Winning vote: [X] Rosie was kept in the Alletown Art Museum and is staying here for now, but needs something permanent.
White Rose ~Flower of Innocence~ (8)
Sarah: Mary, where should we start? With us rescuing Rosie, or...?
Mary: ...that's actually a good question. I don't normally have to explain myself to people who aren't already in the know.
Sarah and Mary, on opposite sides of the table and on my right and left sides, respectively, glance at each other and then at me. But I have nothing to add here and remain silent, except for the sounds of my continued eating. Rosie, opposite me, is doing much the same, and so is Olive next to her through she's giving wary glances at the twins. Speaking of, these two, with Anthe next to Mary and Chrys by her side must be growing only more confused with each statement. But I meant it when I said I wanted Chrys' help, and I hope he realizes that once the truth is revealed.
Sarah: ...you haven't even explained everything to me... Oh, let's start with what they've already figured out. Yes, we were the ones who broke into the Alletown Art Museum, Mary and I, but we had a good reason for it!
Chrys blinks.
Chrys: So then... those women in odd dresses... were you two?
Mary, Sarah, and Olive all shake their heads.
Mary: Not just us, no. We were being pursued by one woman and two girls. You even know who that woman is – she's none other than Louise Blauglas.
Chrys starts, while Anthe turns to her brother in confusion.
Anthe: ...the owner of that museum?
Mary: The one and only.
Chrys: Alright, hold on, hold on! You're asking a lot of me here. I mean, why would Ms. Blauglas even keep a kid in her museum, and how did you find out about her... assuming this is the truth, anyway...
Anthe: Brother, I don't think this is the kind of thing people lie about...
Chrys: Sister, I've heard lots of absolutely outrageous lies from people who should have known better than to say them to me.
Anthe: Weren't a good number of those people other cops?
Chrys: That's beside the point. Anyway, I need something tangible, evidence this isn't all made up and you're not misleading my friend here.
Sarah: Excuse you!? I would never do that to my uncle!
Mary: Well, if you want evidence... Sarah?
Sarah rolls her eyes at my friend, while Chrys stares them both down and Anthe remains as confused as ever. My niece comments on how Mary could do this too, but when Mary declines, she gets up and... oh, she's-!?
In a flash of purple light, her attire has changed from her casual purple tee and blue jean overalls to her majestic flowing purple dress, topped with veil and crown, adorned with purple passionflowers.
Naturally, the twins have been stunned into silence, staring wide-eyed at my niece.
Sarah: Mary and Olive can do this too, by the way. At least, I assume so.
She moves the veil from her face, and pulls a red rose mask from out of thin air.
Sarah: And this is why you didn't immediately recognize me. It masks appearances. Though, I don't know if it'll work on you two now...
Olive: Nah, it's still good. You got to take it off in front of someone for it to stop working on them. Mary found that out with my help.
Sarah: And just why were... oh, never mind. Anyway, Louise Blauglas, along with her assistants Akane and Rina, can also transform. I don't know what they fight for, but right now that doesn't matter. I fight to protect people! We're fighting to get Rosie to a safe place far from them. So...
Anthe cuts her off, leaping out of her seat.
Anthe: YOU'RE ALL MAGICAL GIRLS!? THAT'S SO COOL!
Sarah: Wha-!?
My niece nearly falls over as Anthe reaches over and clasps her hands. Rosie's got her ears covered while Olive's taken her side. Chrys has drifted off into his own world. Mary and I just stare at Anthe as she goes on.
Anthe: Of course, we'll help you! Right bro? Ah, even if he gets cold feet, I'll support you both no matter what! Oh, this is so awesome... hey, hey, Mary, what do you look like when you transform?
That breaks my friend out of her stupor.
Mary: I'm not transforming here.
Anthe: Awww, come on, pleeeeease~?
Mary: No.
I turn to Chrys, who has yet to speak, as Anthe starts to tease Mary over how cute her costume must be while Mary continues to stonewall her with an ever growing blush.
Me: Oi, Chrys, you there?
Chrys: Huh!?
He starts, nearly jumping out of this seat and on his ass.
Chrys: Oh, I uhhh... no, I was just thinking about something...
He shakes his head.
Chrys: This is... something, but it still doesn't address my points. I have no issue finding somewhere else Rosie to reside, but... you two have also just admitted to breaking, entering, and kidnapping in front of me. Furthermore, you still haven't explained how Ms. Blauglas found Rosie or what she wanted with her.
Sarah pales and stumbles, so Mary takes over.
Mary: Well, I can't answer that second one. But as for the first, my source claimed that Rosie was born inside the museum to a woman named Jasmine Janvier. Ring any bells?
Chrys shakes his head. Well, if she joined Viticulture on her own, then she wouldn't be considered a missing person, right? But then... where is this woman Jasmine Janvier now?
Anthe: Born in the museum...? Hey, hold on, does she have a birth certificate or anything like that?
Sarah jumps back in the conversation.
Sarah: I don't think so? Mary led me to a hidden basement, and it looks like there's a secret lab under the Alletown Art Museum. Didn't have a lot of time to look around, but every document left lying out had medical results of some kind on it. Reactions to medicine, growth charts, things like that.
...didn't realize the art director was also a medical expert.
Actually, I'd bet any amount of money that she's not.
Mary: The kid is in the law's blind spot. It's like she doesn't exist. Which means Louise can use her for any purpose she pleases. That said...
She then gestures towards a recovering Rosie.
Mary: ...just get her out of here, and let us deal with Louise and her little friends. That's more than enough help for us.
Chrys and Anthe speak up as one.
Anthe & Chrys: Of course! / I will, but...
And Anthe then turns on her brother.
Anthe: Hey, what do you mean by that 'but'!?
Chrys: Nothing serious, just that I'll have to report...
He blinks, confused.
Chrys: ...this!?
I'm confused at first as well, before realizing that he was reaching for his pockets.
Mary: Looking for this?
And it must have been for his phone, as it's now in her hands.
Chrys: You...!? When did... how... huh!?
Now a bit shaken herself, Anthe also asks how exactly Mary did that. But...
Mary: I'm afraid a magician never reveals her secrets~!
...my friend deflects as usual. Naturally, with Violet's scent in the air, it'll be her first inclination. Maybe one day it'll be to tell the truth, but today is not that day.
She then swears both Chrys and Anthe to secrecy in exchange for his phone back, which Chrys accepts only with great hesitation while Anthe remains more open to Mary's whims.
Chrys: Well... if I have to keep Rosie and all this a secret, it'll make things harder. I'll need time.
Mary: Trust me, we can give you plenty of time~! We already have temporary lodgings for Rosie, after all.
Ah, speaking of, I'd better call Mrs. Drake soon. Don't want to drop a surprise kid on her lap.
Sarah: Ah, you only need to keep magic and our involvement a secret. You can talk about Rosie if it'll help. I'm sure she doesn't mind, right Rosie?
The kid tilts her head for a moment and then nods in approval.
Chrys: ...I don't suppose you know if you have any family around town, do you?
She covers her mouth.
Chrys: ...can't say, huh? Curious. Well, it was worth a shot.
Sarah: If we had any hints, I'm sure we'd give them to you.
Chrys: Oh, I'm sure you would, but...
He glances at a smirking Mary before shaking his head.
Chrys: ...I'll have to work with this. Ought to be plenty of parents around town looking to adopt.
Rosie: Umm, Mister...?
Chrys: Yes, Rosie? Go ahead, speak.
Rosie: ...be careful. Poisonous flowers can grow anywhere.
Chrys: ...I'll... keep an eye out? Thanks...?
Smiling to herself, Rosie promptly goes back to her food.
Mary: Ah, she must be taking about one of the girls we ran into. We mentioned her earlier – Rina. She can spread poison, definitely with her breath, maybe also in other ways. Not sure what the other girl Akane can do, she ran off before demonstrating her ability. And Louise, true to her name, can manipulate her specially-treated blue glass. That said, if all goes well, you'll never run into them.
Chrys: I... hope so too... yeah...
I think his brain might be melting.
Anthe seems unaffected, though.
Anthe: Huh, so what can you all do then? And... wait, hold on, is Rosie also a Magical Girl? Is that why Viticulture wants her despite her being so young?
Mary: If Rosie has any magical abilities, she hasn't demonstrated them in front of us. But she may have potential, and potential can be increased and exploited.
She's got a lot of bite now... perhaps from prior experience.
Mary: As for what we can do... what did I say earlier, Anthe?
And now it's gone.
Anthe: Hmph! You revealed a bunch of secrets just now!
Mary: Ah, but they're the secrets of my enemy. So, it's no issue of mine who hears them as long as they're trustworthy. And we can trust you two, right?
Anthe gives off her absolute agreement while Chrys simply nods along. I'd feel bad for him, but... we really do need him to do this for us, and to keep quiet about it. ... which, of course, raises the question of what exactly I'm going to say to convince Mrs. Drake to help. I can't simply tell the truth, because she's not in the know. But without telling her something, will she help? Will she be able to help?
I zone out to think of my response as Mary steers the others to lighter topics and Sarah puts out the incense and returns to her casual attire.
[] I'll be as honest as I can. I know two kids (Rosie and Olive) who need someone to look after them for a night. Keep details light if pressed.
[] Maybe I should dance around the point, starting by asking how she's been and then if she can do me a favor and keep an eye on two kids.
[] Technically, the kids don't need to stay at her place, just in the Dwarfpeak neighborhood. So, I'll ask if she knows anyone who can help.
[] (write-in, potentially combining votes)
QM Note: While not a part of this vote, you should also think about if you want Ken to stick around the kids or camp out at his house. Vote will remain open over the weekend.

White Rose ~Flower of Innocence~ (9)
Now that we have the aid of Chrys and Anthe assured, we abandon the twin topics of magical girls and mysterious circumstances, despite Anthe's constant questioning and Chrys' annoyed entreaties. Sarah and I are deferring to Mary's wishes here, and she wants tight control over who knows the truth and what they know. And even then, the two of us are still lacking information. There's no way either of them is reaching the full truth – not now, not anytime soon. I still wonder if I will. Maybe another day.
As for Olive and Rosie, well, they've gone back to just enjoying the food and chatting amongst themselves, Olive only occasionally chiming in on the large discussion.
I've made enough food for multiple plates but eventually even that runs out.
Chrys: Alright, we ought to head out then. Come on, sis.
Anthe starts, having been ready to game with Mary.
Anthe: Huh!? Me too?
He nods.
Anthe: ...really?
Another nod.
Anthe: Come on, do you need me for this part, bro?
Chrys: Absolutely. You might notice something I don't. Besides, there's no way I'm letting you lay about here while I have to do work.
Anthe: Ughhh, killjoy. No wonder you became a cop. Alright, Mary, I'm out.
A surprised Mary then receives a firm hug.
Anthe: Hey, we need to go for tennis again once this is all over!
Mary: Ah, okay!?
Olive fails to hold in her laughter, prompting a scowl from Mary. Sarah, Rosie, and I meanwhile say goodbye to a cheerful Anthe and anxious Chrys as they depart, leaving me to cleanup and the others to...
to...
...
Me: Say, what are you all going to do with the rest of the day anyway?
Mary, unsurprisingly, wants to go to the tennis courts right now, despite Viticulture agents being out there somewhere looking for her (probably). Looks like she's taking this excuse to be around Anthe more challenge pretty seriously. Unfortunately, she's a wanted woman, so Sarah and Olive squash that idea, leaving Mary to sulk in front of the TV, joined by a concerned Rosie, and let the rest of us plan.
Sarah: Uncle, you're going to call Mrs. Drake now, right? While the kids are safe with her, Mary and I will strike on our own. If we can get anything out of those Viticulture girls or even get them to stop, I'll let you know.
Olive: I could help too, you know...
Sarah: Yes, Olive, you'll be quite helpful in keeping Rosie safe, just like you did last night. Thanks again for that. You did a wonderful job.
She gets a side-eye as a first response before Olive lightens up.
Olive: ...I know what you're doing. But you're right, I did do a great job. Totally lost that Akane girl!
Unfortunately, she knew to look over here anyway.
Olive: My birds will keep an eye out for any evil Magical Girls!
Me: Oh, so those were yours I saw last night?
And the ones I've also heard chirping through the night and morning.
Olive nods, a prideful smile on her face.
Olive: Yep! Been talking to birds for years now! Can get them to do most anything! ...well, as long as they can do it, considering their wings and all.
Me: Huh, that is cool.
Her smile gets even wider, and Sarah has to direct her away and absorb her stories ...but not before returning and giving me Mrs. Drake's number first. Meanwhile, I head back upstairs to my office to make my call. Alright, we're gonna keep this simple and stick to the facts. Rosie and Olive need to stay somewhere else; I thought of Mrs. Drake first and want her help.
One ring...
Two rings...
Charlotte Drake: Ughhh... who is this...?
She sounds... disoriented. Well, that's not good. Then again, I'm not sure what I expected given her circumstances. Hope she's not doing too badly over there...
Me: It's Kentarou Kennedy. Remember me from...
Charlotte: Ah... you.
I shiver. Uh oh.
A sigh shudders through the line.
Charlotte: Yeah, I remember. What do you want, Mr. Kennedy?
Me: Oh, Mr. Kennedy is my dad. You can just call me Ken. And I need your help, Mrs. Drake.
She yawns. I hear creaking and footsteps next.
Charlotte: I could have guessed. What is it, Ken?
Me: More kids are in trouble, and I need them to stay with you for the night.
She pauses.
Charlotte: Huh? What do you mean by that?
Me: It's hard to explain. Basically, two runaways showed up on my doorstep last night, but they can't stay here. Bad people are chasing them.
Charlottle: Runaways? Being chased? ...Ken, if that's true, you ought to call the cops, not me!
Me: I did. Well, sort of, a friend of mine is an ex-cop. But they can't stay here; the people looking for them know where I live. I can't let them be found.
Rosie: Mister Ken, may I talk to Mrs. Drake?
I nearly leap out of my skin.
Me: R-Rosie!? When did you-!?
Charlotte: Rosie? Who's that?
Right, I'm still on the call.
Me: One of the runaways. I thought she was still with Mary. She's the one who found them, you know?
Charlotte: Really? Then why can't they stay with her? Let me guess, whoever you're talking about knows her address too?
Me: It'd be odd if they didn't; we're neighbors. Look, Mrs. Drake, I just need your help for the night.
Rosie's tugging at my pants leg, asking for the phone. But I can handle this just fine!
Charlotte: Look, Ken, you're not making sense.
Me: I know! But it's- Rosie?
Rosie: May I?
I take the phone away from my ears for a moment.
Me: Hold on, I-!?
And that's all the Rosie needs.
Rosie: Mrs. Drake, the same people after me are the ones who killed your daughter!
I hear something shatter over the line, accompanied by sudden barking.
Me: Oh... uh... well, that's true, she is, I...
Charlotte: She can stay.
Huh?
Charlotte: She and that other girl. I want answers. See you three tonight. I'll make dinner.
She hangs up.
Me: Oh... okay then.
I turn to Rosie, looking confused at my confusion.
Me: ...how did you know that? I guess Mary must have told you?
She shakes her head.
Me: No, then... oh, it's your magic?
She nods, smiling, warming up the room. But it makes me shiver instead.
Me: Yeah, we definitely need to keep you away from Viticulture. Kids like you ought to be able to live in peace. And you'll have it soon enough as long as we get our way. Now then, follow me?
I lead her back downstairs, walking into the middle of an argument between Mary and Sarah. Unsurprisingly, they're still deciding what to do while the kids are taking shelter tonight. Mary wants to stay here and ambush Viticulture, assuming they'll come over to look for Rosie. Meanwhile, Sarah wants to return to the scene of the crime and investigate the lab some more. Olive, not involved in either case, has stayed neutral, so they make me play tie-breaker.
[][Night Plans] Mary's idea is sound. (Mary and Sarah stay at her place tonight, encountering 2 Viticulture MGs)
[][Night Plans] Sarah's idea is sound. (Sarah and Mary return to the art museum, encountering 1 Viticulture MG)
[][Night Plans] I have another idea – they should also hide in another part of the city. (No encounter)
Me: By the way, we're set for tonight. But you only got Rosie and Olive clothes, right?
Sarah: Yes... oh, they need toothbrushes! And regular brushes! Hold on, let me...
Me: I'll go with you. Mary, you're in charge.
Mary: I am!? Uh, I mean, you can count on me!
Me: I sure hope so!
And with shoes on, Sarah and I head out the door and to the nearest bus stop.

[][PoV] Yes, move to Mary and Sarah. (requires an encounter)

White Rose ~Flower of Innocence~ (10)
Turns out we didn't just need the essentials. While Sarah and I were out, we also got disguises for Olive and Rosie. Nothing too complicated, just wide-brimmed straw hats to hide the colored streaks in their heir. Though Olive rejected hers in favor of simply tying her hair up in two buns, carefully camouflaging her magical coloration. Rosie, on the other hand...
Rosie: Wow! Thanks!
...took the hat with a wide smile on her face and put it on immediately, spinning and prancing around my home.
I might miss her when she leaves for good.
But no matter. She can't stay, not under these conditions. And so, when the sun starts setting in the late afternoon, we all depart and I lock up for the night. Be back soon.
Sarah: I'll call you if we find out anything interesting.
Mary: Hmph!
She's sulking, and rolls her eyes.
Mary: I'm telling you, the place will be locked up tight. No way we're getting in.
But my niece simply shakes her head and declares that between the two of them, they'll figure out something. After all, they broke in the first time, mostly thanks to Mary's hard work and talents. My friend lightens up a bit, accepting the flattery, and announces that she'll have someone keep an eye on us while they're away.
Me: Red again?
Mary: Naturally. She's already tailing Rosalyn. That kid's doing fine by the way; hasn't been in trouble since that day.
Me: Good.
Olive asks who we're talking about, and I fill her and Rosie in on the essential details of the last incident after we split away from Sarah and Mary, heading north. Normally, I'd leave out some of the grimmer details, but as Rosie seems to already know them... I instead frame things as if magic wasn't involved while we're in public and then fill it back in with the fantastical while we're walking down the street to Charlotte's house. Unsurprisingly, someone's already outside waiting for us.
Me: ...what's gotten into him?
Goldie, the Drake family dog, is incessantly barking at the air, tail wagging. Doesn't seem mad at all; just excited. He occasionally glances over at Olive for some reason while doing so.
Olive blinks.
Olive: Ah, right, my birds. I'll tell them to stay clear...
A small feathered whistle is suddenly in her hands and she plays out a small cry.
Rosie: ...Mister Ken, what is that?
She's pointing right at an uncaring Goldie... does she not know what a dog is? I can explain the best I can, but... the best teacher is a hands-on experience here. So, I usher her forward, declaring that Goldie's a dog, a friend, a companion, a pet, and that he's part of the Drake family too. Rosie, hesitantly, walks over to Goldie, who suddenly stops barking at the air and focuses on her, tail rigid, head tilted.
Rosie: Ah!?
And at this point, none other than Charlotte Drake steps out, accompanied by the faint and floral scent of lilies... and notably not of cigarettes.
Charlotte: Ah, don't mind him. He's been acting out of it for a while, so I had to kick him out. Goldie, come here!
He does so with a series of curt barks, not relaxing until Mrs. Drake leans down to rub his head.
Rosie: Can... can I try?
Charlotte: Sure kid. And get in here already, all of you! Thought you wanted privacy. I sure do...
She then heads inside, and all we can do is follow into her living room. The floral scent is overpowering and must have been freshly applied; it's even stronger than the aroma of hot ham coming from the kitchen. There's a TV blaring in the background; don't recognize the show. Might be a soap opera?
Mrs. Drake looks down at the kids.
Charlotte: Your room's in the back. Lucky for you I have a spare.
I pale.
Me: It's not...?
Charlotte: She wouldn't have minded. Now then, I'm Charlotte Drake. You can call me Mrs. Drake. You two are...?
Rosie (petting a now relaxed Goldie) and Olive (a few steps away from said dog) introduce themselves accordingly.
Charlotte: So, you're the runaways, huh?
Olive: Ah, well, Rosie's the real runaway. I'm here to keep her company and protect her.
Charlotte: Huh...? Why are you here and not with your parents then?
Olive rolls her eyes.
Olive: They wouldn't help.
Charlotte: ...do they even know you're here?
She sighs.
Charlotte: Actually, don't answer that. Oh, what have I gotten myself into...
She then has me wait while showing the kids around her house. And while I wait, I better figure out what exactly I want to tell Mrs. Drake. I have to tell her the truth, naturally, but I don't know all of the truth... and even then, some truths aren't mine to tell. But I do owe her an actual explanation for the odd experience I've involved her in. [] Only cover the essentials: a girl associated with Viticulture, a group of rogue Magical Girls, killed Lulu while one of their leaders kidnapped (?) Rosie and trapped her in the Alletown Art Museum, from which some trusted associates were able to break her out
[] Cover the essentials, and add in further details (select as you like below)
-[] Lulu came back as a ghost briefly and I had to help her pass on
--[] Also, she turned into a dragon for some reason, no I don't know why
--[] Rosalyn was there, she can verify all this (warning: this also drags in Rosalyn and her mom)
-[] My childhood friend and my niece are also Magical Girls fighting Viticulture, and they rescued Rosie
--[] Also, I think my mom was a Magical Girl, but I don't actually know that since she died when I was in high school (no idea what Dad was doing)
--[] One of my friend's associates should be watching the house, actually...
---[] Oh, that same friend was the one who brought Lulu back as a ghost, though I don't think she can do it again
-[] Oh, by the way, Rosie and Olive are also magic (leaves it up to them to demonstrate, however)
-[] (perhaps a write-in...?)
QM Note: This was going to be longer, but I figured you might want a say in what exactly Ken says here. So, enjoy this dialogue tree!

We want to give her something, if maybe not all, so tell her something about her daughter's encounter with the magical world and our involvement with it. And the reason we got involved was because we were already in the middle of things courtesy of being born into magical girl family.
I'm pretty sure Charlotte already knows the truth of her daughter's situation thanks to Rosalyn. Though, it's probably somewhat omitted.

I don't think Rosalyn told her more than a mundane story, with magic bits mostly omitted. Otherwise there wouldn't be an option to drag Rosalyn back into it.

Yeah, seems like a pretty good vote from Petroleum.
