[X]Tell him about your powers and prove to him that they are real by casting an E-rank spell.
I don't think we want to make a decision on joining the Wards yet, but telling Danny at least, gives us the freedom to work at home freely, and acquire parts freely. We're not Bug Control Taylor who can work on her workshop without physically being there and has no need to raw materials.
We need metal, crystals, electronics, etc to get started.
And of course, all the time wasted dodging around Danny can be used more constructively this way.
That was when I started to realize that I knew terms that I shouldn't know, and I was already starting to list some things in my head I would need to build a basic device to help me calculate and channel mana from my linker core. I estimated that if I had all the resources needed, it would probably take around three days to make one. A week or two for the more complicated devices.
Looks like:
Wards - We can go straight to Intelligent Devices within a week. We might be able to cut that down further if we enlist Kid Win, Dragon and Armsmaster(assuming he pulls his head out of his ass).
Tell Danny - We'd be able to buy parts openly, or use Danny's union contacts to look for places to salvage the parts needed for a Storage or Armed Device in a week or so, allowing for time to acquire the parts and three days open build time.
Don't tell Danny - We'd be spending extra time not working on it to avoid notice, trying to get the parts as a teenager with no income, and generally doing a lot of nothing.

Perk ideas:
-Artificer - Able to make more complex Devices, e.g. transformable modes, cartridge system, Blaster system, etc. Each tier adds to the number of extra features you can fit in.
-Magitechnician - Unlocks the ability to design magitech, though it'd start with magic based versions of normal household technology. Tier increases with the scale.
-Alchemist(req transmutation spells) - Be able to use transmutation effects more efficiently/quickly, allowing for combat use of them, or producing a wider variety of materials(the 'basic' transmutations seem likely to need a new spell for each material). Higher levels unlock magical materials.
-<Spell Category> Expert - Barrier Mage, Bombardment Mage, etc. When casting spells in the category, they can acquire addon effects. E.g. Divine Buster Extended for extra range, Starlight Breaker's Barrier Break feature, Divine Shooter's homing feature, Yunno's Healing Barrier, etc.
