[X] – [Focus] The Knight Daimyo

[X] – [Problem] Knights attack

I want a knight for us! Let's get Ping her own one!

[X] – [Focus] The ship
[X] – [Recruit] Yes
-[X] Tell the crew to be specific in those they try to recruit; those that are unhappy with their lot, those that want adventure or opportunity, or those that simply want off the shrine.

And a joke option
[J] – [Problem] Overdue Child-support payments
"Something crashes through the sky one night, landing in the fields outside the temple. Upon closer inspection, it turns out to be a ship from the stars. From its depths come around 50 warriors all kneeling and calling you 'Father' and 'Primarch'… And Ping's yelling at you about child abandonment, reckless endangerment, and clear infidelity what with so many kids."

Legion Master Kang Dae Taech: "We currently number around 60,000, Father."
Ping: "Wha- when- I mean, HOW?!... what, did you never sleep?"

Taking "a girl in every port" to a WHOLE new level. Next time on Lost Primarchs Adventures, The Pirate-Queen dotes on her grandkids.

In all seriousness, 60,000 legionaries seems like a pretty good number for not having a Primarch around. Seems like they haven't really befallen some great travesty in Geneseed procurement.

[X] – [Focus] The ship
The monks are going to be doing a number on your ship for repairs. But while they have it in drydock, you begin to muse that perhaps they can do more than simply fix it. They could reinforce it, make it stronger so this never happens again. You fret a little over the wood and getting the Cutting Dagger ready to go…
[X] – [Recruit] Yes
The monks have some serious tech know-how. Yeah they're a little rough personality wise, but that can be sanded off with time. They'll obey once they learn to trust you, and like Ping says, they'd be useful.
[X] – [Problem] Drukhari raid
"It seems that the cabal from the island didn't enjoy their thrashing, and are back with bigger guns to repay the favor in kind. What they find are some very interesting prizes among the Kuji-nan and the guests of the temple…"

Is the write-in good?

I accept pretty much all write-ins, though it may take a while to put them into the main post.

[J] – [Problem] A Titan coated in solid platinum and sporting a giant cannon comes to attack.
Is this a Korra reference?

While I probably won't actually do it this way it's funny to imagine an entire legion terrified of an old mortal woman's ire.

The 11th hasn't had any major geneseed disasters like the Emperor's Children or Thousand Sons Legions, but it probably won't be a massive unstoppable horde like the Ultramarines or Dark Angels either.

I like to imagine our mother "retiring" only to sneak aboard one of our ships. Within days she's the new Captain.

"Mother this isn't going to fool anyone-"
"You have much to learn about the art of disguise, my boy, just because you can see through it doesn't mean these dim-witted Imperials can."
"Mom it's just a pair of glasses and a false mustache!"

"Brother-captain, are you sure this course of action is wise?"
"It is the only one left to us, if we are to succe-"
"What are you kids doing whispering in the dark like that?"
"NOTHING MA MA, nothing at all!!!"

Yeah something about naval specialization doesn't really scream "horrific disaster in recruitment" or "please for the love of god stop making so many legionaries". It could swing either way, high attrition rates from boarding actions or good Geneseed acceptances rates in voidborn populations.

This has been picking at me for a while and I don't think anyone's asked it yet, but where is this planet anyway?

Geography (even of the astral kind) isn't my strong suit but for the moment I'm thinking galactic east of Terra, in the big empty space between Prospero and Nikaea. Roughly.

Unless this map I'm looking at is hilariously inaccurate and I just dropped Tabgach in the middle of Maelstrom 2 Electric Boogaloo or something.

That's closer to Terra than I thought. No major warpstorms in the area, damn near on the border between Ultima and Solar. AND we're really super duper close to Ryza. (Plasma Broadsides any one?)

Talk about prime real-estate, I think our up and coming primarch got lucky in placement. Though that does leave the problem of Drukhari realspace raids... time to ponder solutions to these clearly rip off Scooby-Doo ass pirates.

[X] – [Problem] Ork Raid
Sun-Sin might be content to sail around indulging himself and his friends, but Primarchs are creatures of destiny for good or for ill, and the first scouts of an Ork Waaagh, possibly following the Dark Eldar, have made planetfall and someone of incredible intelligence, charisma and strength will be needed to unite the world to fend them off. Even if it means crushing everyone who care more about their petty squabbles than the alien threat. But first you'll need to deal with the ones at the fortress.

A Warboss rival AND an Archon rival, we'd be spoiled for choice!

Stuff like this is why I leave write-ins open.

Sometimes even if I don't use it where it's suggested, it'll come back.

I've said this before but I am very much looking forward to meeting Freebootahz.

Also I'm pretty sure I did the categories wrong again.

Ork freebootahs, Drukhari raiders, soon to be human pirates... at this point the only thing we're missing is Aeldari corsairs (because I don't think the mean pretty lady from earlier would like us lumping her in with them). Unless I'm forgetting some faction from the setting.

In any case more pirates is good pirates.
