checks if there are still 18 unclaimed heroes
Yeah, there's room. There's technically enough for three more people after you, too. I'm sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. Tell you what, since you asked yesterday, if you get it in in the next ∼twelve hours I'll include you in today's events. Then you'll only have missed two weeks.
Please tell me a) the ground rules b) where to post that and I gladly oblige, Xavier?Event 1: Tighten became a Red Lantern and tried to assassinate the mayor of Metro City. Brawn 3, Strategist 2. (Day)
@ZirconiumX 's and @tankdrop24 's day teams failed to adequately contain the problem. Ron Stoppable, Frozone, and Billy Batson were injured.
@Xavier Bronze gets one Win, with twelve total in the requisite categories.
Event 2: The Utrom Ch'rell revived Volthoom and loosed him in orbit above New York. Artillery 2, Energy 4, Strategist 1. (Space)
The problem was handled without issue. No heroes were injured.
@Navarque gets one Win, with 14 total in the requisite categories.
Event 3: Darkseid invaded Hell and turned The Demon Constantine into a New God. Energy 2, Strategist 3. (Space)
@Navarque 's, @tankdrop24 's, and @Xavier Bronze 's space teams failed to adequately contain the problem. Hawkman, Lion, Yondu, Danny Phantom, Captain Atom, and John Stewart were injured.
@ZirconiumX gets one Win, with twelve total in the requisite categories.
Event 4: Brainiac attacked the Inhuman city of Attilan on the moon. Artillery 2, Speed 2, Energy 1. (Space)
@Navarque 's space team failed to adequately contain the problem. Doctor Fate was injured.
@Navarque gets one Win, with 15 total in the requisite categories.
Black Canary, Question, Jessica Cruz, Wonder Girl, Buttercup, Flicker, Kim Possible, Rorschach, Black Panther, and Megamind all recovered from last week's injuries and are once again ready for assignment.
You know the drill by now. Next wave of events comes next Monday(ish). Try to get your substitutions posted before or on Sunday. If you update on Monday, I can't promise I won't have already calculated the week's results, and your new lineups may not get considered.
@Sailor Midgard Sorry you didn't get in in time for this week. If you're still interested, try to get your full draft and shift assignments posted by Saturday, so we have time to work out any errors or misunderstandings.
Please tell me a) the ground rules b) where to post that and I gladly oblige, Xavier?
I mean, it can not simply be "pick x number of meta humans, assign them to three squads and react on the prompts?" Or is it? And, uh, even then , WHERE do I post it?
Here's the character list.
Each hero is ranked 0-5 in Artillery, Brawn, Speed, Strike, Energy, and Strategist. They get a minimum of 4 points total, and at maximum 8, so while they're not all equal, they're a lot more equal than they proportionally should be. You should draft 18 heroes. Players can trade with each other. Both players involved have to agree to the trade, and that's pretty much the only restriction on trading (although I reserve the right to change that).
Next, separate your heroes into three teams. One team of three, one team of four, and one team of five. Then assign these teams to any of three shifts. A day shift, a night shift, and a space shift. Some heroes have restrictions on which shifts they can occupy. Batman can't breathe in space. Peter Parker can't stay up all night.
Every week, on a given day, four random "events" are revealed. Each event happens on a specific shift, and requires a certain cumulative team ranking in one or more categories. The team that has the biggest advantage in the target categories for each event is given a "win". Any teams that fell below the scores required by the event get two of their heroes injured so that they can't be used in the next week's events.
Every player also gets three Mercenary contracts. (So far, none of these have been used yet.) These can be redeemed at any time to hire a non-hero "Mercenary" character to include in one of your teams for the next week. How and when you use your contracts is up to you. You can even trade them away. But each individual Mercenary will only accept one contract in the 12 week season. First come, first serve. So Deadpool can only be hired once, by the first person who claims him. Mercs rank 8 or 9 total points, so they're slightly stronger than equivalently-powered heroes.
At the end of 12 weeks of events, the player who has earned the most "wins" across all three of their teams, wins.
You can check the first page of this thread for two weeks worth of examples on how things work if you want. I'll tell you if you break the rules, accidentally or otherwise.
General inquiry...
Nobody has really been using the mercenary contracts.
I have the following heroes on my bench:
Daredevil 0-0-1-4-0-2 =7 blind justice - strike specialist
Wonder Woman 0-3-1-2-0-0 =6 good generalist - her hotness of the IDF & Themyscira
Green Arrow 4-0-0-2-0-0 =6 artillerist works day & night
Stephen Universe 0-1-0-0-2-2 =5 space strategy!
And I'd be willing to give up one of these for two of your three mercenary contracts. So that's nine weeks having a six or seven in the lineup exchanged for two weeks of a merc.... and there's some cool heroes in there..
Anybody interested?
Skunk
I take Diana ANYTIME. Oh, would that limit my team size, @Xavier Bronze ? Otherwise, my teams are ready.... and rather wonky., I fear.
Roger. Expect it in four the latest.Trades don't count toward the 18 hero limit, just the draft. Skunk offered the trade, so you can have Wonder Woman in addition to your full draft if you're willing to give up two Merc contracts for it. And if your draft is done, you should post it. You can always change shift assignments later.
You could call in a merc.@Xavier Bronze So, what happens if I don't have enough Space capable people to form a full team? Do they take a week off? Do I need to trade?
