Okay I guess

You can apply your cards much like how the Organisation apply funds, so due to being in the region with the facility you could use your magic card you drew and your devotion card you drew on magic-related actions. Help investigate the crow situation or use the facility and start researching at how you'll break the second seal.

Your charisma card you drew can be used on befriending local government and swaying the region to the side of the company, or you can use it to meddle with international politics.

I reworked the action post to give a few ideas on how the cards can be applied.

If too many choices are being provided, I can try and narrow the scope.

@Spore Instead of establishing a in company PMC is there an option to hire an established one and if so what would the costs be?

The Lowest Cost for Establishing or Hiring a PMC would be 500 funds, or roughly 10 development theories, or a mix of both. Establishing one would mean better control over what you get out of it but I suppose you could hire one and get a pre-determined one with flaws and boons that come from years of experience.

PMCs are like giga-agents, very powerful, very expensive, kinda bad at soft tactics that agents excel in.

So yeah you can go ahead and buy a PMC.

Hmm, I have an idea gentlemen. King Charles is drawing power by invoking his authority over England.

And we have managed to draw the attention of a Norse god all the way in balmy Texas.

Could we do something tangential here in America? We have myths of our own.

Uncle Sam. Paul Bunyan. John Henry. The Goddess Columbia.

[X] Attempt to purchase materials for use in construction of a shrine to Columbia and Uncle Sam, the closest things America the Nation has to patron deities.

How much money do we have currently? 500$ right.

Edit: What is the difference between taking the Texian HQ offer and building our own. Does taking the Government one just get us one Immediately? and building one requires multiple actions/stockholders. Or does building one just require funding.

The Government would let you get one Immediately without having to pay any cost, and you'd see a massive opening up in development actions and influence actions and a very happy Texan State Government once the HQ is up + a boost of 200 more dollars per turn

Or you could spend the money yourselves to build a HQ from nothing that would take a few turns due to how pricy it is to build a HQ.

I suppose you could build a HQ in 1-2 turns with some modest investment, due to the number of players who are now agents, the remaining shareholders are throwing a lot of money around.

And the company has 500$ per turn atm yes.

Each theory is also worth around 50$, so you can just spend all your newly discovered theory on super-boosting an action but I do recall yous all wanting to keep theory to buff the company.

[X] Take the Texan Offer and allow them to give us a HQ. This will automatically give us a HQ allowing us to influence the world to a much greater extent, let's just hope it's not bugged.

To: Board of Directors

Subject: HQ acquisitions and renovations

From: Strix

The building provided by the Texas State Government has proven sufficient for our needs. Renovations of the loading and laboratory areas will need to be conducted but it should be prepared by the deadline. The question of security needs to be raised as the team lacks the expertise for thorough debugging procedures, as such it is highly recommended that a refresher course on information security is mandatory for our employees and the possibility of information leakage be regarded as high.

The document restoration has been largely successful and new insights gained from our greater proximity to additional phenomena has suggested new efficiencies towards [Redacted]. Whether the board decides that further usage of [Redacted] is necessary establishing control over the facility is paramount. To such ends our prior arrangement with the Butterfield will not be sufficient due to loyalty concerns. If we could buy them off our rival certainly could and without knowledge of their information on [Redacted] it is certain they will seek its control sooner than later.

To avoid beating around the bush too much we need Professionals. Mercenaries who can be counted on to continue the reclamation without breaking or burning highly valuable equipment or essential documents. For this end I have started looking into groups of which prior relations were established although if requested I can begin assembling a list of names for hiring within the company.

In other regards a full report of the corvid incident would be appreciated.

So the gods are real some mutter? It is certainly a strange display but we can't deny that by focusing on a god from history seemingly provided a real result.
Or its a matter of dedication.
The other goods were a rapid series of changing callouts.
This was months for one specific.
Or a mix:
The didcation of historic people mixed with ours.
After a few more months of research we had to stop the study after the facility we were using froze in the middle of the Texan summer and one of our more risky scientists was taken away by the flock of crows.
Hope they return him.
Hope he will be sane enough to still act as scientist.
They do seem to try and avoid the nearby churches as well.
Different pantheons seeming to dislike each other.
General thing or specific to the history between the pantheons?

Its very tempting to re-invest those into catching the 3 eyed crowd. (3 is a significant number in Norse/Germanic mythology)

+10 Development Theory
+30 Relationship with the Texas Government
-20 Company Control
Good on that relationship, meh on the control, will have to rebuild that.
But, with the other effects
-30 Awareness. People barely know we exist anymore, even the Texas Government is forgetting our ties to the shattering.
[] We have gotten such a surge of development knowledge, that we could go further than just recruiting agents… we could begin the establishment of a PMC.
We could try to turn it around, "Charm"ing our way into influence in the Texas gov.
Start a PMC able to deal with the paranormal and let them do merc work for the government.
Let the connection to the shattering fade out of the minds and establish ourselves as the paranormal-problem solvers.
Could even try putting our shattering-blame on our competitors.

Given the cultural importance of the battle of the Alamo to Texans, maybe folk heroes like Davie Crockett?

@Spore Is this write-in ok for a shareholder action?
[X] Accept the Texas government's offer and immediately sweep for bugs and wire taps. They can't exactly complain without admitting to tampering, after all.

Maybe. But all honesty, Uncle Sam is probably the most 'powerful' American supernatural entity if we assume that notoriety=potency. Far more well known than just about any of the folk heroes, and while Columbia would in theory have more power, she is barely culturally relevant.

Would probably be tied directly to the District of Columbia as well.

Split tasks will have split funds, but more than possible, the back of house is super flexible so get creative.

-[X] Devotion / Magic 1 : Start researching the gods, more specifically, see if you can turn the company mascot into a god through prayer and animal sacrifice.
-[X] Charisma 1 : isn't our mascot so cute, it would be such a shame to not spread their cuteness to others so that they can worship I mean, so that they may admire it, start producing plushies of our mascot to sell to the American - but more specifically the Texan - people.

Question @Spore, would a charisma card be the one used to create plushies of our company mascot to sell or would it be other card?

If you desire I can draw your character a portrait, I'm planning to make one of my own Agent too
Just give me the description if you want me to do that

Charisma works

Viewer Creation: Artwork of Shareholder SolAnon1
Behold, after a entire day of drawing and then discarding characters my agent finally has an appearance which makes me happy, Behold

And yes, the weird bird mask is an important part of the character.

Edit: Did a little doodling while in college, enjoy
Also we need a name for our company mascot.

I have to say, whilst I haven't processed the turn yet, I am in love with how the organisation/agent dynamic is gonna work. Looks like some great moves team and you'll need em! Good stuff, I might consider processing the turn sooner than usual due to all the usual faces already having picked an option.

Okay, I think I found some good names for our company mascot, here is a list of some I think are cool:

Saelig – "Blessed" (Old English)

Selwyn – "friend of the seal" (English)

Selby – "village by the seal's dwelling" (English)

Marisela – "Sea and heaven" (Latin)

Marilla – "Shining sea" (Latin)

what do you guys think?

EDIT: Also you guys should also suggest some names for our mascot.
