A question: you said, that for anything impressive we have a 20 feet limit. As we change the gravity between two objects, doeas this mean that both objects have to be in 20 feet to us, or is it enough if only one is?

Or do they just have to be within 20 feet to each other, but not us?

Our character noted a possibility of strengthening the tie between the mothership and the Earth's core as something doable. Given that the Mother ship is more than 40 feet away from the Earth's core, we can almost certainly conclude that this is not the case. Given that it's flying over New York, there's no way it's even 20 feet from the Earth's Surface.

[x] throw aliens off the saucers by making them repel each other. Make ships attract each other.
Our power is much more useful on smaller scale. Others have powers that scale better.
Disarming the aliens and depopulating the saucers should be easy for us and hard for them.
[x] See if we can commandeer some of those shields. We are squishy versus energy-weapons.
