back on stupid work
now it just sounds pathetic, you don't hit each issue separately you link them together to prove the greater problem. we don't have witnesses we have potential witnesses if they don't talk and they didn't before the story started we have nothing a higher Social could maybe change that by making them willing to talk.

Don't phrase it like it's a separate issue, Hi I called you to help deal with a bio-hazard after the school decided it wasn't a problem. If your looking for people who have a grudge against me Emma Barnes used to be my friend before she turned on me and Sophia Hess just tried to hit me after Emma mentioned a disgusting smell right next to the locker. The other main member madison is more of a minor member like Julia So i'm sure their involved in this but since there popular and i'm not the school doesn't really care about the problem. Also I have a diary at home given that i'm the one writing in it i don't know if it's worth anything but i could go get it for you it has dates and times.

you can use the diary as supporting evidence to get the teachers to talk given that they didn't even want to call the police there main goal will be dodging fault so they might not bring things up but if you bring specific instances up and sound like a student is talking to them it could work to get them to talk.

Legal definition of all that is hearsay.

Do you want to make sure you have a case, or overstretch and destroy your own position by claiming things you cannot support?

Shadow Stalker is already on probation, having ANY case at all wrecks her.

If I'm reading this right, that means that in addition to boosting out rolls, it essentially lowers the number we have to beat? It's obviously not a perfect analogy, since in this quest you have our "oppnent" in social combat rolling as well, rather than just having a flat "must get __ or higher" to successfully accomplish our plan, but It's the best quantitative analysis of the situation I can come up with right now.

because than we don't have a case at all? telling someone she tried to hit me is the exact same as everything else so it's hearsay to, until someone actually talks to the cops we cannot even prove Sophia took a swing at us and as she pratfall without making contact literally know one will care even if she did.

Shadow Stalker is on probation Sophia isn't, unless you prove she's using her powers out of costume her actions as Shadow Stalker won't matter to Sophia at most you'll get a probation officer from the PRT that doesn't care but might up her therapy.

tell be the difference between say the juiced seat in front of everyone and the pratfall in front of everyone and maybe i'll care more right now I just want the legal stuff over with as soon as possible.

We got witnesses to this one, nothing else on the others except our diary. The testimony of the one doing the accusing is...less than effective for obvious reasons.

And since the police are not in the pocket, their own investigations cannot be cockblocked. They're rivals to the PRT for funding. If it's a Ward causing them trouble, oh boy they'd love to put the squeeze on Piggot.

We actually have potential evidence for Shadow Stalker abusing her powers for bullying as Sophia, considering all the times she turned intangible to get into our things or even our locker.

Potential because enough denial can lead to sufficient handwavium for it to pass muster. Evidence because Sophia = Shadow Stalker and there were a lot of suspicious circumstances relating to our bullying and her powers would neatly answer those questions. (This is of course, not taking into account the suspicious staff behavior, giving her free-reign to bully Taylor because she's a cape and a ward, which is abuse of power just the same both from Sophia and the related authorities).

The best part is that if ORG wants to get technical, the BBPD can claim that they aren't going after Shadow Stalker, they're going after Sophia Hess. Admittedly, that requires the kind of legal maneuvering you'd see on certain NBC and CBS shows (aka anything Law and Order or CSI/NCIS), which means it is unlikely to happen in this thread, but a guy can dream, right?

(And yes, I've read Law and Order Brockton Bay, but I want to see more of Sophia getting legally pwned by the cops instead of the PRT!)

Legally speaking, yes, though the charges as Sophia Hess are less bad than the PRT's likely punishment for a parole breaking Shadow Stalker.

Either way it's going to be Interesting.

What A Day

Current vote tally. Also Arc 1 looks like it's going to be bigger than I thought so I might open up perk training soon instead of opening it up in arc 2.

If cops wins, I reserve the right to have most of their investigation off screen. As I honestly don't know cop procedures that well and I only watched Alaska state troopers once in a blue moon but I doubt earth bet cops are like that.
