Well, here it is. I choose to blame the delay on my work schedule suddenly deciding that I'm not allowed to have free time.

Chapter 1.1: For Whom The Bell Tolls
Distantly, a gong sounded, marking the transition to noon as the monk began finishing the sutra. You moved stiffly, popping your back as you shifted for the first time in a half an hour, and survey the… you hesitated to even call it a crowd, as thin and spread across the wooden shrine as it was. Tohsaka and her… mentor, you supposed, had come, claiming that it was her duty as Second Owner to be in attendance. Beyond that, few of his other other 'acquaintances' deigned to take part, and those that did already smelled like sake. Even Grandfather had disappeared shortly after the ceremony commenced, giving no other reason beyond a bored expression - something that left the attending priest quite flustered.
It seemed that Byakuya Matou's death had passed by as quietly as his life.
You hear something shudder besides you, and glance over: Sakura had covered her eyes with the sleeve of her black kimono, but you could still make out the sound of clenched sobbing. She'd seemed stable since this morning, but you'd stepped outside for a moment during the visitation for a breath of fresh air, and once you returned, she'd seemed to have lost herself.
You didn't understand why his death hurt her so; You had been his son, and past the initial terror you felt, all you could muster now was a detached apathy. Byakuya may as well have died to you years ago, for all that he impacted your life now. But, you reflect, perhaps Sakura had seen him in a different light.
The sea of worms wreathing towards her like a tide
But you doubted it. Still, you were her older brother.
You should…
[] ...console her. Offer her your shoulder and a little of the warmth you had within you. You had to watch out for her, because no one else would.
[] ...chide her. She was the face of the Matou family now, and she had to show a strong front to the rest of the world. It'd pick her apart otherwise.
[] ...let her be. She needed to figure things out on her own, and coddling her would only make things worse. You might not be there to help her one day, after all.

After dealing with Sakura, there really hadn't been much left for you to do. Father's ashes were buried in the family plot, and your sister's tears had ceased. Now you were left with the question of what you should do after attending a funeral: Grandfather hadn't left any instructions for either of you, leaving the rest of the day free.
You could go for a walk: The oppressive nature of the Matou estate had driven you out on numerous occasions, and you'd become quite familiar with Fuyuki City and the countryside surrounding it by now. You could go to a few arcades around the town, or visit Shirou: He'd been adamant in telling you that his door was always open, when you gave him the news. Or you could head out into the forest and get some 'practice' in. That always helped you relax.
Still… you glance at Tohsaka and her minder, only now rising from their seats and dusting themselves off. She'd seemed lost in her own little world for the whole thing, but it would be polite to at least thank the pair for attending.
Or you could head straight home, lock yourself in your room, and putz around on the Internet for awhile. Still, that's likely means running into Grandfather...
What do you do?
[] Return to the estate, and try to slip under Grandfather's radar. You'd rather not have to deal with him today. This would at least let you wear something more casual than your funerary clothes.
[] Meet with Tohsaka and at least thank her for attending. Even if she wasn't paying attention, the thought has to count for something, right?
[] Head out into the city!
- [] Wander around for a while and hit up the arcades; You need some mindless violence to relax.
- [] Visit Shirou. Your friend had a nice enough place, and you could do for some company.
[] Head into the forest for some privacy and 'train'. You thought of something you might be able to try, if you can find a creak…
Wait, you couldn't just leave Sakura to return home alone - if nothing else, then Grandfather would be furious.
You could…
[] ...walk Sakura home first.
[] …bring Sakura with you.
