She's a lesbian (rainbow bag, looking at her skirt, the glances). Which will be extremely awkward when Riley, Marie or Shelbie have to let her down due to loving the Major.
It'll be a good friendship, until it crashes and burns.
Well, also, IIRC two of the tacfus are into each other that way (the sniper and her spotter I believe). So Riley is likely to take Rachel 'being close to her sister squaddies' more or less in stride.

True, but this gives Riley a potential frame of reference for Rachel. If Riley clues in on Rachel's feelings toward her, which is probably going to result in some high entertainment value.
[X] Your Green Beret trainers mentioned working with locals as guides and scouts. Tentatively tag her as friendly and follow, focus on the rest of the crowd.
-[X] She seems to know women's clothes. Pump her for info on how to dress to attract someone you like.

=\\TACTICAL WAIFUS QUEST//=
Part 100: RileyQuest
You were trained by Delta Force. You can run a four minute mile than put every seven-six-two round in your rifle's drum through the same ragged hole at a hundred yards shooting weak-side offhand. You can trek an arbitrary distance overland with nothing but a compass and the stars to guide you, and still be fighting fresh at the end of it. You can beat men twice your weight in hand-to-hand combat.
You do not, however, have the slightest idea how to clothe yourself. Well, that's not totally true. You know how to pick the best patterns to conceal yourself, how to secure your gear so you could sprint with catlike silence, how to turn into a ghost of death on the battlefield.
However, right now you didn't want to blend into the background. The Major had spent the night with Marie. Alone! And… yeah, sure, good for Marie. But it meant you were loosing that sliver of a lead you thought you had! If you were going to regain your place as first girl of his heart, you'd need something drastic.
A swimsuit that flattered your figure perfectly was just the ticket. You knew The Major well enough to know he tried his hardest to see you as more than just a collection of curves and a nice piece of ass, but he was still a man. You knew your figure could tempt him all on its own, and to be honest you wouldn't mind if he leered at you just a little more.
The only problem was that you didn't have the slightest idea what kind of swimsuit would flatter your figure. You were in unfamiliar and unfriendly territory. Best to take a book out of the Green Beret playbook and find a local who knew the lay of the land.
"That'd be a great help, actually." You put your hands on your hips, idly swooshing them side to side while you waited. Rachel was shorter than you, and she wasn't quite as fit. Actually, she wasn't close to your level of physical fitness, but you'd come to realize you were kind of an outlier when it came to muscle tone or general athleticism.
Oh, and she also had boobs. Like… actual fleshy boobs that did things. They moved when she moved, hung against her shirt when she bent over, squished when her arm brushed against them. They were soft, and surely malleable in the hand. Boobs you could feel and touch and work.
Not sad vestigial lumps only big enough to make what was missing painfully obvious like yours.
"Wait, really?" Rachel cocked her head.
"Yeah," you said with a quick nod. "I'm not really fashionable."
Rachel looked you over, from your snug hoodie to your short skirt and long stockings. "I… guess with a body like that you don't need to be."
You looked at Hannah for a second. "…thank you?"
"Sorry," Rachel blushed and threw her pack over her shoulder. "It's… I didn't mean to say that out loud, you're just… there's something about you?"
You tensed, ready to pounce on her should the need arise. "Yes?"
"You make me feel safe," said Rachel. "And… like… holy fuck you're hot."
"Uh…" now it was your turn to mumble in confusion.
"Sorry, sorry," Rachel blushed a deeper red. "I'm normally not this forward, but…" she shook her head. "Nevermind, sorry."
"No," you said, putting you hand on her shoulder. "It's okay, I have that effect on people sometimes."
Hannah nodded. It was the quality you were proudest about, you made your girls feel safe and loved when they were around you.
"So," you swooshed your hips inquisitively. "Which way?"
"This way," said Rachel, falling in beside you as your little trio walked the mall. "You're looking for a swimsuit, right?"
You nodded. "Ideally something one-piece." You didn't really want to try and work a bikini in under your armor. That just felt like a recipe for chafing. And to be honest, after that hot-tub eye-candy adventure on Marie's last mission, you really weren't comfortable showing that much skin to anyone but The Major. At least for the time being.
"Ooh, good choice," said Rachel, hanging back a moment to stare at your ass. "Just about everything would be, though," she added. "With those curves."
"Mmm," you beamed at the compliment.
"Maybe a racing suit?" mused Rachel. "Something in blue would be best for you, I think."
You nodded along, but your attention was drawn elsewhere. You weren't an expert on fashion, but you were at least aware enough to know that baggy jeans, a loose hoodie, and scrubby facial hair that was struggling valiantly to pass itself off as a beard wasn't often seen in comparison with what was clearly a high-ticket purse.
Nor was said purse typically sequestered under the aforementioned hoodie in such a way that made it difficult for unobservant passers by to notice.
A generally shifty look did not complete the look well.
You glanced at Hannah, and she nodded back. Thief.

[X] Use your Green Beret training. Cue local forces to the threat and assist as necessary, possibly vector in additional allies should they prove amenable.
-[X] AKA, point and shout loudly and alert security to the purse snatcher.
[X] Sidle up, quick takedown, get the purse away from him as he faceplants, and just in case he's legit bringing it to a girlfriend or something, loudly ask "HEY, IS THIS YOUR PURSE?!" as you hold it up out of reach.
-[X] Hannah scanning for anyone running after him, or looking for a suddenly vanished purse.

Ok, Major Ryan said not to pull out weapons unless we really, really had to, so...
