Suffer Not the Witch (Warhammer 40k Psyker Quest)

I don't suppose we can tell the others.. without heading for the gun decks?

yah it was great writing and made me like the eldar too cause she was willing to concede a point and all and have a intelligent discussion with us it was nice, kind of leaning toward just having us and eldar go, to quickly deal with it and cause small number can sneak in more quickly and get out quickly
[] Head for the Gun Decks. This is a diversion from the bridge, and may well be some manner of trap or danger, but can you really leave it to chance?
-[] Go almost alone. Sidhe won't let you wander off alone, and between your gifts and her stealth, it should be fairly simple to confirm the truth or falsity of the warning.
Do you think it'd be fine to tell her about the daemon voice, or no?

[X] Confess to Sidhe - she may be young for her species, but Sidhe is still likely to know something.

No idea if this is valid, but as she is right there.

There seems to be an interesting rapport here. Good to build up trust with more than one of our fellow escapees.

That is theoretically a viable write-in vote, though I'd be curious what your desired end goal is in that case?
So that we could all make up our minds on what to do with minimal informational gaps, I mean if some these guys end up dying because we didn't share something that needed to be shared it woul make things way harder for everyone else left alive.

I think we should tell all of them, and let them know we'll be scouting the area just to confirm the threat.

[] Confide in Ciro. Tell the angel what you have heard, and let him make the decision. You can trust him.

I'm interested in his reaction, not so much in tactical advantage. I'm interested in the others' reactions too, but a private meeting would elicit a more authentic response - and we know Sidhe would just follow us while making snippy remarks, while Nadia and Hephastius, well, you know.

Hmm. Ok this is worth expanding on here, I think.

So, point one - a vote to go and tell everyone else in the group what happened is a viable write in. However, if you vote for this, there will be no second vote on what to do next - it will be decided by group consensus among the NPCs, which probably means that Ciro will be the one to decide, as he's a very assertive person and so far everyone else has been content to follow his lead or at least not directly oppose him. Or maybe Nadia, since she's got a bunch more cachet from getting the Carrion on-side and that changes the power dynamics a bit.

To put it another way... "Ignore the daemon but tell everyone it tried to contact you" is a viable vote. "Tell everyone what happened, get their responses and then hold another vote on what to do next" is not, because these people don't work for you. If you tell them, the decision on what to do isn't in your hands anymore.

On a broader level, it is entirely possible to use votes (and especially write-in options) to push Vincenzo towards being the kind of person who always makes sure to collect the maximum possible amount of information about a given dilemma before committing, including getting the perspectives of others involved. It is worth pointing out, however, that this is a strong character statement by itself - it makes Vincenzo a calmer, more contemplative person who may very well miss opportunities or let others take the lead because he's reluctant to make snap judgements or roll the dice on a 'maybe'.

[X] Do Nothing. Whispers from a daemon? Nobody has ever, in the history of the galaxy, ended up in a better place because they listened when a daemon whispered in their mind. Ignore it, and act as you would have if it never happened.

Uhhh ... Can we consult the daemonologist ? I mean Nadia should know some daemonic modus operandi if she was summoning them? And anyway, walking off without warning seems like a dick move.

- [X] Get the others. You will need to tell them and perhaps the Carrion of your source and reasoning, but to go alone would be folly

Same sort of answer to the above - you can, and your vote is the correct way to support doing so, but doing so inherently means that Nadia gets some input on what happens next beyond the remit of a quest vote.

And of course there's a certain, I guess character or plot element to sitting down with Lady Black for a lesson in Demonology 101 because you know she summons them and you find yourself needing/wanting that knowledge. It's absolutely there as an option, but its also a pretty major step to take.

Changing my vote.

I get the reasoning behind the winning vote, but it feels like we're being to afraid to commit. Going it (almost) alone is ceding initiative to the other side; we're still there to potentially get caught in the radius of whatever this is while also being to weak to actually deal with it.
