Already updates it bro. This was my first plan submission for this quest so the mix up flew right over me.
Sorry. Didn't see that.

Made some adjustments to my plans. I'll wait a turn on the netrunner armor, if only to have something for the ex Arasaka academy egghead's to work on.

Okay, so, rifle. Stopping power is hard capped by the ammo type, but there's a way around that. Make the chamber and barrel modular, and ensure there's space in there to support higher caliber mechanics. Future proof it against developments in ammunition. Instead of a whole new mechanism, he'll ideally only have to swap out a couple of parts MEANT to be swapped out.

Next, he wants customizability. A rail system.

Yeah, sure dude.

Anyways, we are going to make a pistol that has a detachable stock, barrel extender, foregrip, laser, several sights and scopes for different work, and maybe a detachable Netrunning transmitter so he can use the rifle to quickhack if he wants to. All of that attaches separately to his oh so precious Rail system, stuff that works as well as integrated. Also give him an underbarrel Nade Launcher and Shotgun attachments, cause why not?

I wonder if there would later be a quarrel between the Masamune married couple, and if it would then be revealed that Senji's father did what he did because he felt that it is the only way to get Senji back:

Play the long game.
Make Senji think he's won. That he has outsmarted his father and will outsmart his mother.
Give him almost everything he desires, then wait for him to make a mistake.

Perhaps Mr Masamune said to his wife, "It isn't Senji. It is this Ghost, this smith, who has poisoned him against us. Even if you drag our son back to Japan, we don't know if the smith would find a way to contact him again. We have to find the Ghost, and I believe that if we are careful, our son will lead us right to him."

And then Sakura being furious that if that was his plan, why did he not consult her first. Cue the insults and accusations.

Senji's father may or may not have been genuine when he wrote up and signed the contract, but even if he was, he could always change his mind later. He cannot be trusted to keep his word, and legal documents mean nothing to people with the power to disregard consequences.

[X] Plan Salvage what can be Saved
-[X] Pay them
-[X] I Believe in Me: You look at those kids who are now squatting in your apartment, who were now scattered across the city. And they had nothing. Nothing except hope in you. You need to repay that hope.
-[X] Shakes won't stop: Stella is looking at the final note that her father wrote to her… abandoning her… just because she had been targeted for death. She… still dosen't belive what she is reading.
-[X] I Have Met a Nice South African: Malcolm hasn't left his room in two days. And as you opened the door. He was playing russian roulette… "Come on join me… I shouldn't be fucking alive anyway." He… loaded another bullet and spun the chamber. "Don't deserve to be alive anymore."
-[X] Some Ideas to Stay Alive: Some of the old Farm Kids from the interior, those that were in the academy, had some ideas that could be interesting. Trying to find a way to make the building more food and energy-independent.
-[X] Create a Custom Design: You will make a wonderful new design that no one ever has seen before. (Goes to Design Miniturn)
--[X] Blackhand's Combat rifle
-[X] Build a Weapon (A Preexisting Design)
--[X] M-45 "Hellspitter"
---[X] Uncommon elements
---[X] 5

I think super rare components are good enough. +8 is only 2 points short of +10. Legendary components are hard to come by. I'd rather save them for our first piece of chrome or our next heavy armor design.
I'd also rather not deliver a product that's not our best to Morgan Blackhand.

Now is not the time to be a spendthrift.

I just want to say this now so I don't keep repeating myself. Senji's only specializations or things he can make with his hands are: armor, ammo, weapons, and maybe a little construction/electrical work? That's all he can do FOR NOW, am I right? Will the R&D lab help expand on the things he can make like cyberware or medicine?

It's still going to be the best material we've used so far, and frankly the chances we Nat 20 in any portion of this action, let alone the final quality roll, is low, so odds are at the end of the day the armor will still be superior.

Umm. Why are we using the kids to set up a self sufficiency in the building most of them don't live at rather than founding a corporation so they all have paying jobs by the start of next turn?

To give them something to do, make them feel useful (which they are), to give them inclusion and not feel left out while we make badass stuff. Who knows, maybe they might just suprise us with something amazing. That's just my idea tho.

If someone saves you, you would normally feel thankful and want to pay them back somehow. If you're like these kids, how would you pay back your super cool uper classmate? You have no home, presumably little to no money unless Arasaka wasn't able to touch your bank account, and only had what you could carry with you from the school. How do you pay him back? You knuckle down and help out however you can with whatever knowledge and technically skills you have.

Let's get some stock, then we can sell stuff. No point in a store if there's nothing to sell!

We can also set up an R&D lab once we have some more funds, too!

Before I forget, we still have the contact info for the construction people right? I think Senji's relationship with them was 1 or 2 out of 10? Would they be worth contacting and if so for what purposes? I vaguely recall them wanting guns or something because of how dangerous Night City is.

They will come up soon actually, with thier own action, if you actually start selling weapons in a big enough number.

I'd say all of that is a touching notion, but a bit unrealistic for an academies worth of orphans with no way to support themselves unless they had the sense to put away something for a rainy day. Even then, it would be better to get the company going and then build the green house or whatever.

The Ghost in the Past

You will get more of the team of people that will slowly and surely become your mercenaries for missions.

Kenji

Age: 36
Gender: Male

Stats & Attributes:

Humanity: 17
(Despite being a cold-blooded killer, he has become something he never believed he could be… a good man.)

Technical: 2
(Kenji leaves the crafting and technical work to Senji—the only person he could ever call his son.)

Reflexes: 15
(A lifetime of battle—from the Yakuza to Arasaka, and then… for Senji. His mastery over combat is absolute, honed through endless bloodshed.)

Intelligence: 5
(Kenji is no fool, but when it comes to tech and hacking, he'd rather let someone else handle it. He operates on instinct, not schematics.)

Body: 14
(Shot, stabbed, broken—none of it matters. Pain is irrelevant. He will fight or he will die well.)

Cool: 10
(A former Yakuza, Kenji's presence alone is enough to make most people hesitate. His aura is one of quiet, restrained violence—until it's not.)

Cyberware:

None.
(In a city where chrome means survival, Kenji remains purely human—a relic of a bygone era, relying only on flesh, blood, and sheer force of will.)

Traits & Personality:

Unbreakable Discipline – Years of bloodshed forged him into a warrior who never hesitates. He moves with purpose, fights without doubt, and never flinches in the face of death.
Loyal to the End – Kenji is a man of his word. If he gives you his loyalty, he will stand by you through fire and blood. But betray him? There is no second chance.
Cold-Blooded Yet Compassionate – He has killed more men than he can count, yet he now finds himself protecting those who have no one else. The irony is not lost on him.
Old-School Warrior – Honor, respect, and discipline govern his actions. He despises cowards, backstabbers, and those who hide behind technology rather than facing their enemies head-on.
Father Figure (Senji) – Kenji never expected to care for anyone again, yet here he is, guiding and protecting Senji as if he were his own blood.
A Ghost of the Past – The Yakuza, Arasaka, the countless battles—he has walked away from all of it. But he knows the past never truly lets go.

That's a little unfair to them. Sure not all of them are as exception as Senji and his two friends, but there's a hundred so other orphans. There's bound to be a few diamonds in the rough. Plus I'd rather not do them thr disservice of at least figuring out what their talents may lie.

THey are talented in different ways, then say, engineering.

You might even find a few that Kenji can turn into badasses.
