Okay, I feel the need to make something clear. I'm going to be doing multiple updates over the course of Halloween for me, so the first event set I gave is for the first update. And the second set will be for the second. So, just wanted to make sure you guys know. I'll probably try and get to it when I get up from sleeping, which will likely be in less than twelve hours or so.

Today was Halloween, a day full of supposed revelry and merry making. Also scares and candy, supposedly. And for this naval base, it was it's first one. The US ship girls were busy getting ready for a type of Halloween they didn't really have when they were ships, the others...

"Okay, so from what I've been able to remember and can tell. Halloween is a holiday where for the most part people below a certain age go out and about playing tricks or getting treats, during which costumes are worn."

"Okay, but why nyaa?"

"I'm not too sure off the top of my head, but think about it like this...free, candy."

"Well nyaa..."

"Oh come on, it'll be fun...maybe."

"Ah, alright. I'll try to not to rain on your parade anymore." Shigure relented, mostly at the strange glow Yamato was starting to emanate.

While that was happening in the mess, John was on the deck making plans for what was needed at the store.

"Okay, so we have our lists done?"

"Yes sir, pumpkins, candy, some supplies to make costumes alongside some pre made costumes, that's about it."

"Don't forget some supplies for decorations, even if they aren't that elephant, some are necessary." Akatsuki said.

"Okay, decorations too. Alright, let's head out."

So those three went off to one of the larger islands to get the holiday supplies. The trip to the store was mostly calm, beyond a few warning shots at some abyssals. When the group reached the main island, they went through the naval base and had a quick conversation with the admiral and his staff. Next was heading through stores, mostly some party store and grocery stores. It took a couple of stops thanks to some stores being low on the supplies being looked for. But the return trip saw the three laden with bags full of all manner of things, and a couple boxes of take out to mix things up for lunch.

When the group returned to the base, they were met by WOsp who had some news.

"Hello sir, things have been fine so far. Outside of one incident that's still going on. Ah,let me help with that. Ergh." WOsp yelled down as she told the admiral about what was going on and helped lift the supplies on to the deck.

"Really? What's happened now?"

"After some questions were asked about fall foods for us 'Muricans, Kongou got the bright idea to cook some to get on your "Love love side" before Maury decided to show her how to make a real piece of American fall food. We thankfully were able to get them down to just making up a pumpkin pie each, instead of the Thanksgiving spread they were originally planning on."

"...Thank you guys, so much. I wouldn't have wanted to deal with that much food possibly being made and then not eaten."

"They were getting some scary ideas sir. When the ideas of bacon cranberry deep fried turkey filled with stuffing and using tea as the gravy was too much and had to be stopped."

"Indeed, but let's go to check on them to make sure it hasn't gotten too far out of hand." A bunch of nods and then the group of now four headed to the kitchen. Along the way Shigure and O'Bannon joined them. When the group reached the kitchen, they certainly saw something.

Kongou was wearing some odd outfit covered by an apron, and Maury was wearing her normal Captain America outfit with an apron over it. Both were putting the finishing touches on their pies before showing them in the ovens. John held off on anything being said till after the two put their pies in the ovens, at which point John spoke up.

'So, you two decided to have a little competition eh?" Both ship girls jumped, then turned around. Both looked nervous, and their aprons were a mess. Oddly unlike the rest of the kitchen.

"Uh, commander. What a surprise." Maury said, looking rather very nervous.

"So, what's been going on here?"

"Kongou decided to bake a pumpkin pie, and then I decided to show her how it was really done. Some things happened, and Kongou alongside myself and Shaw found ourselves baking pies. Shaw finished her's a few minutes ago, while Kongou and myself just finished."

"I noticed, so we'll see how your pies turned out later."

"Yes sir."'Absolutely my teitoku!" Both ship girls said in varying degrees of volume. John was about to leave with the others, before he said one last thing.

"Oh, and if there was a mess left over. Then the both of you would've had to clean it up without help from your fairies or the crew or the other ship girls...see you both in a bit before lunch." With that, John left both ship girls a little paler than before.

While all of the others were having lunch, one of the summoning circles started acting up. From it came another ship girl, this one with a horn. She looked around and saw no one to greet her, and decided to outside of the room she was in for anyone else. When she looked outside the room, she saw nothing but the metallic hallways of a ship. A quick series of glances both ways, and then she randomly walked down a corridor. Things would continue like this for the awhile, until she came into contact with someone else.

While eating lunch, John thought he heard some type of clop clop type of sound and decided to get up to check it out before heading to the bathroom real quick. When he got to the hallway he saw nothing, but could hear the sound easier. A bit of walking closer to the sound, and he saw a shadow. It looked strange and had a horn, plus it was getting closer. John decided to just say something and get things over with.

"Hello? Do you need some help?"

"Ah, finely. I've been wandering around for awhile now and your the first person I've come across." The source of the shadow and sound said as it drew closer.

"Well, you've found someone now. Need any help?"

"Ah certainly could. Where am I and what's going on?" The source of the sound and shadow finally broke the corned, and revealed a woman in a bikini with red hair and a unicorn horn. She was clapping a two halves of coconuts together, which seemed to be the source of the sound.

"Alright, I'll just show you to the mess real quick. I have to take care of something but we can get you informed real quick on what's going on."

"Alright, let's go. I'm Narwhal by the way." The newly named Narwhal said, before her horn started glowing and her coconuts began floating in the air.

"Okay then. Let's go."

It was a few hours later, and everything was decorated. Lot's of orange and black paint with lot's of glitter. And Shigure in an outfit that made her seem like even more of a cat. And pumpkins carved by all the ship girls put up on the deck. And all the ship girls who were going trick or treating were in costumes. Except for Akatsuki who was unsure.

"Oh, do I or don't I?"

"Something wrong Akatsuki?"

"Hm? Oh, just not sure whether or not I wish to join the others trick or treating. Or handing out the candy. This will be basically my first Halloween after all."

"Why not go out with them, they'll need someone else to watch over them and make sure things are alright. Yamato will only really be looking after Enterprise after all."

"I guess that will work."

"Terrific, and if you want to go out in a costume I suggest you do so now."

"Yes, I think I will."

The time was close, in just a few minutes some of the ship girls would be out and about going for candy while others would be helping to hand it out.

"Alright, now those of you going let's get ready." John said on the deck, to try and help the ship girls who would be going out trick or treating get ready.

After a bit, they came out. Most of his fleet so far. Shaw was dressed up as a white mage from final fantasy, Mahan's costume was Batgirl, Maury was dressed up as Superman over her Captain America costume, Shigure however was in a Tigra costume quite against her will, O'Bannon had a Starfleet uniform costume, Enterprise wore a Mickey Mouse costume, on Yamato was a Sayaka Yumi pilot outfit, and Akatsuki's costume was a simple vampire costume.

"So, good luck you guys." And the fleet of ship girls gave their confirmations and good byes before leaving.

"You think this was a good idea sir?"

"I have no idea Wisconsin, we'll find out when they get back."

"Alright, I'll go put on an outfit for when the trick or treaters show up."

"Ok, I'll just be waiting here. See if WOsp and Kongou want to join us handing out candy." Wisconsin gave a wave at that, and went back inside.

"Okay, we have a map of all sorts of the places where we can go around. Now make sure you all stay close, no need to risk it." Akatsuki said while raising her voice to make sure the others could hear her without needing to use their comms unnecessarily. All of the others gave their confirmations in varying ways.

Their first stop was along the way on the water.

"Okay, it was supposed to be right around here...Oh, there we go." Akatsuki was saying, looking around. Until a light started coming up from under water. It was in a very specific pattern, like that of a Jack-O-Lantern. Slowly it rose, and became ever more clear. The lights were becoming brighter and closer by the second, until the source broke the water and became clear.

"Woo, I'm a ghost." The shape said, covered in a white sheet. Some of the ship girls in the fleet cried out, mostly in amused screams.

"Alright everyone, all together now." Akatsuki started. And all of the ship girls there went along with it and said trick or treat together.

"Woo, I guess I'll just. Have. To. Give. You. All. A...Treat, woo." The figure pseudo wailed, before handing out candy to each of the ship girls. Who either placed it in a bag or in their rigging. Then the figure flipped up her costume to reveal her self. A girl with brown hair revealed herself.

"Oh, are you...uh, what was it. I-401?"

"Yup, hope you all have a safe trip."

"Thanks, now come one everyone. There are more stops to make. Good bye I-401." Akatsuki ended with a wave joined by most of the others.

Their journey continued, and there were many stops along the way. A couple of naval bases, a ridiculous number of houses, and various other places. There were even a few haunted houses that were visited, and even a stop at the Party at Pearl Harbor for about thirty minutes with a some nice amounts of treats gained from it. After a good few hours of trick or treating, the fleet went back for another couple hours of the Pearl Harbor Halloween party. At around three AM the group finished making their way back to the base.

At the base things were mostly fine and calm, it was for the most part just groups of trick or treaters. Some were not too notable, others were very notable.

"Well what do we have here."

"Wawr, ah'm a dinsawr. Wawr." Said a little red haired girl in a dinosaur costume.the battleship Arizona

"Alright little ar, now what do we say." The taller adult red head with one eye prompted the smaller one.the battleship Arizona

"It was, uh. Twick or tweat."

"That's right, now go up to the nice group of people and see what you get."

"Okay mommy.*walks over to John and the others* Twick or tweat." The little red haired girl said holding up a pillow case.

"Alright, let's see what we have. I have a...lollipop, how about a nice cherry lollipop." John said pulling a lollipop out of the bowl of candy he had.

"Yay, a lollipop."

"Why don't you go check with the others, they might have something for you too."

"Can we mommy?"

"Hmm, I don't know."

"I'll be weally good mommy."

"Hmm, alright. Let's go."

"Yay, let's go to the giant pumpkin lady whose in the aiw. She looks like the gweat pumpkin." The little girl pulled at her mothers hand."

"Okay. And thanks for the candy."

"Alright, and happy hunting." John said with a wave as the two went over to WOsp first.

There were a few others that were worth noting. Like a group where one of the kids was a younger version of Wisconsin, or another that was being lead by an adult Ikazuchi with a very young Yamato, and a number of others. All the way till midnight.

Though while that was going on, there were disco lights coming out of one of the summoning circles. Over time five shapes were formed, and came out of the circle. After midnight and some running around unencumbered, the five were able to meet up with John.

"Whoa, what have we here." John said, and was met with a series of barks and woofs."Looks like we've got some more ships. Kongou, how about you take care of them."

"Alright teitoku, I will make sure these puppies are taken care of. Now come to Kongou you fuzzy little puppies." Kongou lead off as the little corgi PT boats' survival instincts kicked in, and they started running away from her as fast as they could. And the following chase was almost like something out of Tom and Jerry, with Tom winning slowly but surely.

"Huh, guess I'll find out how that turns out later. Guess for now I'll just get something from the mess while waiting for the others to get back. How about you Wisconsin, WOsp."

"I'm going to head to bed, just feeling to tired to stay up."

"What about you WOsp?"

"I'm going to stay up too, now I just need...There we go." And WOsp flew back up into the air on the pulley system she used to stay up in the air.

"Okay, let me know when you see them and make sure Narwhal let's us know when she's taking a break or done for the night." To which John got a thumbs up. With a nod in return John headed down to the mess to get some food before waiting for the others to return.
----
When the others returned, after a few more straggler trick or treaters popped up, they all seemed tired. Shaw was mostly fine alongside Maury, but Mahan was occasionally nodding off, Shigure was walking around with her eyes half open, O'Bannon was clearly dead on her feat, Akatsuki was a bit drowsy looking, and Yamato looked like she was almost ready for bead with Enterprise asleep and cuddled in her arms.

"Hello commander*yawn* we're back." Akatsuki drawled out, very clearly tired and outfit less crisp than earlier.

"You guys have fun?*a bunch of nods*Alright, how about you guys get a quick snack and before getting out of those costumes then heading for bed...at least for those of you who are not basically asleep." John received a bunch of affirmatives and confirmations before the group shuffled off, except for Shaw who skipped along the way.

Well, might as well push out one last update.

It was the morning after Halloween, and most everyone woke up close to noon for those who were awake for the festivities last night. Except for John, who slept for a couple hours before waking up at 7 AM. Either way though the ship girls all went into the cafeteria to grab what would effectively be their lunch and breakfast.

Slowly they all came in, some trudged in like Shigure. Others just walked in not even seeming tired at all like Wisconsin. Still breakfast/lunch was had by them all. Though there were still some oddities, like this glowing horned thing that was reading the paper. Who then disappeared after passing the comics section to Enterprise.

The only other thing of note during this rather quiet breakfast was one of the crewmen bringing in a pearl necklace that was fished up. After some discourse the necklace was put somewhere safe till something concrete could be figured out.

After breakfast was done all of the ship girls who went out trick or treating to figure out the candy situation.

"Alright, if you all are going to go through the candy you received last night then just try not to fight too much. Wisconsin and WOsp will be watching over everything to make sure things are somewhere close to fair. I'm going to check and see if there are any missions we could take." John said before walking of to do other things.

What followed was almost like carnage as the bags and sacks were poured out on some tabletops followed by a frenzy of motion to go through all the gotten gains. Many punches were thrown alongside some scratching and hair pulling.

Though John wouldn't be finding out about that for a bit, he had other things to do. Like making sure certain things were done, for instance checking the missions board. Which was done at John's computer. Though there were no missions right this moment. Shrugging after the short meaningless walk, John went back to see how the sifting of candy went.

When he got back, there was a small area of chaos. Maury was covered in pixie sticks. O'Bannon and Shigure were surrounded by piles of various candies while stuck together with gum. Mahan was clinging to Shaw teary eyed with taffy in her hair, while Shaw was covered in M&Ms while happily snacking on some of the candy. Enterprise was clinging to Yamato while having a lollipop, while Yamato was just patting her trying to clam her down, eyes shifting side to side. Akatsuki though was sitting to the side with Kongou while having some chocolates, with a small neat pile in front of her. Meanwhile Wisconsin was stumbling around with Narwhal in her arms and WOsp in her arms, stumbling away from the PT boat corgis.

There were few words John could bring to bear here, but he did try.

"So, is there something I need to know here?"
