Seeing the lack of response you sigh. "No one else is going to say it then? Fine. Darkseid. We have a year before he attacks Earth, maybe more depending on how Oa does against him at the Great Attractor."
Long snorts, it manifests as a small jet of flame. "I thought your 'Green Light' was supposed to be the strongest thing in the Universe, Lantern. How is Darkseid beating your bosses, is he painting his armies yellow?"
The Green Lantern lays his hands on the table, looking at Long. "At a certain level of technical sophistication it becomes possible to attack Lightwielders obliquely. Attacking the mechanisms we use to tap, store, and manipulate the Light, rather than the light itself."
"The Anti-Life Equation." Batman interjects before correcting himself, "No, that would be for all seven colors, not just Green."
Of course. It's obvious now that Batman's said it. The Emotional Spectrum is pivotal in the psychology of every sapient species. If there was a way to cut someone off from it completely, they would either die on the spot or become an empty puppet, devoid of internal motivation, able to be ordered about by anybody.
Green Lantern nods, "Correct Batman. Darkseid's countermeasures are not reliable. They work rarely, one time in ten thousand, if that, but when Darkseid's fleets are using ten million of them at a time... Well, it's effective enough to make it a fight. And yes, he's painting his armies yellow."
"There are four of you here on Earth." Sentai Aka noted, "I am given to understand that is an unusually high number. If this war at the Great Attractor is so important, shouldn't some of you have been recalled to reinforce them there?"
Green Lantern looks at the leader of Japan's monster fighting team, "Our orders are to remain on Earth."
Captain Marvel slams his hand onto the table with a resounding BANG. "We are digressing. We should be talking about how to prepare Superman for his duel, not interrogating our friends."
"Do you think you will win?" Lung asked.
"I don't know, I've never really cut loose before, and Darkseid's power varies with how much of himself he's investing in the Avatar. It could go either way." You answer.
"There has to be some way to prepare. Weapons, training, some sort of power up maybe?" Spiderman responds.
"Hmm," Batman says, "Give me a few days and I may be able to set up a training room, and a training regime."
Probably just an indoor Gym with red sunlamps for lights. You can tell the others are staring at Bruce incredulously from their posture though. Show off.
"Are weapons, or gear, even allowed in the duel?" Queries Captain Marvel. "We need to find out what the rules are."
"If there are any ways to augment your powers, you should take them Superman." Aka affirms, "Darkseid cannot be allowed to win."
You consider carefully. Obviously you should pursue all three options, and any others that come to mind later, but how will you prioritize them?
[] List the three in the order of your prioritization. Feel free to add new options for Superman to consider.
