I prefer to Correlate Stardrift than setting up the LEV bay.

@Goldfish why not spread the travel and idling around, instead of sitting still?

Also, let's save some fab stock for Correlate Stardrift. Instead of radio and LEV, Stardrift x2 gives us some incredibly important information. We might even point the damn thing the wrong way, depending on how long its been. I'm tired of this hanging over us like a sword.
Because the plan starts getting overly complex when I break it down to that level of detail. I don't have an issue with that, but a lot of other posters did.

Correlating stardrift no longer requires fabstock, though it is still mentioned in the fluff text. It's something I'm interested in getting done, too.

Okay, plan updated.

[X] Plan Wake the Dead - 12 Weeks
-[X] Idle around a star system (Refuel, Mine, Fab) [x2] - 4 weeks
--[X] Fabricator (28 Fabrication Units Available) - NOTE: Split idling time in systems up between two separate four week periods of Sailing Quietly so as not to linger in a single system for too long.
----[X] Fredbot (Cost: 4 Units) - 1st Priority
----[X] Armor the Foundry & Heavy Fabricator (Cost: 14 Units) - 2nd Priority
----[X] Labor Bot Customization
-----[X] Multi-Loadout [x2] (Cost: 1 Unit each, Total: 2 Units) - 4th Priority
-----[X] Secbot [x4] (Cost: 2 Units each, Total: 8 Units) - 3rd Priority
-[X] Sail Quietly [x4] - 8 weeks (Cost: 84 FCE)
-[X] Emma's Actions: x6 Available
--[X] Repair Star Lieutenant Fredrikson's Cryopod. [x4]
--[X] Correlate Stellar Drift.
-[X] Fredrikson's Actions: x2 Available
--[X] Heavy Survey

Hmm, I thought I had read somewhere that armor was a fortnight's work, but actually...

You can of course, I'll add an action to that effect next turn. Bear in mind though that using the Gravpress is possibly the most energy intensive thing you can do. I'm talking about the lights dimming because the main reactor is sputtering trying to feed the beast as it manipulates gravity to make super-dense alloys. You'd have to orbit for a month to get enough to cover the entire fab and foundry.

So 10 of our 14 production from a 2-week period is only going to be 10/28, not 10/14 which I mistakenly put in my plan. My bad. Will fix.

Not only does this get Fredrikson awake and the Foundry/Heavy Fabricator more thoroughly protected, it preps the Iris to to able to use the Marauder LEV, which we can use for orbital insertions and planet-side excursions while leaving the ship safely in space, outfits our Labor Bots to be useful in a fight, and deploys the WICOM array so we can try for some signal intercepts.

I really, absolutely do not want to spend more than 2 weeks fabbing. It's just begging for a repeat of the incident in which the Iris got hammered. We shouldn't be acting like a totally exposed sitting duck until we at least have 2 crew members and can have someone sitting on the bridge keeping an eye on the sensors 24 hours a day. The only thing that is absolutely necessary is the Fredbot; everything else is basically gilding the lily (having lalibots that can shoot is nice, but make no mistake, a serious threat will rip them to shreds; that's what the tank is for). If it was up to me, I'd fab the Fredbot then go straight under stealth, but apparently we can't do that. We've already spent enough time sitting around with our thumbs up our butts as it is. I will not vote for a plan that has 4 weeks of fabbing in it, period, end of story. The anti-Fredders have a point here at least.

Also, Fred is only using 1 action for some reason.

It won't require fabstock, no worries (see below). The problem with not setting up the LEV is that we will be without a useful tool if the Survey that people insists on turns up a planet that we might want to investigate. For all intents and purposes our limiting factor is now the heavy fab, not actual feedstock. Perhaps the Personal and Overhaul actions use the fabber at such a low rate that we can run it while in transit?

Due to complexity, I'm waiving the fab cost of the various overhaul actions (which seem negligeble now with your auto capacity anyway). In theory you're lumping around 14 fabstock aboard the Iris as a reserve, but since you can't fab on the move anyway it's practically the same thing.

I highly doubt the pods that have never been stress tested to failure, and whose batteries would last centuries, failed in a decade.

My bet is that the 44% isn't the upsurge. It's the downturn.

Given that the drones and probably the AI were Procyon'd, why not portions of the rest of the station? I doubt that only a decade has passed, but I have equal doubt that centuries would've.

I agree, so I've made a note in the latest version of my plan to split it up into two 2-week sessions in between 4-week periods of Sailing Quietly. I just didn't want to try to split a three month plan up into one month blocks. It would be needlessly complicated.

Still not going to vote for long fabbing periods until we have a second crewmember. It's still an extra two weeks of being stuck out in the open where something can snipe us in the time it takes the Iris' dumb system to notice and Emma to take command. There is nothing that we can fab that is worth the risk of idling around not under stealth with the bridge empty during Emma's sleep period. Lalibot upgrades, of all things? It can wait. Do it next voting period.

I don't really understand why someone has to sit on a bridge and watch the sensors. Can't you just set an alarm to ring when something shows up? Space is big, black, and empty. You're not going to get a lot of false positives.

I mean, if you want to stick Emma's head in the lion's mouth, sure. Right now we don't even have enough crew to stand a 24 hour watch and thus threats can show up while she's sleeping and almost get the Iris blown to bits.
I was under the impression that the Survey actions were exactly the thing that help prevent that.

Put some more energy into sensors, and it's likely you'll be warned when something unusual shows on the radar, and not when a torpedo is being fired at you.

A question: do any of leading plans use recroom? I do not see such, but I think we kinda want to slot at least some rec time in for Emma.

Which plans do you call leading? They have at most 3 votes. There is a Plan Gather Intel which has Recroom time in it; if you vote for it it'll become the next contender.

A Recroom action is basically a two week vacation. She shouldn't be taking very many of those, especially after just completing one. Regular Recroom visits could be an hour or two after working a normal day for rest and relaxation without actually needing to set aside significant time for it.

I feel I should have mentioned this during the update, but the 2 week Solovid IV detour will be coming up at the end of the next month, so if your plan is a 2 or 3-month one you should add in the option to either take the detour or ignore it, depending on your preference. Note that if taken, there will be an auxiliary vote during the next update to give you a chance to abort or go onwards after you've had a chance to anlalyse and discuss whatever it is you find from long range, and also any precautions, observations, or priorities for Emma to take if she decides to land/go on an away mission.

Ignore this!

Man that was quite important, especially since most of the regular voter have already cast their vote.

Well I am tagging all the voters because @bigbow just throw something pretty big on us, and we have to modify our plans quite a lot if we want to take this chance.
@Forgothrax @Mr Apollo @kilopi505 @pbluekan @Briefvoice @kinigget @Enkida @Goldfish

Well guys, as bigbow says even if we take the detour we will have the chance of persue or backing down, but in the case we decide to continue, we should be as prepared as possible, for this I sugggest to get both our lalibots teams to full strenght, getting a toaster bot in the case we need to repair anything, and most importantly get Frederikson perpared.

[X] Plan get Ready for Solovid IV, and get the sleeping beauty back on his feet (2 months)
-[X] Iris Actions
--[X] Idles around a system x2
--[X] Sail Quietly x2
--[X] Take the Detour to Solovif IV
-[X] Emma Actions
--[X] Mine, Refuel, and Fab
---[X] Fredbot (4/28)
---[X] Build enough Laibots to fill both teams. (14/28)
---[X] 'Toaster' Auxiliary Repair Bot (4/28)
---[X] Secbot Modification x2 (6/28)
--[X] Work on fixing Star Lieutenant Fredrikson's pod x4,

Sorry guys, ignore this...

I fucked up with the time table @Fanhunter696 , don't know why I read it that way. Solovid is still months away, its the FARS that's coming up but that's still in 2 more months. Belay what I said in the last post, I awoke stupid today.

Ok then...

[X] Plan Wake The Dead (2 months)
-[X] Iris Actions

I just... wow, Plan Wake to Dead is not going to make for a very good update. Emma is going to have to have a mental breakdown just so something interesting can happen.

So when Fredrikson does come out of the freezer, I think Emma should exclaim dramatically, "Welcome to the World of Tomorrow!"

Just a little thing called showmanship.
