A book black like the abyss with a chalice of pure gold on the cover, and an aura of dark energy unknown to those of the magocracy. This anomaly would hopefully prove to be useful to not only Alexander and the magocracy but also to the pantheon that they are devoted to.
Alexander continued to sit in his chambers meditating. Considering all of the different choices and possible outcomes that would come from each option. He could leave the book and let random chance take over, destroy the "unnatural" book, investigate and research it, or he could move it somewhere else and forget about it entirely. Many different actions could be taken all of which had an unlimited amount of results.
Alexander cleared his mind and felt the magic flowing through not only himself but also the magocracy and the volcanic region they call home. The Avatar felt many things from the calm nature of water to the stubborn slowness of earth, to the raging ambition that is fire, to the divine energy that flows through himself, but he also sensed something else. Something….foreign...something...indescribable. It comes from the eastern colony just like Mercanoe reported. It must be the book.
The Divine Herald stands up stretching his limbs and making sure that he is prepared for anything that the gods throw at him.
Alexander dons his enchanted robe and his trusty staff of raw magic. He casts a simple spell of flight and floats to the eastern colony.
The eastern colony was the second city built in the volcanic region after the city: Prometheus was created. It was mostly populated by human wizards that had a strong affinity to fire and all that it encompasses. It was the weakest in defensive spells and the least tamed but it was the strongest in offensive magic and the extremely volatile spells made everyone there a force to be reckoned with.
Alexander arrived there in no time, using a simple spell of teleportation to transport himself to the totem of fire that resided in the middle of the colony.
When Alexander arrived at the eastern colony he noticed that it was still its same old self. The people were wandering around wearing their traditional wizard robes with books of all shapes and sizes. When they noticed the Avatar of the divine pantheon was standing near the totem of fire that was in the middle of the colony, they lost their minds. The younglings in the magocracy gathered around the Divines chosen scholar and begun asking many questions about not only magic but their future and the divine. However, the elders and adults in the colony are reluctant to approach the Avatar, they know through experience that the Avatar only travels in crucial moments where one choice can be the difference between life and death.
After entertaining the kids for a bit, Alexander continued on his quest and went toward this mysterious book.
When Alexander arrived at his destination it appeared just as Mercanoe said it was. The ground was some foreign blackstone and the statue of Sergeant Tyler stood in the center with the mysterious book in his hands.
When the Avatar was just moments away from the statue of Sergeant Tyler a bolt of something hard and soft, furious and calm collided directly Alexander's head. His vision went pure white strip of all color, his skin felt like stone, and the divine powers flowing through not only his blood but his souls felt like the were on fire.
However, this strange feeling wasn't similar to the energy produced by the book, but it was comforting like a mother's embrace.
After what felt like an eternity a mysterious feminine figure with pale skin, hair like the sea of fools, and eyes with a flaming golden glow appeared in front of Alexander.
It spoke to the Avatar with a gentle voice understanding voice, but it seems to have only the slightest bit of annoyance in it, " *sigh* Why do I suspect that I am going to be spending a lot of time teaching you how to fix magical screwups? I would suggest not touching ominous magical artifacts without making preparations in the future. Still, I'm sure you will grow better able to understand how to handle artifacts given time and experience."
When the woman finished speaking, the Herald felled to the ground on his knees. His nose was bleeding and his body was exhausted but still, he smiled. "So, that's what it feels like to speak to a Goddess." The Archmage continued to smile and even started to laugh for this meant that the Mother Goddess Citino hasn't abandoned him yet and if she hasn't then the rest of the pantheon hasn't either.
After the Avatar regained his strength he stood up and continued to walk to the statue and the book. As he approaches the statue he notices something going on with his hand. His hand felt has if it was becoming solid rock, his connection to the earth element seemed to have increased and finally, the avatar knew not only how to move and create earth but how to destroy it as well.
With a single wave of his hand the statue returned to life and Sergeant Tyler slumped to the ground unconscious.
Alexander bent down and picked up both the book and the newly freed Sergeant Tyler and teleported back to the Temple of the Sacred Fire.
He dropped Tyler off in the chaplain so he could receive medical aid then went to his personal chambers to study this anomaly.

Mysterious Book Part 2
Alexander sat in his chambers staring at the book with a bleeding left eye. He started reading this book hours ago but everything he has learned is..wrong for better lack of words. The Avatar could feel with every passing second near the opened book his body, mind, and soul being drained out of him.
From this book, the avatar learned of a foreign place that should not exist but does. The best way to describe it is has a forced fusion between Creation and the Void themselves.
The Book says, "The Uncreated Night. A Place of Damnation and Devastation. A Place where none should venture less they seek eternal agony and anguish. Uncreated Night a place that rests between everything and nothing, a place where the nightmares in our skulls come to fruition with the gift of creation. A place that the gods have abandoned, a place where our laws are useless and non-existent. The Uncreated Night, a place that should not exist."
Alexander has been to many places in his life but not once has he ever heard of a place that resides between the void and the well of creation. He continues to read the book gaining more knowledge on this Uncreated Night but also becoming weaker. He finally stops when he comes to an incantation that tells how to open a road that moves through the accused place.
What should Alexander do?
