Not a big deal but I noticed on your timeline you had Kiguri's father, the previous Emperor, as 'Emperor Kazuki" and I had him as "Emperor Daigoro" in my write up.

Because Lone Wolf & Cub/Shogun Executioner reference.

Also, excuse me for vastly simplifying the backstory of the Kamakura shogunate, but well the Kamakura shogunate itself is the backstory to the backstory of the backstory of the actual game, so shorthand is really needed.
 
OP is coming along, but due to university application deadlines (and the world cup) I may not have the game up by the promised 15th. Probably still will, just a fair advance warning.

Yeah, when traitors and conspirators set the palace on fire and took Kiguri's dad.

It was absolutely traitors and conspirators and had nothing to do with Emperor Daigoro's conviction that every problem could be solved by setting someone on fire.

Fair enough. Also I see Kiguri needs a pre-ascension to Tenno name (when I wrote the claim up I didn't realize being Emperor works a bit like being Pope) Crown Prince Minoru sound decent?
 
Sorry to disappoint, but I wont finish the OP in the next three days. Still making progress, but getting all the family connections and "backstories" (<- memes and lazy references) right, is quite a slog.

Got all family trees done, map is done, all faction short summaries are done, now only to write them out, which does take far less time then thought.

First off, I see the Sakura clans are cultured people. What with one being called Sakura Sakura. Very civilized indeed. Secondly, So does Shikamaru Nara and Temari Nara have some weird Jaime-Cercei thing going on? Cause if not, I am okay with that. Thirdly, Minamoto Masahiro better be good, or mourning dad will give phone calls on his baby girl. Also joking real reason for Oda siege of Yagami castle is overprotective dad. And finally, I love the little write up for the Oda. But ya, Naruto is in mourning right now. So their is the reason on why Nobunaga is the one doing everything right now.

But these whispers of a Kami from the lands beyond do intrigue us greatly. Naruto himself did say "The Mongols were a plague on this land. The only good thing they ever brought was the knowledge of lands far beyond our own."

Nobunaga cares little for faith. Naruto might care due to the whole 'my love is dead' thing and the only other son,

too busy making sure his brother doesn't do something stupid and burn everything to the ground.

I am also sad we both don't border the Uchiha clan. After all, genocide of backstabbing snakes is a great way to make friends I hear.

Considering Monkey is basically being lead by Goku I am not surprised.

Due note I will only hear TFS Goku when this Son Wukong speaks.

As for the spirals, going to guess their anime reference is Gurren Lagann (my anime knowledge is rusty).

Also I saw the keikaku reference there. I am now scared at facing them.
