My experience playing Kaiserreich it's better to have a strong Long and a weak Reed than a weak Long and strong Reed.

I'm fine with either of these two, also lets not become syndicalist there are already 2 US Syndicalist Kaiserreich quests already that shit getting too stale for me.

Even now the Hooverites and eastern establishment cannot afford to cut out the heart of Republicanism and abandon the arch-conservative yankee businessmen and their god-given republican political machines to some damn socialist mob, so better to throw the democrats to the wolves first- and firmly push into our caucus any surviving leftovers that didn't bend the knee to Long's southern populists as reluctant new "independent democrats" or "democratic-republicans".

This is actually a tricky decision. Long's the weakest faction in the civil war and so I'm less concerned about empowering him, but we also want to get on forming a united front with the moderates, and passing the bill without empowering any of our foes is an enticing prospect.
