So long as it makes sense it should be fine. My problem is that people try to balance stands by adding more stands or letting non stand users see them because they use some sort of soul related power when they dont need to. As I said earlier, shonen series tend to have characters who are stronger than stands. The only thing stands have going for them in those cases are their intangible and have some sort of power. Creativity can negate that.

Honestly, I find the idea that people would make Stands visible... weird. I only fairly recently got into JoJo, but the Authors Notes explicitly talk about how they're a visualization of Psychic Powers.
In other words, Star Platinum is giving a form- and thus consistent limits and a visual representation- to telekinesis. Avdol's Magician Red is pretty bluntly pyrokinesis, Purple Heirophant is far-seeing etc, and so on. They get more creative with the later ones, but the fundamental fact is they're the kind of powers that aren't normally given clear, consistent rules, not "basically Pokémon/Digimon/Summons/Whatever".

And thats exactly my problem! Stands are psionic in nature, not spiritual! Yet characters from RWBY can see stands because their aura is part of their soul, or soul reapers from Bleach can see stands because they're a person's fighting "Spirit."
Which is to be expected. Hell, we just kicked Shinji into the car from a couple feet away, making Misato think he flew in. I think its safe to say people will start thinking Shinji's being haunted by a poltergeist or something.

Technically, we're a Soul with a psychic 'shell' instead of a physical 'shell', but yeah.

...I guess that means we would be the exception. Now I expect something to happen with the EVAs, since they interact with the rider's soul.
Also, I just noticed this... I think you meant Hermit Purple, which has scrying abilities. Heirophant Green is Kakyoin's stand, but there is no Purple Heirophant in JoJo.

Wait a minute...Stands could be considered to be extensions of the soul...which means that we can speak to Shinji's mom?! I don't know what her state of mind would be at the moment, but judging by Eva-01's beserk mode it can't be anything healthy. Being unable to feel anything or speak to anyone would do that to a person.
Also, kind of wish we were Asuka's Stand just so we could tell her that her mom still loves her.

If that's the case, does that also mean that we could erase Shinji's mom's soul all together by「THE HAND」ing her? Could we do that to any other people's souls? I vote we start erasing people's souls, just because we can.
Also, if we can erase anything, why don't we just erase Lilith entirely? No Lilith, no means of attracting angels, no means of causing Instrumentality.

Desperately, you wave your hand through the air, trying to coax something, anything out. With every desperate swipe, something began to build up in your hand, growing as the shockwave approached. For some reason, it didn't seem to be moving as fast as it should...
Finally, just before the wave was about to hit the road, a heatless green flame formed in your palm, right between the two bumps. Hastily, you shot over the car and dragged it through the air, forming a curved, refracting green cylinder between the car and the blastwave that was about to strike. Work, work, WORK!
The wave....bent, passing over and around the car without, you know, actually interacting with it, to the surprise of the people in the car. Shinji and Misato st there, blinking for a bit, before the kid broke the silence. "Um, what was that?"
"That was my power," You answer with no small amount of pride. "I can scrape away things, remember? I just scraped away the air between us and the shockwave, preventing it from hitting us! ... I think."
Shinji couldn't repress a snort at that, which caused Misato to glance at him. "That... something funny, kid?"
"No, just... the stress getting to me, I think. We should keep going," Shinji quickly replied.

One harrowing car ride for Shinji later(and air drag for us), and you were in Terminal Dogma. The sciency looking chick - Rikutso, right? - had been giving Shinji the guided tour through the place, talking about things that lost your interest really quickly.

Sure can. I, as I said before, am The Hand. Odd. Your real name wasn't coming to you. Ah well, probably not important. And Stands, well, that is complicated.
What I said earlier still applies; Stands are, at their most basic, a reflection of your soul and fighting spirit. And before you ask, you intercept Shinji's question, I'm pretty sure ⌈fighting spirit⌋ is basically the will to live.
Stands will protect their users, like a guardian. That's where the name ⌈Stand⌋ comes from; spiritual guardians that ⌈Stand By⌋ people, protecting them against danger and hardships. People usually can only have one Stand at a time, though there is an instance where one kid had two Stands at a time. It was complicated.
Now, if a Stand gets damaged, the Stand user will as well. For example, if I somehow got a leg chopped off, you would lose a leg as well. You hopefully won't have to worry about that, as I'm pretty durable for a Stand, but it is something to keep in mind. Another, extremely important thing is that Stands can only be seen by other Stand users. So don't go around mentioning me to everyone, as they won't be able to see me.
I wasn't, Shinji mentally grumbled.

Now, Stands can only take damage from other Stands, so you won't have to worry about that. something more important to us right now is range; The more powerful the Stand, the less range they have. I'm pretty powerful, so I can only go around ten meters away from you before I can't go farther.

...Yeah. MOVING ON, each individual Stand has powers beyond... well, being a punch ghost. Like my ⌈scraping⌋, or Star Platinum's Time Stop.

Really famous Stand. Another thing is the categories of Stands. Physically, one can usually divide them into five groups; Natural Humanoid, Artificial Humanoid, Natural Non-Humanoid, Artificial Non-Humanoid, and Other. I'm an Artificial Humanoid Stand.

Shush. So, design wise, one can divide Stands into six categories: Spirit, Object, Ability, Autonomous, Combined, and Evolved.
Spirit: The most common type of Stand, which is an intangible spectre that typically wields a humanoid form or is in the general shape of the user. However, this is not always the case.
Object: A Stand that can only act through a physical, tangible medium. These are most often bound to individual objects to be used by their owner, such as a book or sand.
Ability: A Stand that has no shape or form of its own, but manifests as an ability that the owner may wield.
Autonomous: A Stand that is relatively or completely independent of its owner. May enact general orders or suggestions from their owner without strictly following commands or can interpret such orders in their own manner. Some are entirely impossible for the user to control, possessing a will of their own. In most cases, damage inflicted on the Stand is not transferred to the user.
Combined: Stands that have merged their abilities with other Stands, forming a collective of Stands and/or sub-Stands under a single person's possession.
Evolved: Stands that have the inherent ability to evolve or progress/regress through multiple stages. Unlike Combined Stands, Evolved Stands can only access certain abilities when in specific forms. A Stand that has evolved into a "Requiem Stand" by piercing the owner with an arrow loses most or all of its previous abilities and is incapable of reverting to its original form. "ACT Stands" may change between their various stages either at will or when a specific condition has been satisfied.
I'm pretty sure I'm a Spirit slash Autonomous Stand, since you aren't actively giving me commands. Do you understand what I've told you?

You had to admit, seeing the thing in real life was actually kind of terrifying, though still awesome. The creature's terrifying visage seemed to snarl at you, while Miss Sciency Lady kept babbling on about last lines of defense or something like that. You continued to tune out this entire conversation, including Shinji's protestations. Seriously, something interesting would be nice...
