Already? I thought it'd be closer to christmas when we got that, huh. I could (If the AI Power Armor mod makes the cut) Play Fallout in character as Alex and Abe...Cool.
Yayifications you may have, for the G.E.C.K. is multi-platform. You create it with the G.E.C.K, post it on the website and then its good to download.

Bethesda doesn't even have to vet/convert anything, as it's all made with the house toolkit.

Well first I'd have to figure it out, figure out how to use it to make the charicter a kid, then how to make an AI in the game XD

Part 5 I'm the wanderer
Alex glowered at the box she'd been given, she'd gotten her small guns back along with one box of lethal ammo for each calibre. She still couldn't help but feel cheated without her larger stuff. At least they'd been nice enough to give back Abe's stuff and Ada's mods (Even if a lot of it had limiters on them now).

The thing that was really bugging her was the alternate ammo she'd been given, the Rubber bullets just felt completely and utterly pointless (Your just going to piss the other guy off, WHY?!) But what was laughable to her where the 'Taser bolts'.

She was going to have to needle someone for the exact details of how they worked and blue prints before she even considered putting them in a gun but from what she calculated.

"Rule one don't kill…Immediately gives me ammo that if I double tap someone with would kill them." Ada blinked her optic.

"Really?"

"Probably only one if they had a heart condition and I get them just right on the chest." She picked up the offending bullet turning it in her hand "Or hell make sure that when they drop they fall down a flight of stairs or something, Probably need more for those uhrm…Meta-humans?" Ada nodded that her terminology was right "Maybe if you had a Minigun and a drum of them you might be able to down a Super mutant, or piss off a Deathclaw."

"What about a Mirelurk?" Alex sat back.

"…Kill a hatchling no problem anything else…Guess that depends on if there're wet cos the shells have got to give them some resistance but water conducts…" She put the bullet down. "…Shit I need blue prints, to take a dozen of these bastards apart then do some tests…"

"What about Ghouls?" Alex paused and looked up frowning in thought.

"…Shit that's going to bug me all day now, thanks Ada."

"Your welcome, you need something to occupy yourself." Ada laughed as Alex headdesked and flipped her the bird.

"Sometimes I hate you." She grumbled half heartedly though Ada knew she'd never mean it.

"I know you do," Ada leaned back against the wall whirling to herself content "Where's Abe?"

"Wandered off to do some exploring by his self, that or stalk Megan. I think he's developing his first crush." She grinned broadly "I'm so proud of him…Growing up so fast…"

A companionable silence stretched out between them as Alex rocked back on her chair looking around the rather sterile room. "…Feels kinda weird knowing we're going to be staying here for so long." Ada whirled cocking her head.

"I thought you'd lived the past few years with Valentine?" Alex chuckled.

"Sorta yes, Sorta no? I crash at his place a lot but…" She smirked pulling a Holotape out of her Inventory and loaded it into her Pipboy bobbing her head to the rhythm.

Oh I'm the type of guy who'll never settle down

Ada chuckled as Alex pressed another button on her Pipboy most of her Inventory emptying, humming along to the song content Alex scooped up all her guns laying them out on the desk to give them all a maintenance.

"Should I help with the sorting?" Alex shrugged still bobbing to the song as she picked up Hunters Eye.

"If you don't mind." Ada chuckled softly picking up a stack of old papers remembering fondly when she'd do the same for Jackson when he was sucked into working on one of the others.

0o0o0o

"Dinner." Alex looked up startled wiping her hair out of her eyes smearing grease on her forehead. She smacked a button on her Pipboy stopping the music and ejecting the Holotape.

"Already?" She questioned arching an eyebrow at Superboy. "That seems kinda fast." Not that she was the most reliable judge of that, she had a pretty bad habit of cooking things in bulk and using the time lock effect of her Inventory to keep it fresh and hot for her when traveling. There wasn't anything wrong with doing that, other than a mild loss of heat and people spinning tales about how it damages the taste or possibly irradiates the food.

"Wraps don't take long." He walked off Alex putting down Wolfs Fang, hurriedly wiping her hands on her Vault suit pants before following after him thankfully more then used to keeping up with someone with longer strides then her thanks to Abe.

"So….Been here long?" She asked trying to make conversation.

"Almost all my life."

"Ah got me beat, I've only spent a quarter of mine in the Wasteland." He glanced back at her Alex trying not to laugh at the clear 'I have no idea if your fucking with me or not' look on his face. "I'm being honest, I'll happily share any story's you guys want to hear…Might have to edit them a little so no one loses their appetite."

"…You're really from the future?" Alex shrugged.

"And I think another universe, or something. Pre bomb records are unreliable but I know for a fact that we didn't have this level of tech in the early two thousands. Nor was our culture like this…" She hummed "It's weird in some ways we were more advanced, others we're trailing far behind you…" She shrugged "can't wait to dig into your tech though it'll be fascinating to see how it interacts with my own. Ada and Abe will have to drag me away to eat when I get a hold of one of your terminals I really want to see how my programming skills stands up to snuff with them…"

He grunted looking away from her apparently losing interest as Alex mused mostly to herself. The twelve year old brightening seeing Abe helping set a table clicking to a bemused looking dark skinned male.

"There you are bud!" Abe looked up and cheerfully whirled clapping the guy on the shoulder (she had to give him credit at not wincing) "Kali-Kaldur?.....Am I mangling it?" He looked a little impressed.

"I wasn't aware that-"

"That his clicks and chirps where any kind of translatable language?" Alex sat next to him poking at a bowl of lettuce with a fork "Most people don't….That's something to look into, making you an actual voice box, that sound good to you?"

Abe gave a low groan and shook his head chirping "It's only a suggestion buddy, if you're happy the way you are more power to you." There was a bit of an awkward silence for a while, Abe wandering off to explore the mountain more as they ate. Alex poked a little at her food and watched that the others ate it before braving the wraps herself.

"So….Where you serious about telling us about this 'Wasteland'." Alex blinked looking up from her meal.

"Oh so your actually interested?" She grinned mulling it over "…Humph, thinking about it to understand a lot of my story's you need context soo…Up for a short history lesson and Wasteland bestiary?" Superboy shrugged focused back on his food though Kaldur and Megan looked more than a little curious. "While the Great War didn't happen till 2077, to understand why it happened you have to understand the ongoing Resource War that started in the 50's…"

I think I remember a superhero that actually uses guns, he's a cowboy or something and I'd think they might bring him in to help train her.

EDIT: Found him. I remember him from Justice League Unlimited.

How were they going to charge her with murder again?

"You are going to be charged with murder."
"In court?"
"No. We'll do it ourselves."
And then they became the Justice Lords.
:D

I like the idea of a fallout mindset interacting with justice league / young justice team, but the character's acting weird. She just steps through and tells everyone all her secrets? Hands over all her guns, ammo, and robot friends, and just goes along with whatever they say? Doesn't sound like a survivor to me.

Actually a lot of YJ / TT fics do this or worse. The character with an interesting backstory (that would require actual independence and paranoia) just meekly tells the league everything and follows along until they are on the team. It's not that surprising, because the story point of it is clearly to get them on the team, but it's usually a facepalm moment, and dilutes the point of having someone with a different perspective than the typical superhero. It also happens so fast it just increases the railroad feeling. Also makes sense because the author probably just wants to get to the good part, but I often wish the team joining was more an actual part of the story and characterization than just boilerplate prologue.

"Holy shit we still have our Inventory's!" She whooped Ada's optic dimming.

"Of course we do, did you just realize that now?" The robot snarked "You still have your Pipboy to, or did you forget?"

"Aaah mute it Ada." Abe gave a static laced laugh "You to Abe!" Alex grumbled putting away Wolfs Fang and digging around in her Inventory for a unmodded gun and putting it down on the bed with some spare mods "Might as well do something with my time…" She hummed disassembling what was already on the pistol so she could get an idea of how to improve it.

"Should we warn you if anyone approaches?" Ada asked Alex snorted with laughter.

"You're talking like they're not watching and rushing down to take the rest of my ammo...And possibly ask what an Inventory is if they don't have them there, which I'm guessing they don't considering no one told us to dump 'em."

Why is she talking about your inventory out loud? She obviously realizes the foolishness, but does it anyway...

"He's blackmailing us but doesn't want to say it."
More coercion by force than blackmail, might be funny for someone to point this out to her.

It really doesn't seem that plausible that they were planning on charging a twelve year old for self defense in an apocalyptic alternate reality when the only thing they know about it is what she told them.

Well technically we have Breaking and Entering a classified and highly restricted area , multiple counts of unlawful possession of unlicensed fire arms and ammo for said fire arms, possession of narcotics without prescription, possession of nuclear material in amounts more then big enough to do some serious damage (She hordes cores for Abe and Ada fanatically). Plus Alex out and out admitted to killing people and animals. And considering it's the DC Universe there are more then likely laws about unlawful use of laser weaponry and possibly restrictions on creating AI's that Abe would be breaking. Possibly Ada to but she didn't make her.

Sure thanks to her age she might get some leaniacy, and a defense lawyer could use her claims of being from a post apocalyptic future to plead insanity, but she'd still be looking at spending a good couple of years behind bars somewhere it just depends on if she'd be considered eligible for Metahuman juvie with Bell Revie in her future, or Arkham.

Note that only talk of charging her was brought up, not what she would be charged WITH So it was more of Alex assuming that her getting charged means bring brought up on murder. And again she straight up admits that she's killed the law can't really do anything if you admit you did it.

Alex is in a position of weakness where she doesn't know what the hell is going on or what she's facing, in roughly the first minute she and her (I'm fully assuming this is the weight of a Power Armor feel free to correct me if I'm wrong) two hundred pound Power Armor are lifted clean off the ground easily by a man who can hover in the air and keep them there indefinitely. There are several armed individuals in front of her, she doesn't have a gun in hand, Abe was still powering back up and was useless as was Ada.

Without Abe able to move she couldn't properly engage her Inventory and arm herself she was in a position where surrender is her best option for getting herself and her friends out alive considering she knows nothing about these people and what they would do to her.

Plus Alex is still a kid, she's had a lot of help surviving in the Wasteland and has learned that there are times to bluff, times to fold and times to be honest. Hell up till she saw the color monitor of alive and unmutated life on earth, and her world thriving all her possible motives for wanting to lie went out the window. This was basically a paradise and she has a chance to make a life for herself here and if their right and it's before the Great War she has a chance to stop the annihilation of most life on earth.

In that case keeping secrets could be the thing that get's her thrown back to the Commonwealth (if they knew how to do that) and losing her best chance of survival. Of corse she's going to do what she can to keep it.

Why is she talking about your inventory out loud? She obviously realizes the foolishness, but does it anyway...

As she points out their no doubt being watched so pretending it was nothings out of the picture, coming clean and trying to show 'Hey you can trust us!' is their best bet.

I'll make a note of that for later XD

And I already pointed out that where is a bunch of other stuff they can charge her for without bring in murder or alternate reality's.

Statute of reasonable limitations, thus resulting in Jury Nullification. Seriously, nobody would send someone to jail for following reasonable actions during a literal post apocalyptic future.

Besides, the breaking of such laws were literally beyond her control and it would be insulting to everyone involved to hold them against her.

True enough and probably one of Batman's main points, remember the League where arguing if they could or should charge her with anything and at the least Batman was on her side, despite the fact he hates guns and is probably more then a little unsettled that she's basically a mass murderer he understands that children can be pushed to take extreme actions when they need to.

other League member's I can think of who would definitely be on her side? Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman, heck Diana probably respects her as a warrior especially if a few of her story's get's filtered back to them. What Amazon wouldn't be impressed by taking out a Deathclaw?

For another, no nation or other authority on Earth 16 has claimed jurisdiction over the actions of people who are not their citizens that take place in alternate futures. That sort of claim would only show up in a society actively engaged in conquest of alternate timelines.

That's true, though Alex has been repeatedly telling anyone who asks that she's from Boston...Would the Massachusetts courts accept that?...Genuinely curious I live in the UK so I have very little knowledge how your courts work outside of Judge Judy, Bones and other crime shows...Hell honestly I have little knowledge how our own courts work I've spent my life being a goodie two shoes not wanting to go near them.

Whether Massachusetts courts would accept it, whatever "it" is, you'll have to be a little more specific. I can't parse what you're actually asking.

Accept her as being a citizen of their state and that she would need to be tried in their courts. Though you pretty much answered that before by pointing out that she's from a alternate universe.

So, just to clarify, since she said she was from Vault 98 she is not any of the protagonists. She's just some random wastelander from a Vault who happened to get caught up in the DLC stuff from Fallout 4.

That was really bugging me, since I had been thinking it was the protag from the 4th since they had Ada, but having her as way too young to have a kid - yet also calling Abe her kid...

Nice to get that cleared up. Might want to make a note of that on the first page.

As a dimensionally displaced person, I suspect she would receive something along the lines of refugee status.

As for any crimes that may have taken place in her past, there's no way they would ever even consider attempting to charge her for them.
