Just apparently a lot of his trick shots were set up in very ideal situations and ultimately the bow and arrows he used were like light hunting gear instead of heavy war kit. It would be like how on the way back from Concord the Redcoats where constantly harassed by fowling pieces and hunting rifles but only had 73 deaths throughout the entire endeavor.

Or rather good in a different way, being able to keep firing heavy darts one after the other, and in good enough form you don't burn yourself out or wound yourself, is just as much a skill and art as parkour trickshots.

I'd say today might be nice. No need to post any event before RL allow it to do so but it would allow people to start writing some pieces establishing their characters and the likes as well as maybe having IC conversations.
Jorren didn't really get taught a formal fighting style, what he has he picked up by watching his trueborn half-brothers, some things his grandfather told him (mostly that it's fine to play dirty if your life's on the line in a fight) and whatever he could teach himself
Most of his fighting style's quite dirty, mainly lashing out with the chain and trying to strangle people with it, he's of the POV that as long as you win it doesn't matter how

Name: Aeros Celareon, Ser Aeros Reyne, Aeros Vaelaenor, Aeros of Lys, Keen Eye
Age: 38
House: Aeros comes from a Noble House of Lys, House Celaraon. Or at least that is what the man himself prefers to say to anyone who deigns to ask where he hails from or if he is a bastard of some lesser known Targaryen, which he most certainly is not.
In truth however, Aeros currently belongs to House Reyne due to his pact with his old friend Robb, to whom he promised to go and take care of Robb's sister should he ever die. And with time, love did once more blossom in Aeros' life and he ended up getting married for a second time, even if only due to a promise to a dead friend.
Appearance: Aeros is abnormally tall for a Lyseni, so much so that his father suspecter his wife to have had sex with a Lengii. He stands at the impressive height of nearly seven feet and is rather muscular and uses this to his advantage when wielding massive and heavy weapons, as he prefers to.
Personality: Aeros is a scarred and jaded veteran of the First Blackfyre Rebellion, he has been hurt and torn by years of betrayal, war and apathy. He had been a sellsword for more then half of his life, until during The Battle of the Redgrass Field, when he lost his right eye and was forced to abandon his contract to Daemon I Blackfyre and save his friend's life and his own after the rebellious Noble was killed. After this, Aeros became much more subdued about his abilities on the battlefield and soon became the Lord of Castle Castamere.
Biography: Aeros was born to a rich and fairly powerful merchan family in Lys, his mother was a beautiful traditional Lysenese woman by the name of Vysenya while his father was also from Lys, his name was Aeran, they were considered Nobles by most if not all others within the City State itself and as such their children would inherit much. But perhaps to Aeros' advantage or mayhaps disadvantage- depending on how you look at it, he was the secondborn son of the family, the spare in case the firstborn died. His older brother, Daeron learned how to be a proper Lysenese nobleman while Aeros was left to his own devices, at least when he wasn't having to learn many of the same things his brother, he was the spare after all.
Aeros grew to be much taller then his peers from a very young age; for when his brother was 4 and he was three, he already looked like a 6 year old. This caused Aeran to realise his boy's potential in combat and so when Aeros wasn't learning his numbers or how to best charm an opponent in a battle of wits, he was in an actual battle with his personal trainer.
The boy could never truly find himself attached to the style of swordfighting he was taught by his mentor and in open defiance of his father's wishes, commissioned himself a very "Westerosi" weapon, a greatsword. Needless to say his father was not impressed, but after he promised to prove his efficiency with such a weapon compared to a normal sword, his father relented and let the boy prove himself. Aeros bested every opponent of his age class in battle with ease due to his now already intimidating size and graceful speed and his father was impressed. Soon after this, Aeros' old teacher was politely asked to remove himself from their grounds and within a week his father had attained him an older Westerosi knight who had been famous for his proficiency with a greatsword.
By the time Aeros had reached his tenth nameday, he was already getting fairly close to his father's size and was rather mature for his age, perhaps learning the art of killing a man from an experienced and old knight had matured him much too fast. In light of this development a rift began to grow between the two brothers, Aeros and Daeron. Fortunately however, this rift never managed to escalate due to unforeseen events by both of the brothers.
Years prior to the birth of even Daeron, their father had had a dream of expanding his business outside of Lys and with the birth of his first child, a plan was hatched by him.
Aeran would offer the hand of his second child in marriage to whomever he deigned to first start his business with, unfortunately for him however, his second child was not a girl, but a boy. Regardless of this development, he still continued along with the plan.
Not many Nobles from the Free Cities would accept Aeros as the one to cement the deal Aeran offered, so the father had to use his last advantage.
The Noble House of Celareon had clear roots to Old Valyria and so the decision of what free city was clear. Aeran contacted the Nobles of Volantis, specifically those behind the massive obsidian walls, the Old Bloods, those who could trace their roots to Valyria itself and were very proud of this. Of course inbreeding and many other bad habits ran wild behind those walls, so any "new blood" was gladly welcomed, as long as they could trace their roots Old Valyria.
And so a deal was struck between the houses of Celareon of Lys and Vaelaenor of Volantis. The deal was simple, useful and effective for both families; When Aeros would come to the age of fourteen, he would travel to Volantis to act as a buffer between the two families, marry the second daughter of Maevar Vaelaenor and be the pseudo-prisoner to keep the Celareon family in line. In return for all of this, the houses of Vaelaenor and Celareon would work together to combine their shipping businesses and expand together.
By the time Aeros was fourteen, he already looked like a fully grown man, this would benefit him much during his time in Volantis. The deal was good for everyone except Aeros, but he left for Volantis the day after his 14th nameday with no complaints or anger, he had always been dutiful to his family after all.
Within nearly three weeks, Aeros' ship had arrived in Volantis. He was warmly welcomed by his "new family" and soon was introduced to his first wife, Saelora who very much resembled a traditional Lyseni woman, which Aeros was pleasantly surprised by even if in hindsight it should be fairly obvious, considering all of the Old Bloods of Volantis could trace their roots straight to Valyria.
Aeros and Saelora made quick friends of each other, as was hoped of them, even if the marriage was arranged before Aeros was even born. There was no need for them to hate each other and in the years to come Aeros grew to love and confide in his wife-to-be.
Saelora was nineteen years of age when she first met Aeros, the Vaelaenor family wanted heirs as soon as possible. Neither Aeros or Saelora found much problem in this and soon a marriage was arranged for them.
All of both Houses came to the wedding and it was indeed a grand affair.
Through it all, Aeros gritted his teeth and smiled through all of it. It would not be appropriate for him to act badly at his own wedding after. Although soon after this Aeros did indeed smile, Saelora was a kind and experienced woman, who guided Aeros through everything that was needed.
The love soon became a two-way thing and everyone involved was happy with the situation. Aeros was content living richly in Volantis, all the while still keeping his skills in combat as honed as he could. This all changed however when his wife became pregnant with their first and only son, whom they named Maelor.
For nearly six years Aeros and his family enjoyed a calm existance, but the taste of adventure and true fighting had been on his tongue for a long time. This all culminated when the two had a bad argument which ended in Aeros leaving his family and future in Volantis behind, he went on to become a sellsword.
For over a year, he travelled and visited many of the Free Cities, doing all kinds of work, some more morally grey then others. During this time, then man began to notice something about himself: he loved fighting and to a lesser extent killing. This worried Aeros quite a bit, but he knew he could never return to Volantis for he knew that his wife would not take him back.
So he continued doing work until a new opportunity made itself known to him: Going to Westeros. Aeros had dreamed of becoming a knight, like his teacher had been. This dream could now become a reality so he packed all his things and left for Westeros.
He arrived there in the year of 195 and began to wonder the countryside, doing favours for many farmers and any Houses he could find, intent on becoming a knight. Of course, Aeros was unfamiliar with how one could truly become a knight, but nary a few refused his services.
In early 196 AC, he came to the Westerlands still intent on his goal and for once someone promised him exactly what he wanted. This man was the current lord of Castamere, Robb Reyne and the two became fast friends, sharing in their love of combat. Soon however The First Blackfyre Rebellion began and Aeros was dragged into the massive conflict when his friend went to join with Daemon Blackfyre.
At the prompting of his friend, Aeros went to visit the the Blackfyre and offered the man his skills in battle and combat if only the rank of knight would be given to him once they had won the rebellion. Daemon accepted the trade eagerly and so, Aeros had officially joined the rebellion.
He and Robb took part in many a battle and the two gained a fierce reputation as very good combatants on the many fields of the war. So much so that Aeros and his massive sword, the "Beastlord" had started making grown men run from him in fear.
This all ended however with The Battle of the Redgrass Field, where Daemon Blackfyre, his sons and many other men were slain.
In the end, nearly 10 000 men died on that damned field and Aeros only survived due to trying to save his friend Robb from a mortal stab wound in the stomach. Aeros did not survive without taking many men down with him, it is said that he killed nearly a 100 score by himself while dragging his friend to safety, he sustained a blow to his right eye and soon lost it, but in the end he saved himself.
Robb however succumbed to his wound, but not before making Aeros promise to protect his sister Eleana.
Soon after Robb's death Aeros was captured, but under heavy surveillance and pressure he promised to forever serve the true king, Daeron II Targaryen. He was pardoned for his actions once he told the king himself that he was a friend of Robb Reyne and was dragged into the conflict by him.
Many Blackfyre supporters lost their lands and money as punishment for their actions, but the Reyne's had suffered enough in the King's eyes as many of the House's members had died in the war, including the Lord of the House, Robb Reyne.
As soon as the news of Robb's death reached Castamere, his only remaining living relative was made the Lord of House Reyne, Lymond Reyne, his uncle.
Aeros came to Castamere with Robb's final request, the words were believed as Aeros had served them well even before the rebellion as the friend of their old Lord.
The Lyseni remained at Castle Castamere for many a month, being tempted by his want for adventure once more, but he could never break his promise to his friend. So, he served faithfully for years and is eventually made a Knight for his efforts and very soon afterwards was offered the position of fully serving House Reyne as one of their Household Knights.
Suffice to say Aeros accepted this honour with solemn pride and a small amount of happiness, he had achieved his goal. It had taken many sacrifices including his own eye and best friend, but he had attained it. And so for a time Aeros' ambition was sated, until one fated evening almost two years into his service as a knight, he caught the eye of the woman he was ordered to protect. And from that point onwards Robb's younger sister, Eleana began to actively seek the company of Aeros, he did not refuse.
This would simply be another conquest for him, just like his many opponents on the battlefield during the rebellion.
This proved to be wrong however when Eleana only began to grow more and more infatuated with him and Aeros simply could not refuse her orders, no matter how many times she asked or how morally wrong they might be. She reminded him of his wife too much and she was like a drug, it made him addicted to the feel of nostalgia.
Within a few months the two were planning a marriage, Aeros was unsure of the idea of getting married once more, but surprisingly enough, Lymond did not refuse Eleana's wishes.
Soon afterwards the two were getting married and he dared not to question the how and why of the situation and simply accepted it.
Aeros, with the acceptance of Lymond took the Reyne name in hopes of keeping his past away from his future, it would be better for all of them to forget what he used to do and what he was like.
Aeros and Eleana lived as husband and wife for over fourteen years, she always would love him more then he would her, but they did end up having two children, whom they named Teresa and Stefon. Aeros tried to of course raise his children as best he could, but his view on those things was rather jaded.
All of this however ended however when Aeros was invited to the castle "Whitehalls" to attend a Tourney. He was delighted to accept the invite, in hopes of fighting once more. This all however turned out to be a ploy to gather all previous rebellious Lord's together in hopes of starting the second Blackfyre rebellion. Aeros had no interest in taking part, but soon after Lord Brynden Rivers captured the castle, Aeros was named as a supporter of the rebellion once again.
Aeros was soon afterwards sent to the Wall with no trial held as his heir could handle Castle Castamere. No one would listen to his words and it seemed that he would be doomed to spend the rest of his life guarding the Wall.
But, Aeros refuses that. He will provide proof of his non-involvement in the second rebellion or simply escape, there can be no alternative for him.
He will not leave his second family behind, he will not make the same mistake twice.
Weapon of Choice(And fighting style): Aeros wields a massive and powerful two handed greatsword with ease, he straps the weapon to his back when not using it. When he does however deign to use this powerful weapon, he swings it in large arcs with only one hand before using his faster opponent's arrogance to his own advantage: this leads to him switching his hold on the weapon to a two handed grip which he uses to amass much more control over the massive weapon, far more then his opponents might think. Aeros has taken to calling this weapon, "Beastlord" due to how quickly it kills any agressive and bestial enemies he encounters on his travels.
Aeros does also use a much smaller broadsword, at least when compared to his massive size. He uses this weapon to try and finish off any opponents he hasn't already with his greatsword.
Personal belongings: Beastlord, A precious silver necklace belonging to his first wife from Volantis, it is decorated with beautiful illustrations of many flowers only native to Lys, A fairly large and thin broadsword, it is worn due to countless battles, cured leather made into a sturdy but light set of leather armour, a set of plate mail.
Hey guy sorry for the wait I've recently gotten pretty ill but it will pass soon I am sure. I will try and get the first post out and everything you fine folks need to get roleplaying, on at the latest monday. Really, apologies, and this came really right out of the blue after the thread started. I just need some actual rest, seriously sorry about it <3
Hey guy so I got the first post up, I have a serious headache but it is getting better. I will finish the Castle descriptions and the entire cast tomorrow. But as of now you can write your entrances and give your characters initial thoughts on being interred into the Watch.

For everyone who would like a bit more info on the state of Westeros during our era, I find Attewell has made a solid job at using the few things we know of canon to paint as complete a portrait of the Blackfire Rebellions possible without simply coming up with stuff
Figured since most of the players posted I'd write something up, I'll usually do this, but what I will also do, is add in anything that is posted after but meant to be before chronologically. So @See my smile if you'll post jaze's first thoughts of the watch I'll have Jack give back his report for you to dialogue off of!
