Moving closer, you saw that the extra 'darkness' (for lack of a better description) was caused by a strange mark on the wall, like someone had merged an Ampersand and Octothorpe together into a singular symbol. It was circular yet at the same time angular, it was dark yet staring at it made it seemed bright, the lines seemed to twist and collapse within themselves yet at the same time looked vibrant and alive. Surrounding the Amperthorpe (that's what you're going to call it so shut up) were faint black patterns, almost like an explosion had gone off and left the only remaining evidence of its existence on the wall. If you didn't know any better, you would think that someone had access to jet propulsion and emerged from the mark, but that was impossible...wasn't it?
You looked across from the Amperthorpe, and directly opposite the mark you found a small bush perfect for cushioning somebody if they happened to land on top of it. From where you were at, you realized that the bush looked a little squished compared to the other bushes you could see. Moving closer to the bush, you almost tripped onto the ground as you felt a sudden shift of elevation under your shoes. Now that you were closer, you discovered that surrounding the bush was a tiny but deep crater with miniscule pencil-thin hairline cracks extending forth from it, like something had crashed landed on the road.
'Did a meteor fall from the sky???' Squatting down in bewilderment, you tried to get a better survey of this mysterious indent in the ground that had appeared. You noticed that the cracks hid within themselves a faint, matted silver glow. At the center of the crater, hidden well by dirt and foliage from the bush, was a golden locket attached to a black beaded string necklace. 'Hold on, I've seen this before. This necklace.... wait doesn't it belong to -- !?'
"Oya? Looks like I've come across a rather awkward situation haven't I?" Startled out from your thoughts, you looked upwards to find, of all things, a fluffy white cat with grey markings grinning downwards at your shocked expression. Stunned, you tried to make some resemblance of a sentence towards the cat. Before you can recover though, the cat speaks up again.
'Oya? You're my master's sensei aren't you? Well can't have you poking around here too much can we? It would be problematic if you discovered something won't it. Seriously that girl needs to learn to clean up after herself...I won't be able to cover for her all the time will I? So sorry about this sensei, but she doesn't want to drag anyone else into this does she?'
