Back on Earth
"Tsubasa, I was thinking we should check to see if any of the other passengers remember, er, what's just happened" I tell her, a lump in my throat emerging when I notice that the subway appears much less packed than it was before, and I don't think just because we've reached our stop.
With her nodding in agreement, we try asking the people around us but with little result, with most of them either ignoring us or reacting in panic. Not helping is that both Yeats or Aleister seemed to have already vanished from sight.

But finally we got results from asking that thin woman we'd seen chaining up several Moonmen. "Hah, and here I was thinking it was all some bizarre dream I got from overworking. You may call me Tamara, I've just returned from a promising Milan exhibition, and this-" that rock-chained Persona of hers then materialised behind her "-would be Andromeda, lovely specimen, I trust you've already seen her. Lovely specimen, says she's of the 'Strength Arcana'" Tamara finishes introducing herself, a pleased smirk on her face.
"Thanks for your help Madame. My name's Felicia, and these would be Tefnut of Temperance and Lunar Rabbit of Moon" I gestured to my two Personae.
"Tsubasa Aoba and Star Romeo, at your service ma'am!" Tsubasa gives a dramatic bow.
Tamara gave us a faintly amused grin "My, aren't we intriguing? Unfortunately, I'm otherwise as new to all this business as you are so I can't say anymore, especially since I do have somewhere to be. But don't worry, you'll certainly see me around, that I can assure you" She gives another wink at us and then heads off.

Fortunately we didn't have search long to run into our next Persona inductee "Ah'm telling y'all, we got to lifted to the Moon, and then these aliens started attacking us but then these ghosts started coming out of our heads-" a Southern-accented woman was rambling to two people near her, one of them the dark-haired boxer from before, the other a thin suited man with curls at the front of his hair.
"Yes yes Zelda, of course you were on the Moon. Though honestly dear, leave the storytelling to Ernest and I, it's hardly your forte" the man replied to her.
"Much as I hate to defend her Scott" the dark-haired 'Ernest' snarled, then sighed "I also went through exactly what she's described. Made short work of those 'aliens', a good 20 of them got wrecked by my fists. Then again, you could argue I wasn't all too sober either".
The three of them already left before I could get a chance to talk with them, but I did notice that Matador figure and another Personae who looked like a red-haired noblewoman with lilies growing out of her hovering beside them.

That just left that blonde woman in the sky-blue dress with that list, but when the two of us tried to approach her at the station she immediately darted away, so much for that.

Of course, that mysterious blue door was still right where it was...
[ ] "Tsubasa, should we have a look at that strange door?".
[ ] "Tsubasa, I trust you have your own appointments, while I have something here I still want to check out. Er, i-it was an honour to have you with me".
[ ] "Tsubasa, I trust you have your own appointments, while I have multiple errands my Mistress would like me to run. Er, I-it was an honour to have you with me".

Welcome to the Velvet Room/A Game of Chess
"That door? Well if we do investigate it, better sooner than later then" Tsubasa replied after some deliberating.
Approaching the opening the unknown door, on the other side of it we find a vast room draped in blue and black, with the edges of it shrouded in mists and will-o-wisp-like lights. Scattered throughout this room are various games, a backgammon board, packs of cards, a pool table, a dartboard, and in the centre a currently ongoing game of chess, with a brown-haired golden-suited masked man moving one of the black pieces and a silver-haired red-jacketed man on the side of the white.

"Hello, and welcome to the Velvet Room" says a sudden voice near me, I quickly turn around and see it belongs to a young, white-haired gentleman dressed in black, his unearthly features marred only by a rather prominent nose. "Hmm, I don't believe I remember my Master inviting the two of you in, but I highly doubt you could ever cause much harm to us, and it'd be unprofessional if we ever turned down Persona-users in need. So by all means make yourselves at home, even if my Master is a bit occupied with another guest at the moment".

"Oh no, it's no problem at all Igor. Come in, come in" gestures the brown-haired man to us "Now you've already met Igor, and you may call me Philemon. This here would be... er, how would you prefer to be addressed?" he asks of the silver-haired man.
"The Time Count will do for now" comes the icy response, followed by a mocking laugh "Well now, your Personae was awakened by another human, of all things? At least the inevitable tragedy will be amusing to watch".
"Thank you greatly for having us" I say bowing to Philemon and ignoring the Time Count, pulling a glaring Tsubasa away from him "But if I may ask, um, what exactly is this place?".

"Ah yes, this Velvet Room exists to provide assistance to Persona users, such as fate has now made you. Now Personae are remarkable things on their own, however through the Fusion service we offer we can combine two weaker Personae into an even stronger one, and if the ties you have with people are strong enough, the fused Personae as an incarnation of your mind will be stronger yet. Of course, if you'd ever like your old Personae back, just register them with Igor in the Persona Compendium and he'll resurrect them as they were" Philemon tells us.
"However-" Philemon then says "you might want to hold on to your Starting Persona for just a while longer. True, it may seem weaker than what you could achieve through Fusion, but I can sense a special significance within it".

"Personae, Fusion, Social Links, Compendium, Starter, okay got it!" Tsubasa then says after coming out of a daze.

"Of course, before we can begin our services to you, we request but one thing" Igor then says, handing us both a piece of paper "A Contract, it asks nothing much, simply that you take full responsibility for your own actions 'I chooseth this fate of my own free will'"
Tsubasa and I both stare cautiously at it, but since the contract appears to be exactly as Igor says it is, we both, albeit cautiously, sign our names.

"Good. Now would you be needing our services right this instant, or will that be all for now?".
[ ] "Indeed, that'll be all"
[ ] "Let's try out fusion (even though we've got only three Personae...)"
[ ] Ask if there's anything else we should look out for (veekie write-in).
[ ] Ask about the Metaverse (Nightless write-in).
[ ] Write-in.

OOC: Don't know if I'm making Philemon a bit too open a figure here; the idea I had was that Igor had yet to be fully entrusted with the Velvet Room.
