Do we even have that stuff set up for this character yet?
Since when has that ever stopped anyone? :p

[X] briefly consider why you have a tentaclebat. How the hell did you get that, anyways.
[X] begin clearing space for the thingies that have to be placed down, or scout good places for them
[X] consider the fourth wall- no not that literal one.

Prologue 4 Part 4

Eh? You look at your tentaclebat PENETRATOR. Oh, this thing? You got it as a gift from your good friend, Leon, actually. He always does give the best gifts, and had apparently been playing some game that had it as an item at the time. You played one of the games in the series for fun a couple times, but at the moment, you don't happen to remember the title of it. You might actually have it around er….somewhere.

You put away your PENETRATOR, and look around your messy room. Speaking of...this place is a mess, and you need to spiff it up for when RE connects as your server!

Hopping out of your chair, you find it's fairly simple to make things look tidy. You gather your books properly this time, and fill your boxes, before stacking them up to take up less room. Then you fold your futon up into it's couch form. After looking at the rest of the mess, you put away some of the clothes, and shove the rest under your futon. Really, most of your mess is made of books and clothes.

Ok, so, it's not really cleaning but its CLEAR, right?

As you put away the cardboard sign and markers, also under your futon, you begin to think about... 4th walls? You look around your room, which one would be considered-? Ok not really. You contemplate the fourth wall, and your role/name of FOURTH WALLDESTROYER.

You suppose some might find what you did creepy or something, but it's not like you can properly communicate to whatever power is watching you. You just happened to know when they would start watching you, and acted on it. It's kind of what you imagine might be going on with your friends' perceptions of you. You aren't a psychic. You just happen to know snips and tidbits that you've been gathering from some weird clouds for some time now. Some of the things make sense, some of them don't. And when something happens, and you know something else about what may happen, you act on it.

In fact, the only thing you have an actually decent concept of is timing. Timing, and some of the mechanics of the game SBURB, which you've gathered from the darn clouds. And, once you enter the game, a lot less of those things are going to be useful, because there will e so many variables that you can't be sure you'll understand which events are just possible, and which ones are actually going to come to pass.

No doubt a real tricky conundrum, considering that for a long time now, you've accidently painted yourself as the mysterious oracle type because you couldn't tell your friends 'hey, there's a game that's going to come around that can modify reality and destroy the earth and I'm going to have you play it so we don't die'. Yeah, that'd go down REAL smooth a couple years ago. As it is, there's enough chaos going on with it happening right NOW.

Well anyways, you should probably GET ON WITH IT.

XD Im not actually impatient with this, but it is a homestuck thing...also note that even if you leave this pov, BP will GET ON WITH IT in the background, mostly just cleaning the house.

[x] Get on with it then.
-[x] Specifically with the cleaning, get on with some messaging too, get in touch with RE and see what's up with them.

...I actually have to veto this. If this were to win, there'd be very little progress made next update (except maybe annoying RE by pestering her right after saying you'd leave her alone to get some things done) and you'd be right back to this spot, with a cleaner house.

How about this.

[x] Where's your SBURB disk? You should go get that set up and installed soon right?

I may...return to this in about 3-4 hours, or tomorrow. Don't know yet, but I wanna get to it soon-ish

- Where's your SBURB disk? You should go get that set up and installed soon right?

Yes!

Oh, yes...you should definitely get sburb installed! How silly, you've spent so much time trying to make sure all your friends had sburb going that you yourself forget to get any of it set up.

...and you just told Coraline to install her server disk too.

You sit back down and pull out the two disks, slipping in the Server disk first, since you needed to first get Alex into the game.

Luckily, your shitty computer decides to cooperate with you today, and starts loading the disk up. While that's loading, you get back to idly cleaning, this time heading to the living room. Here it turns from messy anime stuff to messy electronic stuff. Though not as crowded as the basement downstairs, there are multiple signs of your dad's presence.

There's his computer set up in the corner. His little work desk with wires, chips, minor tools, and a drone and its controller in another corner. Another computer (along with the gun rack where your bow and arrow set reside (not that you were ever good at it) on the corner to your left, and in the final corner, between the door to the kitchen and his room is a table with a little growing set up where you are currently growing some parsley in half a milk jug.

There's not too much cleaning you feel you can do out here but you do some spiffing up. Most of the tables end up cleared off and some of the work moved to the basement. As you clean, you consider the game moving forwards. You imagine you'll probably stick mostly to the backlines, exploring mostly around your base unless motivated. SP will likely be the one to go out and grind on a bunch of monsters. He'll learn how to fight them. RR tends to collect information before doing things.... You're not sure what RE will do. Actually, you're not sure what any of you will do, since you've come to the conclusion that some of the things in the clouds just could never happen in this timeline....as far as you know anyways...

Hmm...

Not a lot of room in your apartment...You might have to ask RE to put some stuff in the back yard.

[x] Grab your Bow and Arrow and give it some test pulls to make sure you don't accidentally break it
[x] That disk will probably take a bit, maybe you could have a nap while you wait?

Prologue 4 Part 6
- That disk will probably take a bit, maybe you could have a nap while you wait?
- Consider the clouds

After cleaning to your satisfaction, though still worried about space, you head over to your computer to check on SBURBS progress. Your spine tingles in both anticipation and dread. You know you need to get all of you in to be able to have the best chances. Sure, any who enter the game could survive without the others, but the clouds definitely have shown you enough visions of those circumstance to make it unacceptable. You're not saying that staying behind and getting caught up in the death of the planet is personally preferable, but just because it's better by infinite miles, doesn't mean you aren't scared of the unknown.

...wow, this is slow. You totally need to learn to handle your priorities better, you could have been loading this while cleaning your room before. Dang it. Quickly, you pull open a desk drawer and attach a note to the screen of the computer. 'Organize yourself'

That being done, you aren't 100% sure what else can be done on this side...so you might as well rest up here and go check out the other side. For a moment, you contemplate napping at your desk or in bed....but you think you want to be more at the ready when you wake up, so napping at the desk it is!

You look around, pulling your fluffy teal bathrobe out of the mess under the futon, and putting it on. It like wearing a blanket as you cross your arms and lay your head down.

As you fall into a nap, you also feel yourself shifting. The strangely familiar sense of both falling asleep and waking up fills you.

You soon wake up in your golden room, sitting, stretching, and yawning. You've arrived on 'the other side' as you call it, even though you've long since learned the real name of this moon. Prospit, the locals call it.

Is that a pun off of everything being made of this golden material, and them being the peaceful good guys? That they prosper? Who knows, but you chuckle none-the-less.

Getting out of bed, you sigh as your eyes take a moment to adjust to the sheer brightness of a nearly completely golden room. Once they have, though, you slip out of your massive bed and head over to your fullsized fridge to see what the locals have brought you.

Truthfully, your Dream Rom is very similar to your normal one. All the notable furniture pieces are about the same. Your bed, for instance, is exactly where you keep your futon. As is your computer, and your library of books. And your pantry. And the differences, though few, are fairly large. Your bed is bigger and comfier. Your computer, though you can't use the internet for some reason, is more advanced. Your library contains books your other room does not. Your cobbled-together pantry has been replaced by a fully functioning, full-sized fridge with many goodies that the locals provide. There are no doors, so there's more wall space, which is covered with more anime posters and weaponry. And where your window would be is still a massive window, except there's no glass keeping you from the outside.

You look into your fridge, random assortment of human food, as usual. You never know what the locals will bring you to eat. There is a bottle of Orangina though, how they even get their hands on something like that is a question you've stopped asking yourself. You decide to just take that for the moment, and hover (yes, hover) over to the window sill and take a seat. The clouds haven't come in yet, but they're close. As usual, your timing is something to marvel at. So as they close in, you slip into thought, just considering them.

To anyone else on Earth, the idea of waking up in some golden city where you can sit and watch snippets in time on floating clouds and practically be worshipped as some kind of hero sounds pretty crazy...but it's been your second life for a year now, having long since replaced any instances of you actually being able to dream. God, you miss it so much. Yet you can't deny the benefits that this place has given you. Thanks to some stroke of luck, you found out about the meteors, and the game that could save the lives of you and your few friends. You also have seen so many clips of the start of everything that you know the interface of said game like the back of your hand, you think.

You also know a couple more things...things like how the game deals with good and evil forces, how throwing things into the pre-sprite ball thing affects the whole flow of the game, how the grey skinned people you've seen will be important in one way or another, and that each player will be thrust into some new world of their own (each of which, you've only gotten vague glances at)

Now, the clouds are almost here...
