I know it's not a voting system but I'd love to see Alfred get picked. He already has an established relationship with Taylor and could pick up where Orochi might leave off in Brockton Bay.

Seriously, three phrases:
- Tidying
- Grief counseling through snark
- Spycraft
- Bonus! Possible Bat toys!

Otherwise, this is a romp and I'm excited for the next chapter!

EDIT: OH, dog ideas! Don't forget Courage!

Dogs? I'd pitch in Bat-hound, Wonder Dog and Bolt for "cape" dog companions.

There's also Lassie from multiple media sources.

For something of a less conventional choice, there's also Pickles from Reverse:1999.

There is also Hong Kong Phooey if you want to do martial art using dog. Even if that is loosely related.

Repede from Tales of Vesperia is a capable fighter as well with his own skills called Artes which use magical energy created by a personal magic generator. That and he carries a pipe and a dagger with him.

Courage is a no brainer for emotional support and all the shit he got up to.

Artificer? Can we get a kitsune artificer? there's a kitsune player race in most games with an artificer class right?

Might as well add Courage as well.

I'd love to see Courage. Courage could use a human who loves him and doesn't need to be rescued every other day. Taylor could use an animal companion that's there to be a companion and not just make her a better fighter.

Plus, Courage meeting people like Rachel or Hookwolf would be hilarious.

Honestly when I was writing up the table, I had some specifics in mind. In the case of the dog - it was the Littlest Hobo that first came to mind, though a few of those other suggestions like Good doG had also been a consideration.
Unusually Intelligent Dinosaur was Gon or maybe Devil Dinosaur. Pixie would have been a generic pixie, D&D type though personality-wise more like Toot-toot from Dresden Files. Robot assistant I'd originally thought a Transformer, probably Jetfire or Ratchet.
Senseless Death Rebirth - take any character from a TV series or movie that died before their story could be resolved. Now they've got a chance to resolve those stories. Star Wars Droid is obvious, would have gone with an architect droid or something like the IG-II from The Mandalorian. Magical Girl Companion Animal is a mainly cute fox familiar or small unicorn - something obviously magical. My initial plan for Guardian Spirit had been something like the summons of the Nasuverse (Fate/Stay).

Well, we could go for the absurd...

"It is I, Inari-chan! While my own story is currently on hold, I decided to offer my counsel to another kitsune who may need it!"
(Spirit guide Inari-chan belongs to Grounders10's A Taste of Peaches.)

Instead of the Nasu-verse's version of Tamamo-no-mae, how about the actual Tamamo-no-mae, the repentant queen of the foxes, who knows what not to do? At the very least, high level social skill training...

How dare you weaponise my childhood memories against me like this!

I like this, she'd know most pitfalls canon Taylor would fall into, also the idea of her being an adviser first and a powerful ally second tickles a part of my brain for some reason.

Dogs? Muttley? Snoopy?

So many robots... 'Astro Boy' is you really wanted to go 'old school'... (Or, his sister.)

Or, K9, if you want a robot who is a dog?
