Stand Proud and Make Yourself a Legend [Evangelion/JJBA]

Now that I think about it, all the Eva Pilots would be able to use Hamon to some degree once they go through enough Angel fights.
So Asuka is able to use it now because of military training trauma? Then what about Rei... was she just not there? She's been through lots of trauma what with the clone pods and Gendo abuse. I'm gonna go with that as the reason.

Asuka started her Hamon training with Zeppeli when she was super young while Rei didn't have someone to teach her. My headcanon about Hamon is that the practitioners keep to themselves and don't just set up dojos like with karate.
Edit: Ok, maybe only somewhat secretive.

*sigh* As has been stated before, anyone can learn Hamon, but only a rare few can do anything more than the bare minimum with it. Zeppeli tried to unlock Speedwagon's ability to use a small amount of Hamon, but his strike missed the right spot.

"Kawajiri is driving Rei and Mari there.

Is that you, Hayato?

It's been ages since I've watched/read Phantom Blood, and the JoJo wiki isn't that clear on some stuff.

NERV hires a lot of people. ;)

Quick announcement: My exams start this Friday, which means I won't have the next chapter out until after Christmas at the earliest.

So I think I have an idea on where the next chapter will go, and it doesn't involve Angels.

"So why did you call us here, Soryu?" Shinji asked as he and Rei stepped into the school's computer lab. "You sure freaked out in the class chat room."

"Just log in, Third Child." Asuka replied flatly. "Go check your bank account and tell me what you see. Same goes for you, First."

"Is this some kind of prank you learned in Germany?" Shinji raised an eyebrow. "Why the hell do I need to tell you how much money I have?"

"Verdammit, Ikari! My bank account got drained! No Yens, no Deutschmarks, nothing!" Asuka yelled angrily, making the other two pilots jump back and the rest students turn their heads towards Asuka. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, Shinji and Rei logged in and checked their own banking information. In a matter of moments, Shinji slowly turned his head, his face drained of any color.

"No...that's not possible." Shinji said slowly and in a mix of sadness and anger. "I have no money either. Some asshole stole all of it."

"Same with me." Rei said in her usual emotionless tone. "I do not have enough funding for subsistence."

"Come closer, guys." Asuka motioned towards the other pilots and wrapped them in a huddle. "It seems like someone or something is specifically targeting Eva Pilots. Angels would hate us the most, but they don't need money. Tell me, did you two run into anyone suspicious recently or bought anything from a sketchy store?"

"Not me." Shinji said while Rei made a similar conclusion.

"So, we didn't have run-ins with criminals, then. That leaves only one conclusion..." Asuka continued. "This must be the work of an enemy Stand!"

I bet you the name of the Stand is 'Money for Nothing'.

Just a couple of quick announcements:
1) After some careful consideration, I decided to change the story's title to better reflect it's nature as a crossover.
2) On FanFiction, I will put all "Little x in y" snippets in a separate story that will be updated alongside the main story. Not sure how I'll approach this on SV.

Okay, give it to us straight. What is the likelihood of one of the protagonists completing The Path To Heaven?

Hi everyone, sorry about the radio silence. The workload for this semester is heavier than I thought. The fact that this is my last semester also ups the pressure. I'll try to have the next chapter out before April.

OP here. Don't worry, I'm still alive. With my exams finishing soon, I can finally get back to working on this fic. Here's a teaser.

While Shinji and Asuka were arguing and trying to help her settle into her new apartment, Gyro Zeppeli was busy with a phone call to NERV's Italian sub-branch.

"The line is secure, boss. We can talk freely."

"Yes, sir. The Second Child and I have arrived in Tokyo-3 safely."

"Don't worry, sir. Her first operation was a great success."

"Of course, sir. She managed to take out two Angels in one go."

"I'll keep Asuka safe, sir. She is my niece after all."

"Understood, Director Giovanna. Morte Alla SEELE."

This sounds pretty weird, but if the hospital scene from EoE (im sorry) happens in your fic, How would you write it?

But still, How would you possibly write that?
Hmm...probably something along the lines of Shinji and Josuke (he's a doctor, remember?) visiting Asuka. Shinji and Asuka's relationship would have developed along the lines of something similar to Joseph and Caesar. It'll be one of Josuke's more serious moments, while Shinji is more calm than in EoE, but still on the verge of breaking down. Josuke does his checkups while Shinji is having a one-sided conversation while sounding increasingly desperate. Some accident happens, and Asuka's shirt gets ripped open by accident, only to get fixed by Crazy Diamond. Josuke comforts Shinji, and the two leave after Shinji leaves some flowers and a note by her bedside.

Interlude 1
A/N: OP Here. I'm terribly sorry for not updating the fic in over a year. The truth is that school and life in general went south at the end of 2016, and I spent the past year trying to sort out all kinds of personal and academic issues. Unfortunately, something had to give, and I put my writing on the backburner. I'm currently doing my last university course online and will be done after the new year. I appreciate the readers who are still following this fic, and I promise to have a new chapter out by mid-February at the latest. In the mean time, here's an interlude. I've also had plenty of time to think things over and retool some of the behind-the-scenes stuff regarding the plot.

The American Ambassador to the UN was seriously getting on Gendo Ikari's nerves. For the past week, he had been pestering Gendo about preparing NERV HQ for a visit by President Valentine. The President was scheduled to visit Japan in November, and he decided he wanted to add an extra stop to the trip before he left the country. Despite Gendo's repeated refusal, the ambassador kept calling him. Even SEELE told Gendo to sort the issue out himself instead of helping him. The day after the double Angel attack and Asuka's first battle, Gendo's phone ran again.

"Sir, this is a request for a conference call." The operator told him. "It's the…"

"Let me guess, the American Ambassador." Gendo sighed. "I'll be there shortly."

Gendo mumbled complaints as he got up and walked to the large conference table in his office. With the press of a button, the holographic projector in the middle of the table turned on.

"All right, let's get this over with, Mr. Ambassador." Gendo said. "For the…"

Two holograms appeared, but none of them were who Gendo was expecting. The first hologram was a young Asian woman wearing a business suit. While the second hologram was a tall, well-built man with long blonde hair wearing a white suit. It was the President of the United States himself, Funny Valentine.

"Commander Ikari. My envoy told me that your facility is incapable of hosting a presidential visit. I'm making this call today to personally clear some things up. This is a simple courtesy visit, not an audit." The young woman said in Japanese while President Valentine spoke in English. "I appreciate the work your organization is doing and believe the visit would be a great boost to personnel morale at NERV."

"Mr. President, I appreciate your attention to our work." Gendo said. "But as I've stated to your envoy, NERV is constantly on alert for the Angel threat and therefore cannot afford any disruptions."

"That's not too much of an issue, Commander Ikari. The safety of myself and my personnel will be handled from my end." President Valentine's interpreter translated from English to Japanese. "I don't expect a VIP treatment nor a demonstration of the Eva units in action, just a quick tour of the facility and a chance to address the pilots. The visit will last a few hours at most, and we have no intention of staying overnight."

"I hope you understand that NERV isn't designed to handle dignitaries." Gendo said, hands still clasped in front of his mouth. "The interiors are quite spartan. I wouldn't want to disappoint a man of your status with how barebones everything is."

Silence filled the room for a few seconds, and Gendo was starting to wonder if there's a malfunction before Valentine spoke again.

"You can leave now." The President told his interpreter in English. "Go take a break." The young woman's hologram flickered out of existence. Then, Funny Valentine turned his attention to Gendo Ikari and addressed him in accented but fluent Japanese.

"Mr. Ikari, I find your attempt to patronize me to be extremely insulting. While my political peers and rivals were busy sucking dicks and stabbing backs in Congress, I was guaranteeing America's national security as Case Officer of the Central Intelligence Agency." Valentine said in a calm and deliberate tone. "I served in more miserable shitholes than you can point out on a map, so I don't give a rat's ass about your facility's 'spartan' interiors."

"Mr. President..." Gendo tried to speak, only to be interrupted by Valentine.

"So far, you have failed to provide myself and my representative a single good reason why I shouldn't visit NERV. It's almost like you're trying to hide something, or maybe there's no actual work for me to see." Valentine continued speaking calmly, but the edge behind his voice was clear. "If you truly believe I would waste my time with this visit, then I believe I would be wasting American taxpayer dollars by funding your organization. I'm sure other UN member states have enough money to pony up in my country's absence."

As much as Gendo fought it, his hands were starting to shake, and he slowly grinded his teeth behind closed lips. As much as he didn't want to risk Valentine finding out a little too much about NERV's true nature, losing American funding would be catastrophic for NERV operations. After a few seconds, Gendo slowly took off his glasses and spoke.

"Very well, Mr. President." Gendo said. "I see no reason to refuse your visit in November. It will provide ample time for my staff to prepare the facility for your arrival."

"I'm glad we came to an understanding, Commander Ikari. I look forward to meeting you in person." Valentine said before his hologram disappeared.

After logging off, Funny Valentine rubbed his nose and leaned back in his chair. Now that the visit had been scheduled, he could focus on the million other things on his plate. The President then stood up, stretched his legs, and walked back to the Oval Office.
