddaa.

[ ] - Muunilist (legal)
The muun control the intergalactic banking clan and you have a lot of dirty money that needs to be cleaned. You are also sure that the muun will happily invest those credits on your behalf into weapons, ships, mining and other very important financial sectors.

If we set up with the muun we could end up bumping in to Plagus later down the line. Also it puts us in the republic, meaning no raising armies, so we would be limited to sneaky things. So it would be best to pick nobody for this path if taken.
Going to the Hutts will force the Jedi to come alone without armies. It will also allow the MC to be more open because he is outside republic space allowing us to take son of vitiate and build armies.

But Plagueis won't be alive for centuries. Plus, I'm not sure if we can actually take over the Republic by military means. We could just plagiarize the plan Palpatine and Plagueis came up with and take over from the inside.
