It has been a very long time since I've done anything on this site so I am a wee bit clueless on how things work.

The moment she opened her eyes back in that hospital room and was discharged later, that same pale blue floating text screen had been following her around.
[Please Select One Name]
No one seemed to be able to see it, not the doctors nor her dad, even when they leaned into it, they never noticed it.
It was strange, very strange, but it didn't feel too surprising though as Taylor knew there were some Capes with weirder powers.
The fact that she may as well be a Cape with powers improved her general mood despite all the shit she has endured for the last 2 years now.
Once she and her dad arrived home, she went to her room with the excuse of wanting to rest, which her dad didn't contest. She made the promise of getting take-away Chinese food later.
Taylor didn't mind it, in fact, she preferred it, as right now she wanted to finally see what this floating screen was all about.
Upon shutting the door to her room, Taylor sat down on her bed and after staring at the floating screen for a bit she finally pressed on its surface, it then began to expand and show a whole list of names that she didn't really recognise at all.

Where did she even begin?
She only really knew 4 of the dozens of names on this list and even then she had the vaguest of ideas about what they were, other than that 3 of them were ships and the other a historical Queen, why was there even a Queen and ships on this list in the first place.
There were also many foreign sounding names, and even the English looking ones she didn't know anything about.
But that screen just said to select one, but the question was who?
Ultimately though, Taylor decided to touch the name that was the most recognisable of the bunch.

Then once the blue text screen vanished Taylor began to feel a tingling sensation.
Then that tingle became a pleasant warmth.
Which then became a bit hotter…and hotter.
She then noticed her hands were shaking.
Her breath then shuddered before Taylor went ramrod straight.
She tried to make a sound but couldn't as they choked.
Then Taylor fell backwards into her bed as an excruciating pain like fire or something very close to it ignited within her bones.
It started in her heart before spreading to her spine and then the rest of the body.
Taylor could feel her body spasm as pain wracked her body.
Her eyes became blurry as tears leaked out.
And before long Taylor saw nothing as her consciousness faded into darkness.

When she woke up again it was the worried distraught face of her dad that appeared above her and that of a familiar stranger along with familiar surroundings.
"Miss Hebert is awake, please inform the others" a young woman with freckles, brown messy hair in a white robe with a red cross outfit called out to a black-suited man with shades.
"Taylor sweety, are you ok are you in pain anywhere" The voice of her dad brought her attention off of Brockton Bays resident premier healer.
As she glanced around, Taylor became increasingly aware that once again she was back in the Hospital, plus she could feel lingering feelings of pulsating pain running up and down her body.
Other than that she felt fine, however, her head was killing her, in fact, Taylor began to understand strange things and feel something that wasn't there.
But focusing on her dad she did her best to try and reassure him.
"N-no, Dad, I'm fine, I think…what happened, why I'm I in the Hospital again" This was something that she wanted to know as from her perspective, a few moments ago she was in her room experiencing the worst kind of pain all over her body other than the torment she went through by the trio on nearly every school day.
"When I was about to leave to get food, I heard you screaming upstairs, when I saw you, you were thrashing and yelling while strange glowing lines appeared on your body, I called the ambulance which involved the PRT and Protectorate and before long we got you here at the hospital, it's been nearly 9 hours since then" from what her father had revealed to her was like a strange metaphorical weight being placed on her then leaving all the same, it didn't make any sense but she couldn't help but marvel at the fact the heroes of the Bay were involved with this incident and surprised by the fact it's been that long since she pressed that name on that floating text screen.
A glance at the nearby window showed that outside was still dark but getting brighter as the sun was rising, but she clearly remembered it being in the afternoon when she got back home.
But Taylor began to quickly notice something, there was some weird feeling on her back as well as an unfamiliar weight on her chest, and looking down left her very confused.
There seemed to be two great big mounds that appeared to move up and down at the same rhythm as her breathing.
'what is this' she thought to herself while bringing up her hands to them.
But she jolted in surprise when she felt something upon grabbing them, something very familiar yet so strange as well.
In a quick motion, she brought her hands to her patient gown and raised it a bit just so her eyes could see what was going on with her chest.
With eyes slightly widening she saw that the mounds were indeed part of her body and not some strange thing hanging there, another quick poke immediately confirmed that 'yes they are a part of my body'.
It was surreal what was happening, she almost couldn't believe this was happening to her.
"Erm, Taylor dear, please don't do that while I'm here" At the sound of her Dad's voice, Taylor jolted up looking between her dad and her chest before quickly realizing what she had been doing in front of her father of all people.
Her face flashed red as mortification flooded her mind.
But her embarrassment came to a halt once the door opened and in came three Protectorate Heroes and some PRT personnel.
Standing in front of her were Velocity the speedster hero, Miss Milita the gun-summoning heroine and at the lead, Armsmaster the leader and Tinker hero in the city.
"Greetings Miss Hebert I see you are awake; I do hope you are able to provide some answers to help us in our investigation" That was…blunt.
Armsmaster had placed himself directly at the end of the bed while looking intently at Taylor whilst asking his questions which felt more like an order than anything else.
"Armsmaster seriously, the kid just woke up, give her some time" the other male hero spoke out with exasperation at the first words spoken by his superior.
"What our dear friend here meant to is, are feeling okay Taylor, is there anything we could do for you to make you feel better" the Heroine said in a calm and nurturing voice, almost like she knew what to say to make someone feel at ease.
"u-h y-yeah, I'm ok" Taylor replied rather nervously, the Heroine smiled, or at least Taylor thinks they smiled under their American bandana.
"That's excellent, I hate to trouble you, but we'd like to ask questions relating to your Trigger" The way she said seemed almost reluctant but all the more far more considerate.
"I'm sorry for interrupting, but what are you referring to when you say Trigger" Danny Hebert, Taylor's father asked the heroes before them as he wasn't one to understand nor follow hero and villain terminology with one another.
The three looked a bit hesitant to answer, they even grimaced at the question.
"A Trigger Event Mr Hebert" Armsmaster started speaking "Is when a normal human being becomes a Parahuman and gains powers by going through what can only be described as the worst possible day you have ever experienced" A look of realization flooded Taylor once the Tinker hero finished his brief explanation.
"My locker" she whispered loud enough to be heard.
"Precisely" Armsmaster nodded to her as Velocity took over speaking.
"That is why we are here, as most Trigger Events result in the individual using their newly gained powers to reap a bloody revenge on those who have wronged them, it's why we have so many villains compared to heroes" Taylor shivered at those words for she could already envision herself doing terrible things to her tormentors, heck she might have added in the whole of Winslow into it.
"Thankfully, however when you look at it, your case while being very bad is a breath of fresh air as normally we have to resort to physical force to 'calm' the individual down, least they do something they will regret for the rest of their lives" Taylor had to resist huffing at the remark.
"But this also ties into our investigation, we've already have warrants and confessions, but what we'd like to confirmation on is who are the ring leaders, we don't want to waste too much time on going through the convicted pushing their blame on others who may or may not be involved, so I must ask, do you know anyone who you know for a fact that they were malicious towards you" Taylor didn't really need to think too hard and long about what to say, only that a sense of tension and relief was filling her.
Would justice finally be served to those bitches, would the last 2 years of suffering finally come to an end, just like that, could this be a dream.
Nonetheless, Taylor answered with certainty in her voice.
"Madison Clements, Sophia Hess, and Emma Barns" Her Father looked shocked at the last name being said while the heroes tensed their stances before various looks were shown over their body language.
"Emma, Taylor you two are friends" Taylor merely shook her head feeling guilty over revealing this fact to her Dad.
"Ever since camp, she just suddenly started acting differently, tormenting me with Sophia along Madison" She didn't want to face her Dad, she couldn't begin to imagine what he would do once she explained everything they had done to her.
"And are you absolutely sure that these are the ones who caused your Trigger" Armsmaster said with a biting steel in his voice, it was cold, and that somewhat scared Taylor.
"Yes, I have a journal filled to the brim with all the things they've done to me, I can show you it once we get home" Armsmaster nodded before turning to her dad.
"Sir, it would be apricated if we could recover that piece of evidence as soon as possible" Danny just nodded.
"Yes, uh Taylor, I-I'm going to take them to get it, do know where we can find it" Her Dad was trying hard to suppress his rage much less look angry from what she revealed, it's not often Taylor gets to see him unleash his furry, but the times he does it at times frightens her.
"T-Thats ok, I don't mind, it on the top shelf in the cupboard" As she says this her Father nods back along with a smile saying 'I will see you soon' before leaving with the male heroes while the heroine stays behind.
At this moment Taylor wanted to fall back into the bed she was on, the drama however brief it was had her feeling exhausted.
As if seeing it, Panacean ushered everyone out of the room so Taylor would have some rest as well as time to herself as she had just woken up.
Once the door was shut, Taylor immediately got up while making sure to not accidentally remove the wires on her which were monitoring her health.
She wanted to get a good look at herself in the mirror to see what else had changed other than the massive lumps on her chest.
Upon making it to the said mirror in the small bathroom, Taylor couldn't help but feel gobsmacked at what was being reflected at her.
There in the mirror where Taylor was supposed to be, was not a tall, stick thin, akwarded faced wide-eyed teen.
Instead, there in place of her image, was a stunningly beautiful young woman standing there, it was as though everything wrong with her former body was purged and replaced, her muscles seemed to magically become more pronounced clearly shown on her larger leg thighs, toned arms, and stomach, there was no longer a pudgy bulge anymore but a lean six pack.
Her skin seemed to shine, and impurities were gone, it looked like she went to a spa.
The most glaring change was obviously her chest which ballooned from a depressing flat board that those bitches especially Emma poked fun at whenever she could, now with vindictive glee she could proudly say hers were bigger.
Next on her face, her eyes had changed colour along with her hair which somewhat hurt her self-esteem as they were one of the only things which she took pride in, the fact they were so similar to her mothers.
Now though, her eyes were a pale blue that seemed to glow as they were reflective in this light, her hair had changed completely from raven locks to stark white, it was no longer curly but straight and wavy, however thankfully its length was unchanged.
But her bodily change wasn't the only thing she was stunned at for it was what was behind her, or more disturbingly, what was fused to her back.
Just above the hip line right near her lower back was a fusion of flesh and metal, it was a boxy sort of contraption that sprouted mechanical arms that had what could only be described as cannons affixed to them.
Taylor counted three large tri-mounted ones that stood out prominently and 4 smaller dual mounts.
Upon seeing them and the drastic changes to her body, Taylor seemed paralyzed or more appropriately dumbstruck.
She knew full well how the changes came to be, upon touching that name upon that floating screen then the following and blackout.
USS Washington, Taylor was unsure what it was, only that it was an American name for something, for what though she was drawing up blanks.
She shook her head at it, it didn't matter, not right now at least.
So Taylor moved back to her bed to sit down and just think about what direction her life might be moving in.
Soon though she thought about that floating screen from yesterday.
[13 days 14 hours 33 seconds Until Next Selection Offer]
Then there was that whatever it was it didn't react to any of her finger touches like last time, the screen just displayed this same countdown, and she could make an educated guess as to what though.
The idea that she could potentially gain another superpower just by selecting another name in the next two weeks was quite frankly amazing in a sense.
She wasn't sure if should reveal this aspect to everyone else, from what she gathered during the talks with heroes, the days until her next power selection were going to be very busy days.
In a way, it felt as though a huge weight was lifted off of her shoulders after revealing just a mere bit of information on her tormented life on what was the cause of her 'Trigger Event'.
There was much to worry about and equally perhaps much to be hopeful for.
In the meantime though, she would ask the nurses for a book and when the opportunity presents itself, ask about what the USS Washington was.
