The Eternal Queen: Immortal Viking Quest.

[X]Truth
-[X]Came to see what became of Jorvik.

This is based on a quite odd playthrough I had. I've toned it down in some regards (for example the man Maer imprisioned would have been Caliguia's immortal horse)

For example this is what North America looked like in the 1800s

Canada and USA are Muslim, California is Chinese. Ratta is an Indian State that follows Jainism.

Note I would consider this map sort of canon.

Oh, fancy, fancy, can we see a world map? :D

That aside, are those three Jorvikg Colonies each independent States or One Country In-Universe or are they still Colonies of Mainland Jorvik?

Two issues. One the map I showed is over two hundred years before the Roman Plague hit, and I tend ignore the bits of border gore and really crazy nonsense that happened. It doesn't repesent how things were before the end. And I do have a map for what the world is like now but that will only show up later, depending on decisions.

Edit: Okay here's Mainland Jorvik. Keep in mind this is 200 years before the Plague and this probably the largest Jorvik got even before the fall. Flanders is a puppet.

Sagas of Winter
"We've come from Vinland." You explained. "We've traveled many weeks at sea to witness what's become of Jorvik."

The man laugh joyously. "So Vinland endures?"

You shook your head. "Not as a such, it's mostly just villages and the occasional city-state."

"Ahh, to be expected." The man said as he clasped you on the shoulders. "Still it is good to see our cousins from beyond the Great Ocean still live."

The group eased up considerably.

Astrid didn't let down her guard, outside of you her life had been full of betrayal and hostility, she was not quick to trust. "What brings you here."

"We're scouts for Tyne, border province of our kingdom." he explained. "Here to gather supplies, search for holy objects, making sure no gothics soil this holy ground with their filth. I am Halfdan, son of Borg if we are to have introductions."

"I am Astrid, daughter of Maer." Astrid replied "This is my mother, Maer."

Thankfully there were probably a million people with your first name. Made hiding considerably easier over the years.

Halfdan turned his attention towards you "You must be a strong woman for her to ignore her father so. We should head back to camp, it will be nightfall before too long."

"Right, I should head back towards my ship." You began to say

"Nonsense!" Halfdan shouted "This is the first time a Nord from Vinland has set foot upon the homeland in centuries. Join us tonight, we enough venison and mead to feed a small village."

After weeks of nothing but fish and rations three times as old as Astrid, the offer of venison was simply to good to pass up.

You camped in the remains of an old Library. Most of the books long since taken or rotted away. According to Halfdan the place was a well used outpost for the Northern Kingdom. Why the Northern Kingdom never claimed Jorvik was unclear.

From what you could gather, the Northern Kingdom was just one of numerous kingdoms on the Isles. there was the Duchy of Gaeldom to the north, the Republic of Man and Confederated tribes in what was once long ago Ireland, and the Union of Devon and the Gothic Kingdom to the South.

The Northern Kingdom had been friends and enemies with most of the others at one point or another but they seemed to hold a vast hatred for the Gothic Kingdom. They had invaded two decades previously, fleeing from somewhere in East Frankia. They were Christians of a sort and had destroyed numerous Norse temples since their arrival.

Astrid stuck to one corner, away from Northerns. Eating what must have been her fifth helping of venison. You ate by the fire, talking with Halfdan about numerous subjects, war, the plague, what life was like in the Northern Kingdom. He seemed more a storyteller than a scout, but his people seemed to hold a decent amount of respect for him.

"Tell me, Maer." Halfdan said "You seem to follow the old gods, but does Vinland?"

You gave him a firm nod "For the most part yes. A few villages have sunk into strange heresies but for the most part they remember the old ways."

Halfdan looked at you curiously, unsure if he should say his next words.

"So I gather you know nothing of the Sagas of Winter and the Ascension?"

"No." you replied simply. "What Ascension?"

"Of your namesake of course, Maer the Eternal has risen where Odin fell."

"Oh no." You whispered under your breath.

The next hour or two was among the most surreal you had ever experienced. You watched as Halfdan unwitting told you of your suppose rise to godhood. How you had appeared during the darkest hours of Ragnarok, Saving the revived Baldr as most of the nine worlds burned around you. You had become Odin to a new Pantheon, no greater than Odin. To them you were the goddesses of wisdom, law, motherhood, fertility, the sea, poetry, magic, and master of the Valkyries. It wasn't that they rejected your tomes, they now simply saw them as one part of a much greater saga. To them there had once been many gods and nine Realms, then the end happened and now there where only Four Realms and Four Gods. Baldr, his brother Höðr, Thor's son Modi, and You, the mortal who had risen to become the greatest of the Aesir. Modi was the God of War and Winter, Baldr the God of beauty and desire, Höðr the God of Plague and Rebirth. Only the realms of Asgard, Migard, Alfheim, and Niflheim endure. The dwarves and Jotun are dead, their realms consumed by rot. The elves hide in Alfhiem, preparing for a Wild Hunt unlike any that came before.

You nodded along with his story, masking your surprise as much as you could. When asked how you felt about his Winter Saga, you said you would ponder it and quickly made your way over to Astrid.

You explained what he had told you to Astrid.

Astrid naturally thought it was one of the most hilarious things she had ever heard. And was struggling to contain her laughter.

"Honestly if anyone should be god of the sea it's me. I'm the only one keeping the boat running half the time." She said, choking on her laughter.

You tried your best to ignore her amusement. "We need to figure out how this happened."

"It was clearly Als." Astrid replied, turning her attention back to her mead.

That did make the most sense when you considered that mural.

"But why?" You wondered "He wanted me dead for daring to be open about my eternal life. Why would he use that to deify me?"

Astrid shrugged "He's insane. Or he knew this would piss you off, or he was bored. I mean you've done your fair share of odd things in the name of boredom. "

"I suppose, this just...I don't understand it." You muttered

"I don't think anyone does." Astrid said, her face going serious for a moment "But honestly mother, how does this make you feel? I know this can't be easy."

In the Morning. Halfdan will offer to take you and Astrid back to Tyne. He insists that the whole town will be eager to here what has become of Vinland. Of course Tyne and the entire kingdom followed the Sagas of Winter. You couldn't very well declare yourself to be Maer and that he was following a heretical tome, well you could but it would not end well.

Halfdan's Offer.
