OH! Good to see it's someone we can work with. Honestly, despite the secret identity issues, I think I prefer being trustworthy towards her over lying, especially because I'm not sure we have the 'blank flash drive' on us at the moment.

Not swearing, but it's just: Justine has a personal reason to be against Stark, so emphasizing his personal humiliation/that part of it might help? As long as we also combine the moral.
I am pretty sure I already mentioned humiliating him? Anyway, edited the vote a bit, if anyone has further opinions please do say something or write-in your own.

-[X] "Imagine the look on Stark's face. Man like that is all ego. You blow them up and he'll just make more to spite you... you make them look silly, and..."

Maybe?

Ok, I'm loving this.

But one thing:

Aren't plastic explosives like... surprisingly safe actually? All things considered? Like you can even burn them and they don't explode without a detonator?
Yeah but if you have a giant block of explosives you should like... not treat it as a toy is the thing. Not even for danger reasons, just respect the boom.

(US soldiers in Vietnam used to throw C4 into campfires to make them burn hotter for various dumb reasons!)

I'm not sure we want to tell Justine too much. She doesn't seem to be the most infosec minded kinda gal.

"Some tech made this hack" is about as little as we can reveal? And as far as it goes, Justine Hammer isn't really in a position to spoil the surprise unless she, like, gets in costume and yells it from the rooftops in Times Square.

We don't need her to keep it a secret forever, just long enough for it to fall apart... whereas if we told her that we have Tech Powers, she'd have to keep it secret for the rest of her life, which she clearly can't manage.

This isn't really about Stark though? The point is to convince the NYPD that these are more trouble than they're worth. Giving her a frivolous reason might even make her more likely to tell someone that this was sabotage instead of Stark fucking up, since gloating is cool if you just did something to rub in someone's face.

Hmm, sure, I guess? But we need to give her a reason not to just wait until we go and 'solve' the issue for real.

This seems good. Not a huge fan of giving out some of this info, but I can't think of a way to talk her down without giving her something.

[x] "My tech person made a virus that'll make them arrest cops. Should get the whole program canceled."
-[X] "No one can ever know we were here. The police need to believe that Stark genuinely screwed up and is unwilling or unable to fix it. The idea being, that once the robots continue to arrest cops for breaking the law, the police will shutter the program and Stark will be publicly embarrassed."

The new version is better but I see no reason to beat around the bush here. Justine needs to know that if anyone ever finds out the the bots were sabotaged instead working as Stark made them to, then the program was back on.

It shouldn't be possible to reprogram the bots like this without Liv's tech powers, for basic security reasons, and Justine probably knows enough about infosec to guess that, but Liv's her personal hero so she'll probably go along with what we say anyways. This could be an elaborate con, but it doesn't seem very likely - if Liv's been busted, Stark would send a security team, not a teenager, and I don't see how anyone else would have found out.

[X] "Blowing these bots up won't stop Stark from making more, Justine. In fact, he might double down if you do. I have a more permanent solution in the works, which is why I was in here in the first place. I know some people who know some people and those people were able to make a virus that'll turn these bots into a radioactive hot potato of bad PR, and hit Stark right where it hurts. In his pride and in his wallet. The police don't like it when they're held to their own rules, let alone to the same standard as anyone else would be."

She doesn't need to know Liv is a techno path, but Justine herself is a prodigy in a super suit. Liv can just bullshit that she's also wearing a super suit with stolen technology.

Which is not only true, there's even Stark tech in it. I think we're really overthinking this.

My only problem is that Justine seems fairly good techwise. If we tell her we made a virus she's gonna ask how we're Uploading it.
SUPER SUIT. It's even true. We literally have stolen arc reactor tech and we can even tell her about the captured alien battle suit. Hell, that'll make her day, one of Arachnes coolest unknown adventures, the time she got in a fight with a stranded alien AI.

"I have a dongle."
"And that works?"
"I guess? I'm not the tech person."

And at some point we have to trust that Liv can converse with this person without our explicit instructions. These updates are a thousand words long, we're just voting for the starting point.

I'm really not a fan of the "look on Stark's face" thing. Her one accomplishment is saving a homeless guy's backpack, not drawing a penis on Stark Tower. We don't have to paint this as a trolling thing to get her on board, and it could backfire if she's looking to cause actual material inconvenience.
