Impeccable Interrogation
The stench is distant to my mind but the feeling of the motes hatred and the direness of the consequences are just too vast, I get out of the trash since its better to be seen by them rather then have the trash motes pressuring in on me any harder!
I obviously make some noise when I crawl out of the heap, covered in garbage. I am busy picking the worst out of my kit when one of the guards comes to check out the noise. He is clearly visible to my astral senses even if his kit is less distinct, the light from his lightcaster falls upon me like an indistinct shiny cone.
I am doing my best to calm down, my senses should go back to normal in time though talking with him is going to be difficult if my material senses are so muted.
"You there! What are you doing all covered in trash!?"
I...... didn't hear what he was saying, but I can probably guess.
Guess I better reply.
"Uh-uh I can explain....."
The freeze was that Sereen? That was weak, and awkward, this can go badly. Oh and here he comes, I think I roughly make out the fact that he has a spear in his left hand. When he's only a few steps away he stops, his eyes widening and mouth hanging open like a door. I simply smile awkwardly, this is the most embarassing way to be taken but it still beats dying in trash.
"Wow! A - an elf! Well this only means one thing, you'll be coming with me and I'll be taking you to the commander, she won't believe her own eyes!"
I simply nod and go along with it, he ends up walking behind me, occasionally prodding me to go in a certain direction. After what feels like a few minutes we meet up with other guards of various sizes and genders, though obviously less variation then in an elf village. They end up walking with me to the guard station, when there are several of them looking at me so intensely and curiously I feel mighty uncomfortable.
Put up with it, no stress, put up with it, no stress....... I am so regretting this right now. Plus they just took all my tools and weapons.
Somehow despite all this I am slowly forcing my senses to materialize, I seem to have a measure of control over my senses by now so at least that's good. They're gonna ask me all kinds of painful questions...... I don't know how much I can diverge and what I should tell them, they're probably good at detecting lies....
I am escorted into a room, the guards stand outside and close the door behind me as I go in. Inside is a human woman sitting at the desk and a serious looking and heavily scarred man standing next to her. By this point I am fully in synch with material existance and sit down in the seat opposite of her.
Neither of hem look very happy to see me, but I can't get a good read on them besides for that, they're keeping their faces mostly neutral. The woman leans forwards on the table between us and speaks.
"So apparently it seems strongly implied that you're the one who snuck over our walls, given the equipment you were packing. I... must also say that I am surprised to see an elf here, this may be the most interesting case I've had in a while, either way you should tell us... Why are you here and why did you feel like climbing over our walls in the dark?"
I hear the slight sound of the scarred guards grip on his club tighten.
