Of all the Houses who heard the distress call, its the Kings who arrive first.
You almost wish they hadn't. Its clear from the very moment the Light Cruiser and its two destroyer escort arrives that this isn't some force sent to aid you. No, this is the fleet the Kings dispatched to retrieve you.
Still, in various parts of the ship the Cabal have begun raiding the armories and dragging out breaching charges. If something isn't done they'll have the entire ship back under their command, bridge or no bridge. So you resign yourself to the Kings presence, your only solace being that they have only brought a thousand Eliksni to this fight. A drop in the bucket compared to the Cabal.
The Noble in charge of the yellow fleet however is quite cunning. With his ships he could easily secure a beachhead in the hangar, from which every other house that arrives could use to begin taking the entire ship. But he doesn't. There is no point after all, if the Cabal regain control over the bridge. Then the situation would only reverse, trapping the Fallen behind blast doors and awaiting slaughter with no explosives of their own to free them.
Instead he asks you to jettison the escape pod nearest the bridge, and begins to lead troops in through the newly made entrance.
They arrive just in time to fight off the wave of Cabal sent to finally oust you from your new throne. You don't dare let them in though.
The next to arrive is a collection of Lesser Houses. Each is small compared to the greater houses, at best a handful of smaller ships. But together they make quite the formidable sight. They are the ones to brave the hangar entrance and the guns of a Imperial Land tank the Cabal have activated to serve as a second command center.
It does not go well for either side. But in the end the Land tank is dealt with and the Fallen have their landing zone for this fight.
It is Winter who arrives next, with another fleet of Lessers on their coattails. The sight of the Carrier and the thought of having it for themselves seems to send them into a frenzy, and they take to fighting the Cabal in the hallways and corridors of the ship with a fanatical zeal.
But the Cabal are ready for them. They did not sit idly by while they lost the hangar, Interceptor tanks were moved throughout the ship when it became apparent they could not hold it. Many hallways have been blasted open, and routes to the armories now have runners streaming through them to supply their brothers in the fight. The Cabal once again seem ready to take back their ship, step by step.
Which is when the Wolf fleet finally shows up. Accompanied by two Devil ships, though where they are in the great fleet you cant say.
Finally faced with certain defeat, the Imperial Legions turn their attention to a new target. The engines.
With the right amount of explosive persuasion they could set off a chain reaction to destroy the entire ship. But the Wolves, likely having prior experience in boarding actions, simply follow the Kings example. Every escape pod between the Cabal and the Engine rooms is jettisoned, with wolves flowing in through the holes to delay them. All while Winter and the Lesser houses continue to try and smash their way through the defenses that had stymied them previously.
After several more hours of fighting the Cabal finally lay dead. The ship now belongs to the Fallen.
You call the leaders of each House to the bridge. It is time to discuss how the loot will be divided.
