Taylor Hebert & The Celestial Dojo

As someone who went to see Kung Fu Panda in theaters, I would prefer to see Danny trained by Oogway. Also I think Oogway would be better for helping Danny overcome his depression/grief from his wife's death.

But I do admit that I never read Hokuto no Ken so I can't say if Toki would be better.

I would suggest Toki just for the techniques that would be both for heal and damage. Oogway would be amazing but personal I think Danny would do better with Toki because Toki lost nearly everyone. It should help get Danny back into form.

It could be, but what's the trigger (snrk) for someone being able to go "oh, well I'll have that" and yoinking her roll? If it's something she chooses to bestow, that's one thing. If her power arbitrarily decides "oh, this? This isn't for you, even though I'm your power" it's less cool, but if random people can just swipe her power results, it's very much of the not cool.

One of the firefighters in back turned to another one. "A cape who isn't a gloryhound. Am I dreaming?"
She, Ah, doesn't come off as not a glory hound during her interactions with them. She definitely still looks like she's there for glory. Just willing to share.
and require somatic movements and focus.
It's miss militia, she sits up all night reading because she doesn't sleep and she lives in Brockton where the abb are a big deal. She should definitely recognise them as mudras. Probably mistakenly deduce that Taylor is Buddhist.

As for what is next roll, eh, there real fun with celestial x fics is the combos. I can't wait to see Taylor's version of Creation Slaying Oblivion Kick.

She has to decide not to use it. Someone else on her list of confidants who is nearby (scene earlier where Danny had been read in on the ability and was then able to see the pop-up) can then put in for it, and she can veto that if she wants. Planned scene she's still going "huh what" and doesn't veto it and the roll goes to Danny. Haven't written the scene yet, it's just a few notes I had for making this a further divergence from what I've read elsewhere.

Agreed. It might be more accurate to say she's not a glory "hog", rather than not a glory "hound". It could be argued that all capes (but not all parahumans) are glory hounds, dressing up in attention grabbing costumes and performing actions in a very public manner.

Also, a low rating on her assessment is to her benefit. It is the PRT's way of determining the appropriate level of force to use against her if she turns, and a good ninja should always be underestimated.

I would recommend that instead of her power giving it to other close confidants and then her having to veto it. She would get list of confidants whom she may choose to gift it to.

I kind of like the idea of Taylor mentioning a new power as she receives it and Danny saying he thinks it sounds cool. Taylor jokingly offers to give it to him, Danny jokingly agrees, and the Celestial Dojo goes 'Oh, good idea!' Then Danny suddenly finds himself talking to the Magic Kung Fu Therapy Turtle.

I am 100% on board with this idea.

Even better if he starts getting abilities that have seemingly no combat usage, but instead revolve around diplomancy and using words to aid and heal others. XD

It's good to see this idea develop in a more formal way (and get its own thread), and I would almost say different in certain details, if Taylor with the time to practice and learn ninja techniques, and with Kurama charging her battery, already she seems formidable, and not showing everything, if she learns other things it would be incredible, in addition to making more than one in the PRT (and Cauldron) tear their hair out of frustration, especially if Zenko uses the Kuchiyose no Jutsu, to summon Kurama against the Endbringers

Maybe with Gohan being the one in charge of teaching her about Ki; u Tay getting the Spider-Sense (and learning The Way of the Spider) from a version of Peter Parker; in addition, her need to have real friends (who support and not betray her) could be handled in a certain way: since it seems that she will have a great variety/number of of teachers for various skills, abusing the Kage Bunshin, Taylor could be her own team of heroines, with each clone using one of the different skills she learns/acquires (and each clone getting different friends):

- Ninja (Naruto Series - The original Taylor)
- Z Fighter (Dragon Ball Series)
- Spider Hero (Spider-Man, specifically for the Spider/danger sense, since other abilities such as strength or climbing walls, can be easily replicated with Chakra)
- Mad Scientist / Tech Genius (type Girl Genius, Valerie Richards, Gina Diggers, imagine this version of Taylor, sic her version of the Peebos, in E88 or the ABB, or the Machine Army)
- Psychic and Telekinetic (like Jean Grey, mmm, no, better like Emma Frost, whose ideology would be more in line with Taylor's way of being, that and her Diamond form, ideal for defense)

As for a magic user, could be one of the following variants
- Wizard (Harry Potter)
- Magus (Fate Stay Night, styled as Archer or Scathach)
- Mage (with the magic and technology of Nanoha, a Device with a personality similar to that of Vivio's ancestor, Olivia)

In addition to wanting to see how this version of her could ruin Coil's life (with Calvert finding in each line he makes one of the different clones of Taylor, and in the end Danny giving him what he deserves, in the Hokuto no Ken way, and her father happy to being able to take care of her daughter again, as he should), save Dinah Alcott, that and/or if any of her abilities will make her invisible (or a strange blind spot) to Contessa's PoV

Good luck and keep it up

If Danny goes the Kung Fu Panda route, which sounds awesome by the way, I think he should get an anthromorphic animal form out of it! Though, which one I can only give suggestions. A seagull because of the dockworkers and him living his whole life by the ocean. A type of owl, though I associate Annette and Taylor more with that bird type. A crane or heron, might be best because of how tall he is and they both like water.

I think flying is too useful, but a balding sea otter really makes me laugh imagining that!

Can't help but imagine Danny (after being thought Hokuto Shinken) gets confronted by someone like Krieg or Hookwolf and he starts screaming and flexing his muscles causing his suit to burst.

Also Aisha getting lessons from The Boss and Big Boss! Not to mention Taylor getting a Cyborg Ninja suit (like Olga and Sam)!

Can't wait to see more of the story!

The fox form being something like the inuzuka "Man Beast Transformation" or a bloodline is actually a nice way to handle it.
