The Gods of Titanus

We are shaped by magic just as we shape it
Alright will this work

[x] Mortals through my will, I grant you a greater aptitude and attunement over the mystical arts. I do this so those that are connected to mystical world will no longer fear their power.

[x] grant mortals a greater aptitude and attunement to magic (4 sparks)

[x] 2 divine sparks: teach the avatar status removing spells

[x] 2 divine sparks: grant the magocracy resistance to heat and fire

[x] 2 divine sparks: create a well of power that absorbs volcanic heat and turns it into magical energy

History: Divinity vs Demons
The War between the Divinity's of Heaven and Eldritch Legions of Hell has been going on since the beginning of time and space came into being and with them reailty as it is known. Most think it is a battle of capital Good Vs Evil in truth the morality is more one of Order Vs Chaos. The Divine were born of the Well of Creation and witnessed the forming and shaping of the universe. They saw the physical laws being enacted and knew it as good. Matter and energy was fourmulated and they rejoiced. As solids worlds and liquid oceans were crafted they celebrated. They bathed in the light of the lesser stars born from the Well of Creation and knew purpose. Time and Space wound around them spinning into structures and forms of reality and stability. The Gods looked upon all that is or would be and found that it was right and as it should and shall be. They beheld the horror and the wonder that would be woven into this world and were enraptured by the plays spectacle. They heard the sweet song of Creation being sung and listened with open hearts. The Gods ruled the world as they were meant to and upheld the balance to preserve it.

The Demons were spawned from the Darkness of the Void and so were not bound by the Light of Creation. Reality for them warped and twisted about as shadows are wont to do. They saw the world and were disgusted at what had been wrought. They chafed under the boundaries of laws and the strictures of sane rules. In the Void all was unchecked and unbalanced. Primordial chaos reigned supreme and all were equal for all were boundless and unfretted as they encompassed the infinity that was the Void. They looked upon the world and saw that it was unfair and unjust. They saw how form and shape and being was limited by the Light of Creation. In the Void you could carve a chunk of your own oblivion to claim as your own and share with others. In the Void there was no need of right and wrong. In the Darkness of the Void you were not restricted and held back by society or civilization. To
the Eldritch forces of hell the powers of destruction should be unleashed to rage and surge breaking and shattering reality. They seek to annihilate souls to liberate them, to sunder the world so that Darkness may once again dominate. As such they seek to bring about armageddon, ragnarok, the apocalypse to free the universe from the blight of Creation.

Now as to which side is right that is a difficult question with no true answer. The Gods wish to preserve the world true and some are righteous and seek to make it better but there are Gods who are of the purest evil for each God has his own belief and faith. The Demons of Hell wish to in a way enlighten and ascend or descend everyone back to the Origin so that all may prosper. They are also absolutely mad and insane. There are some Demons who are earnest about their cause and to try in their own way to help the world and then there are those who use it only as an excuse to make it suffer. Demons are focused on the Individual while the Divine is focused on the Group. Each desiring to empower them in their own ways. Of course there are Demons who think as the Gods do and Gods that think as the Demons do. As well as the propaganda each side hurls at the other having grains of truth. As well as times when they unite to fight against a greater threat.

not to counteract your Omake @bioticgrunt the idea is that they both spray bullshit at the other so they both are are partaly right but not quite. For exampel there are the Old Ones, Devils and Demons but they are not exactily as the Divine say and the Eldrich lies about the Divine as well.

History: Temple of the Sacred Fire
The Temple of Scared Fire.

It was one of the first buildings created by the Promethean Magocracy so that they can worship their gods properly. It is in the Temple that the Avatar communes with the gods and the gods in turn commune through him, so that the Magocracy may hear their holy words. The temple was twenty feet tall, the stones lining its walls made of pure obsidian, and glassless windows surround the building which allows air to flow smoothly. The first room upon entering the temple is the chapel where services are held, the smell of incense permeants the air, and a gentle fire burns in the center of the room. Next to the chapel's right is the library, in which the Avatar and many other sorcerers have written all their knowledge on the mystical arts in a single room with each book properly categorized by information and author. Last, left of the chapel is the personal home of the Avatar, his sanctum, in which rests and recuperates from doing the gods work on the world. The home of the Avatar reflects his humble nature, for his home is not lavished or decorated in pointless treasures like other men in positions of power.

In his home, there is nothing but a simple bed for which the Avatar sleeps and a tiny shrine which he makes his prays to the gods. Avatar found that this was enough for him, for what used would simple luxuries be compared to favor from the gods.

Faction: The Malum Turba
No one knows where they came from and what they want but all everyone knows is that they are malicious, monstrous, numerous, and relentless. Everywhere the go death and destruction follows them as they lay waste to numerous civilizations over the years. Their evil could rival that, if not surpass, of demons as those who suffer under their touch pray for death. No one knows their true name but all have learned to call them by one name.

The Malum Turba, the Evil Horde.

If one were to see these creatures they would mistake them for demons of some kind and that description would be quite accurate but unfortunately these creatures were part of the natural world. The have the Hideous and Monstrous forms of demons while coming in a variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. The only common features shared among the Malum are Crimson crystal-like bone that protrudes from their bodies (mostly their head and claws), black/red like ichor that acts as their blood, and dark magics. The Malum have a harder physiology that allows them to survive most injuries, healing wounds in a short amount of time, and regenerate limbs in a matter of days. The Malum Turba reproduces through either tainting a "lesser" species or through a special Malums known as the dark mothers which are Malums capable of spawn 50 Liolham at a time.

From what spies have been able to gather and scholars have been able to decipher, the Malum Turba follow are hierarchal caste system based on power and fear. There are four caste that make up the structure of Malum Turba; the Liolham, the Dianuhr, the Dreedach, and Qianach. The Liolham are the lowest class of the Malum consisting of weaker Malum creatures and captured slave while also being the most numerous of the Horde. The main purpose of the Liolham is to be both the labor force, building must of the horde's infrastructure, and the cannon fodder for the horde's armies. Next, is the Dianuhr caste which is the main warrior caste of the horde and its second most numerous of the Malum. Those born/reach the Dianuhr are strong warriors with some being able to use dark magic and are the backbone of the Horde's armies as majority of the cast does the fighting. Then, there is the Dreedach which are Dianuhr who have reason above their peers to become leaders of the horde and are the elite among the rest of the Malum. The Dreedach are the smallest cast among the Malum do to numerous reasons; very few Dianuhr are able to reach this level but make up for it by being smarter, faster, stronger, and magically inclined than the average Malum. Finally, the Qianarch caste is the ruling caste of the entire Malum Turba and is the smallest of the Malum Turba as only one Malum can be Qianarch. The only way to become Qianarch is for a Dreedach to rise above his peers by any means necessary and once a Dreedach becomes Qianarch, they become the closest thing to a god for the Malum.

The architecture of the Malum Turba is gothic in appearance and is made of stone and steel. Malum use the skulls of their enemies as trophies, ritual material, and decorations for places of importance or armor. Lesser Malum worship their Qainarchs as God-like beings while the Dreedach are seen as priest or apostles which in itself is hypocritical as the Malum Turba view the gods and demons as lesser creatures.

When a Qainarch has finally ascended to power in the Malum Turba they initiate what the entire world calls as the Black Crusade in which the Malum Turba launchs a full-scale invasion against the world. Fortunately, Black Crusades a far and few in between because when the Qianarch (and hopefully several Dreedach) are killed during the Crusade the whole Malum Turba falls into infighting as the Malum society depends on gaining power. So far, there has only been four Black Crusades throughout history and civilizations have signed a treaty in which all conflict between them will cease when a Black Crusade begins.

History: The Great Illusion
Many thought that those among the Magocracy where focused on fire and earth, and while true for some their were many who's domain in lied in others.
Among the lesser know focuses of the Magocracy where frost and life, born from the lands rich volcanic soil and the frozen peaks of those mountains in the range that did not share the fiery core of their proffered homes.
It was these domains that truely allowed the Magocracy to grow hidden from the wrath of the Liang Dynasty who would have destroyed them with out a thought by blizzards and temperatures thought unsurvible put in place with the help of the volcano's arcane core by the Avatar to keep the land safe, this how ever had the cost of freezing the soil to the point that such deceptions would have been true if not for the Magocracies expertise in the magic of life.

Sorry for shortness and any bad spelling I am currently using a tablet.

History: The First Laws
The government of the Promethean Magocracy is a pure democracy with no rules or laws. Everyone was free to do what they wanted if the majority agreed with it and/or it help achieve the goal of obtaining infinite knowledge and magical might. The only one with absolute power over the entire Magocracy is the Avatar who rules wisely over his people, he has unchallenged authority and right to rule do to his connection to the gods. However, the Avatar has come to believe that a land without laws or rules would lead to chaos and corruption, sooner or later. While the order of the Magocracy is manageable for now, sooner or later someone will start tampering with forces they shouldn't have or us freedom as an excuse to do what they please.

With that thought in mind, the Avatar called forth one of the most important meetings of the Magocracy's history; the voting of the first laws. The voting was done only be the adults and elders of people as children were too young to make such decisions in the government. The voting took several weeks as many laws were denied, or compromised but in the end the first laws were passed into the Magocracy.
The laws were:
  1. The law of Equality: all citizens of the Promethean Magocracy whether they be man, woman, child, young, old, magic, or magicless are equal in every shape and form. No one person has greater advantage or disadvantage to those around.
  2. The Law of Freedom: Every Promethean citizen has the right to their freedom and as such slavery of any kind is prohibited within the territory of the Magocracy both now and in the far future. Members of the Promethean has the right to leave the Promethean if they wish but must notify the Avatar within two days before doing so. Every Member of the Promethean Magocracy have the right to form a peaceful assembly with each other to discuss topics of their choice. Every member of the Promethean has the freedom to express any opinion without censorship or restraint.
  3. The Law of Defense: by this law a militia, of 300 men and women, have now been formed in the defense of the Promethean people. The Militia's duty is to defend the people of the Promethean Magocracy from threats be they external or internal as such right of the people to learn combat shall not be infringed upon.
  4. The Law of Security: The right of the people to feel secure in their persons, homes, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be searched.
  5. The law of Knowledge: Magic is the right of all sentient beings and thus the study of its potential and limits is not forbidden. All members of the Magocracy, no matter what age, race or, gender, has the right to study the secrets of magic and of the physical world as need be.
  6. The Law of Vote: the voting of important matters is restrained to those of 20 years or older in age. Voting shall take place the first of every month at the Temple of Scared Fire and all eligible citizens that can only vote once on each issue that is being debated about.
  7. The Law of Trial: every citizen within the Magocracy has the right to a trial when accused of a crime. In a trial the accused must be able to defend and prove his innocence to a jury of his/her peers while an opponent will argue the reason of their guilt. Both sides have a time limit of five days to gather evidence to defend their case. Evidence must be proven credible by the judge and the Avatar
  8. The Law of Restraint: to limit the laws of Freedom and Knowledge the law of Restraint is created and establish. While one has the Freedom to make his/her own choices, they must realize that such freedoms comes with consequences and thus the following is prohibited; murder, rape, adultery, abduction, assault, theft, slavery, and other crimes of such nature. While the Law of Knowledge allows the study of magic, the study of the arcane must be regulated as to prevent unnecessary dangers. The restrictions on the study of magic are as follow; sacrificing of sentient life is forbidden, the summoning of demons and/or gods is limited to those deemed only non-hostile or benevolent, the tampering of souls is forbidden, and the twisting of the natural world is forbidden.
These are the first laws of the Promethean Magoccracy and changes or additions to them can be made in the foreseeable future

History: The Five Terrestrial Circles
Everyone mage begins their study of magic by first learning the five basic disciplines of magic; fire, water, earth, air, and life. These are the first five types of magic to be learned and taught by the Avatar thus all mages require to study these schools. While all promethean mages can learn all five schools of magic, very few are able to master all five at once with only a few being able to master two or three. Each school has their own pros and cons that add to the greater whole.

Fire: by studying this school one can control the element of fire with their will. A mage starts learning this school by practicing moving an existing flame with their magic and willpower. This is to teach the mage self-control do to the fact fire magic responds greatly to burst passion thus fire mage is both a danger to themselves and others. Upon completing that task, they are then taught how to conjure fire from their magic power alone. While a novice can simply warm something or cast a limited number of fireballs, a master of this school conjures fireballs larger than a man or create great walls of flame.

Water: by studying this school one can control water in all its forms with their will. One learns what magic by first bending preexisting to their will, if they accomplish that they are taught to create water with magic. What water magic has the unique ability to heal wounds like Life magic but the former has limits compared to the latter. A full master of Water magic is capable of many things such as pulling water out of the air or plants and changing the shape of water quickly. Water magic is considered the most versatile form of magic do to both is offense and defense capabilities.

Wind: by studying the school of wind one could control the air around them. The studying of wind magic seems to the easiest of all schools to mages with many attributing it to the societies practice of meditation and self-reflection. Wind magic is evasive and defense in its nature as those who use gain an increase in agility thus more pacifistic mages spend find enjoyment learning it. Wind magic is very tame in the beginning but when a mage masters wind magic they can make it more lethal with only the most powerful being able to control the weather and even flight.

Earth: earth magic is the school dedicated to the manipulation of the earth beneath one's feet. Out of all the five elemental schools of magic earth is the one that requires the most willpower to wield. When a mage gains full mastery of earth magic they become capable of manipulating all forms of earth into what they desire. Earth magic is better used in a defense style of combat than other forms of magic.

Life: The last school of the first five disciplines is the school of life which grants the control of life to all mages. Life magic is a contradictory magic to learn as it is both the greatest and yet most dangerous of the five disciplines. A mage who studies life magic can turn magical energy into life energy which allows them to revitalize any person, animal, or animal. However, the same kind of magic allows them to drain the life energy out of anything that is considered alive though this only capable for high mages. Life magic allows a mage to heal wounds both faster and better than when using water magic to heal with high level mages being able to reattach limbs if done in time.

The learning of the first five disciples of magic are what makes livable in the Promethean Magocracy as they are what allows are people to survive.

History: The Division of Labor
Division of labor

When the promethean people settled in their volcanic home, the Avatar created a system of labor that properly split the duties needed for survival.

Fire wardens: as their names imply the fire wardens' duties are to keep the flames and heat of mount Prometheus from reaching the Magocracy's home. Fire wardens were the first job to be ever created to when the Magocracy made their home on Prometheus, they are held with great respect in their society. Fire wardens do their work by using fire and earth magic to would stray fires or move magma in a different direction. The current number of the Wardens is a 500 men and woman trained in earth and fire magic. The current leader of the Fire Wardens is Auzhan Munshi, a man in his late thirties with black hair, brown eyes, and a burn scar on the left side of his face. He is a passionate man who is considered a father to his men.

Storm Guard: like the Fire wardens, the Storm Guard protect the Magocracy by shielding it form the fierce blizzards of Prometheus that keep the mountain home hidden from the Liang Dynasty. While the storms aren't always dangerous, often bellowing miles from the promethean homes, sometimes powerful storms form and its only thanks to the Avatar along with the Storm Guard, that Promethean homes still stand. The Guard's numbers consist of 500 men and woman trained in the ways of wind. The leader of the Storm Guard is Baha aga, a short woman in her fifties with greying hair, black eyes, and a constant stern expression. She is considered a strict but fair leader by the rest of the guard.

Farmers: the main food providers for the Promethean are farmers who use earth and life magic to grow the amount of food needed to provide the entire Magoracy. Farmers use earth magic to fertilize and soften the soil with seeds of plants gathered from the migration to mount Prometheus. Then, farmers use life magic to provide life to the soil which in-turn allows it to grow plants. Farmers also use minor heating and watering spells in their work.

Healers: those who dedicate themselves to life and water find themselves as healers among the Magocracy. They are the ones citizens turn to when the sick and injured need healing while also aiding mothers in childbirth with their magic and medical skill.

Scholars: From record keeping to magical discoveries, scholars are the history keepers and deciphers of the world and magic. Everyday scholars study magic to create new spells or improve upon existing ones while simultaneously studying the world to improve their knowledge. After all, how can one use magic to affect the world if they don't understand it first.

Builders: a builder is a Promethean who builds for the Magocracy using earth magic. They are the ones that built many of the homes and important buildings of Magocracy after helping the Avatar build the Temple of Scared fire.

Militiamen: a militiamen's job is that of a hunter, peacekeepers, and warrior for the Magocracy. While all mages have some level of training using magic, the militia are the ones trained every day to use magic in true combat. The militia also the peacekeepers of Magocracy as they are charged with the handling of crimes and criminals. When the Magocracy needs meat or dangerous wild animals need to be warded off, the militia does so without hesitation. Currently, the Militia's numbers are 1500 men and women trained to fight with their last breath.

History: The Titans
Titans
Scattered across the entirety of Titanus are ruins from a civilization long since lost to the passage of time, myth, and legends. From what scholars across can discover from the ruins and legends, there once was a Civilization of the Old World (First Era) of Titanus that ruled the entire world through a powerful magic and science. The race ruled over this Civilization were known as Titans, later naming the world after themselves, and they were the master of the universe after the primordials and before the gods. The Titans' size dwarfed the tallest giant, they wielded a powerful connection magic, and their technology was so advance it could hardly be told apart from magic.

Many of races that live upon Titanus today we created by Titans to serve as slaves and pets for them. For a time, the Titans entered a golden age that lead to the birth of hubris, debauchery, maliciousness that lead to the suffering of countless mortal lives. No one knew what lead to the end of Titan civilization, only that it led to their extinction, the rise of the gods, and the destruction of the old world. Some say that the Well of Creation gave birth to gods to kill and replace the titans while others say that gods were children of the Titans who overthrew their corrupted parents. Whatever the case may be all know that the world was forever changed and scarred but the time the birth of the New World (second era) in which gods now rule.

The ruins and vaults that are a scattered across the world of Titanus still hold some secrets and treasure of the Titans in objects called Lexicons but one must first traverse against ancient traps and horrid creature before they could reach them.

4th Post: The Mysterious Book

A book black like the abyss with a chalice of pure gold on the cover, and an aura of dark energy unknown to those of the magocracy. This anomaly would hopefully prove to be useful to not only Alexander and the magocracy but also to the pantheon that they are devoted to.

Alexander continued to sit in his chambers meditating. Considering all of the different choices and possible outcomes that would come from each option. He could leave the book and let random chance take over, destroy the "unnatural" book, investigate and research it, or he could move it somewhere else and forget about it entirely. Many different actions could be taken all of which had an unlimited amount of results.

Alexander cleared his mind and felt the magic flowing through not only himself but also the magocracy and the volcanic region they call home. The Avatar felt many things from the calm nature of water to the stubborn slowness of earth, to the raging ambition that is fire, to the divine energy that flows through himself, but he also sensed something else. Something….foreign...something...indescribable. It comes from the eastern colony just like Mercanoe reported. It must be the book.

The Divine Herald stands up stretching his limbs and making sure that he is prepared for anything that the gods throw at him.

Alexander dons his enchanted robe and his trusty staff of raw magic. He casts a simple spell of flight and floats to the eastern colony.

The eastern colony was the second city built in the volcanic region after the city: Prometheus was created. It was mostly populated by human wizards that had a strong affinity to fire and all that it encompasses. It was the weakest in defensive spells and the least tamed but it was the strongest in offensive magic and the extremely volatile spells made everyone there a force to be reckoned with.

Alexander arrived there in no time, using a simple spell of teleportation to transport himself to the totem of fire that resided in the middle of the colony.

When Alexander arrived at the eastern colony he noticed that it was still its same old self. The people were wandering around wearing their traditional wizard robes with books of all shapes and sizes. When they noticed the Avatar of the divine pantheon was standing near the totem of fire that was in the middle of the colony, they lost their minds. The younglings in the magocracy gathered around the Divines chosen scholar and begun asking many questions about not only magic but their future and the divine. However, the elders and adults in the colony are reluctant to approach the Avatar, they know through experience that the Avatar only travels in crucial moments where one choice can be the difference between life and death.

After entertaining the kids for a bit, Alexander continued on his quest and went toward this mysterious book.

When Alexander arrived at his destination it appeared just as Mercanoe said it was. The ground was some foreign blackstone and the statue of Sergeant Tyler stood in the center with the mysterious book in his hands.

When the Avatar was just moments away from the statue of Sergeant Tyler a bolt of something hard and soft, furious and calm collided directly Alexander's head. His vision went pure white strip of all color, his skin felt like stone, and the divine powers flowing through not only his blood but his souls felt like the were on fire.

However, this strange feeling wasn't similar to the energy produced by the book, but it was comforting like a mother's embrace.

After what felt like an eternity a mysterious feminine figure with pale skin, hair like the sea of fools, and eyes with a flaming golden glow appeared in front of Alexander.

It spoke to the Avatar with a gentle voice understanding voice, but it seems to have only the slightest bit of annoyance in it, " *sigh* Why do I suspect that I am going to be spending a lot of time teaching you how to fix magical screwups? I would suggest not touching ominous magical artifacts without making preparations in the future. Still, I'm sure you will grow better able to understand how to handle artifacts given time and experience."

When the woman finished speaking, the Herald felled to the ground on his knees. His nose was bleeding and his body was exhausted but still, he smiled. "So, that's what it feels like to speak to a Goddess." The Archmage continued to smile and even started to laugh for this meant that the Mother Goddess Citino hasn't abandoned him yet and if she hasn't then the rest of the pantheon hasn't either.

After the Avatar regained his strength he stood up and continued to walk to the statue and the book. As he approaches the statue he notices something going on with his hand. His hand felt has if it was becoming solid rock, his connection to the earth element seemed to have increased and finally, the avatar knew not only how to move and create earth but how to destroy it as well.

With a single wave of his hand the statue returned to life and Sergeant Tyler slumped to the ground unconscious.

Alexander bent down and picked up both the book and the newly freed Sergeant Tyler and teleported back to the Temple of the Sacred Fire.

He dropped Tyler off in the chaplain so he could receive medical aid then went to his personal chambers to study this anomaly.

Mysterious Book Part 2

Alexander sat in his chambers staring at the book with a bleeding left eye. He started reading this book hours ago but everything he has learned is..wrong for better lack of words. The Avatar could feel with every passing second near the opened book his body, mind, and soul being drained out of him.

From this book, the avatar learned of a foreign place that should not exist but does. The best way to describe it is has a forced fusion between Creation and the Void themselves.

The Book says, "The Uncreated Night. A Place of Damnation and Devastation. A Place where none should venture less they seek eternal agony and anguish. Uncreated Night a place that rests between everything and nothing, a place where the nightmares in our skulls come to fruition with the gift of creation. A place that the gods have abandoned, a place where our laws are useless and non-existent. The Uncreated Night, a place that should not exist."

Alexander has been to many places in his life but not once has he ever heard of a place that resides between the void and the well of creation. He continues to read the book gaining more knowledge on this Uncreated Night but also becoming weaker. He finally stops when he comes to an incantation that tells how to open a road that moves through the accused place.

What should Alexander do?

[ ] Read the Incantation

[ ] Ignore the Incantation
