I've been tinkering with this idea for a while, based on an interest in samurai/Japanese media that kicked off with Blue Eyed Samurai and Shogun. Welcome to the Edo Files, an urban fantasy quest set in late Edo Period Japan (with alterations to the setting as appropriate to fit the vibe I want, please don't get after about historical inaccuracy). The MC is Inspector Kinjo Fusaki, a provincial samurai who came to the city a year ago and got drawn into working for the Office of Enigmatic Affairs (ie the Weird Shit Division) of the City Magistrate's office.

At this point, this is intended to be a purely narrative quest. I may come up with some sort of basic overlay for a character sheet at some point, but I wanted to do something different than prior mechanics-heavy quests which have given me anxiety.
