The Architect of Anarchy: A Cyberpunk Crafting Quest

How you all like the update?
The Nat 1 obviously sucks but the high rolls in other places more then make up for it.
-[X]Malcom's Gun: He brought you the specs to make his own firearm… it was a revolver yes… but very different than you have ever seen before. Rolled:D20 => 10

Malcolm's design was deceptively simple—at first glance, anyway.

A .44 Magnum with a shortened barrel, a break-action mechanism, and a laser sight mounted underneath. A solid, brutal piece of hardware. Compact, powerful, deadly.

That part? That part was easy.

Hell, you could build something like that in your sleep.

But Malcolm wasn't looking for just any gun.

No, he wanted a monster.

A revolver that could chamber multiple types of ammunition, each one deadlier than the last.

Armor-piercing rounds to punch through steel and meat like butter.

Hollow points to turn soft targets into red mist.

Full metal jackets for reliability and control.

And the pièce de résistance?

Explosive ammo.

A hand cannon that could end a fight before it even began.

Something that could chew through cyberware, corporate armor, gangoons, and even MaxTac if it came down to it.

A revolver that could do everything, and kill anything.

Something so absurdly powerful, so goddamn mean, that even Dirty Harry himself would hesitate before pulling the trigger.

And you?

You were going to build it.

Reward: Mission Unlocked: Building Malcom's Dream Gun.
Is he asking for a gun that can switch between different loaded ammo without having to actually change it out? Something like Judge Dredds lawgiver? Because a regular gun should be able to use most specialty ammo just fine shouldn't it?

Yes... well kinda.

It's feasible for us to make such a weapon, but there is a problem with that.

No one has ever done that before.

so... there is that?

Making weapons for the workers is a good idea. They can help with the apartment and later help construct a hopefully hidden base when we leave Arasaka.

Making a guild of techies will only work if one can get support from most solos and cyberpunk in Nicht City and the gangs. It needs to be an artisanal group of high-grade quality and not mass production otherwise the corps will come down hard and kill it.

No the solos and cyberpunks are too irregular to build a business model around plus they are the ones that the corps hire to do their dirty work to begin with, they will be around and we will work with them and doing so will net us huge reputation gains but don't expect much else cyberpunks are deeply individualistic its what puts the punk in their name

Realistically our big clients starting out will be the fixers and gangs while the guild is it's early phases as we gather resources, grow membership and get a reputation which will attract more talented people to join

Once we have enough of a reputation, membership, resources and we start hitting the limits of what we can do as an underground group the guild incorporates as a cooperative corporation

Mind you it would still be a guild its just that way will gain access to all the perks of being a corporate entity like being sovereign and getting away with murder

My main inspiration for this idea is the guilds of Ankh-Morpork from discworld is they fit in Night city new liberal society

So I think we should begin arming our little proto-gang of lost children. We lost our ability to get new components by ourselves and the noose just tightened a little. So having our minions be able to get stuff for us would be a good work around.

We need to start preparing our exit strategy so we do not have to run with only what we can carry on us.

Ecept that Solos and Cyberpunks are so common within Night City, that building a buisness model can be formed around those that form.

Because they do in fact have more then individuals. Many of them share a common goal that people like Blackhand and Silverhand... and even Rouge... take advantage of.

The Solos and Cyberpunks of this time, really hate the Corps that are destroying their city.

Mostly for their own sake, rather then any truly ideological bend.

Johnny is just nurturing a grudge.

And Morgan works for people.

okay but that still doesn't address the issue that Solos , edge runners and cyberpunks are not exactly reliable cliental , like sure they are big tippers, can afford to buy the best shit and likely provide solid reputation gains , but they also die off like fruit flies and you can't really depend on them for security unless you've hired them for a long term contracts to stick to you side ways

Adventure 1: Samurai Part 1 New
Adventure 1: Samurai Part 1:

The Arena was Packed!

Not just crowded, choked with bodies, a sweltering mass of flesh and chrome pressed together so tight it was a wonder anyone could breathe. The scent of sweat, synth-drugs, and cheap beer clashed with the acrid tang of overheating cyberware. This was Night City's underbelly in its purest form.

Samurai.

A name that made corpos seethe with hatred. A name that Arasaka, Biotechnica, Militech—hell, every major corp in the city—wanted to be erased from history. Samurai was the sound of rage, raw, unfiltered, and violent. It was music that could tear apart city blocks, that could level entire corporations with nothing but guitars and screams. And leading the charge?

Johnny Silverhand.

A walking revolution. A charismatic firestorm wrapped in leather and chrome. He wasn't just a rockstar—he was a weapon against everyone who stood in his way. And tonight, this arena wasn't just a venue. It was a war zone, and everyone here?

They were his army.

They came from all walks of life, disgruntled workers, street punks, mercs, gangoons, even some rogue corpos who had finally had enough. But most of all, the crowd was filled with the angry, the dissatisfied, and the devoted, those who came not just for music, but for marching orders from the last Messiah of Rock.

As you pushed your way through, feeling the pulse of the crowd and the static electricity of anticipation, you couldn't help but notice a few things.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Off to the side, an old man stood near the edge of the pit. He had the build of a cop, but the look of a man who had seen too much, someone too tired to enjoy the moment, too on edge to relax. He was trying, though. Maybe for the sake of the young woman beside him.

She stood out. Wealthy, privileged, powerful. Even in the dim neon haze, you could tell. Not a corpo, but definitely rich. She had that unmistakable air of someone who had never been in a place like this, someone completely lost among the swirling chaos of rebellion and rage.

Maybe she was here for the experience. Maybe she was chasing a thrill. Or maybe—just maybe—she was looking for something real in a world that had never told her the truth.
--------------------------------------

A little deeper in, you spotted a solo weaving through the crowd. He moved with purpose, a predator scanning for trouble, his iron strapped to his thigh like a lifeline.

And what a piece of shit it was.

Some old, battered sidearm held together with duct tape and bad decisions. It looked like it would jam if he breathed on it too hard. You almost felt offended just looking at it.

You could see one of your Killer Angels in his hands instead. A real weapon. One that wouldn't fail him the moment bullets started flying.

Maybe he just hadn't met you yet.
--------------------------------------
Then there was the terminal. Well a laptop really.

Tucked away near a stack of crates, left unattended—its screen flickering, just begging for someone to take a closer look.

Curious.

You could probably tear it apart for parts. Or maybe—just maybe—it held something interesting. Something valuable.

Something… worth stealing.
------------------------

The lights died.

A heartbeat of silence. Then—

BOOM.

An explosion of neon, strobes, and fire as the first guitar riff slashed through the darkness like a blade.

The crowd roared, the arena shook, and you felt it—deep in your bones.

This wasn't just a concert.

This was a battle.

And tonight?

Samurai was leading the charge.

What do you do?:

[]Go to the Cop: You're going to talk to the girl, see what that cop has to say as the rock music begins.

[]Find that Solo: You were going to make a sale in the middle of a rock concert? Why the hell were you doing this? Because that weapon he was using offended you in ways you didn't even realize.

[]The Computer: You were going to look through the computer... and then... you were going to tear it apart. Piece by piece for things you needed.

[]Listen to the concert: Ignore the calls to adventure. You were here to have fun.

Cop I don't know the significance of, trying to sell to the merc seems both rude/bad rep inducing and unlikely to work, tearing apart the computer seems ever more unlikely to go well, paying attention to the concert could lead to interactions with Samuri band members.

I think it's a very bad idea to tear apart the computer, but other than that I'm going to see what other people say before voting.

I did say peoples OCs would appear in the story as secondary charecters on our adventures and serve as our customers?

So... something is happening on that end. an oc or two are appearing, something to please them, and some other plotlines.

[X]The Computer

I'm not sure tearing apart the computer will please anyone who's currently using it for whatever reason, but well I'm interested all right.

[X]Go to the Cop

And helping someone else get out who would also have potential connections could be good. Plus wealth while not being associated with a corp in Night City is pretty rare, plus the bodyguard's disillusionment with the system could be an interested perspective to learn about.
