[X] Took the stick off of him.
-[X] And began poking him

First Meeting
The boy glared. A feeling suffused his body, chasing away even the immense weariness and pain he had felt. Anger! Shame! Humiliation! Heat poured through his body, and he lurched upward, spite driving him to try and take the stick from the older boy, and exact vengeance!
The boy's knee twists at an odd angle, and a sharp pain accompanies it as the rest of his body tilts along with it.
He missed, his hand grasping at empty air as his tormentor casually leaned his weapon to the side, out of his reach. And with that, the boy's energy dropped out completely, causing him to fall to the ground in a heap.

Three sighs echoed through the daytime air, one from the young boy. A second from the older one. A third from beyond the pit that the two boys found themselves in.

With a shrug, the dark skinned boy reached into his pocket, withdrawing what appeared to be a plastic-wrapped sandwhich. With a grunt of effort, he picked and prodded at the cellophane, eventually pulling it from his meal.

"Hey."

"W…" The boy's voice nearly died on his throat, awareness of just how cracked and dry his throat was sending a shock of new pain through his senses. But he persevered, "What?"

"You like tuna?"

"T-una?" He half whispered, half gasped, "No…"

The one calling himself Devon shrugged, "Oh well. Suck it up, kid." He broke the sandwich in half, reaching down and plucking up the boy by his hair, opening his mouth, and then tipping a bottle of water down it. The warm liquid poured down his throat, burning at the soreness, and cramping up his stomach as the first sustenance in who knows how long made it's way into his system.

He coughed. He spluttered. He choked and convulsed out of Devon's grip and fell into the scorched earth beneath him, the air filled only with the sound of his loud panting. A large, heavy palm came down from behind, awkwardly patting the boys back as he continued to curl into a ball from the agony.

"You okay there, buddy?"

"N-no…" The boy replied, blue eyes locking onto the brown ones, filled with determination and fury.

"Well, suck it up." Devon shrugged, putting the tuna sandwich into the other boys empty hand, "It's your own fault for wandering around naked in the middle of the day." He reached up, adjusting his cap as he glared at the noon sun, "You're lucky I found you. Ever since those creepy aliens showed up a few months back, everythings been going to hell."

The boy dry heaved some more, frantically scrabbling to grab the water bottle again. Sighing, the older boy obliged him before continuing, "It's really weird, you know? You have some kind of reason to be out here like this? Stuff's dangerous these days, kid." He paused, listening to the sound of water continuing to be chugged down, "I'm guessing you saw that weird meteor come down last night too, right? Thought you had to explore?"
The misshaped lump of his left knee continued to throb painfully
Dark eyes glanced at the boy, desperately wolfing down the cellophane wrapped food, pausing only to bang at his chest when the consumption had been too fast, causing him to choke.

Gentle hands clapped the boy on the back, assisting him in clearing his airways, and then paused, waiting for the coughing fit to subside.

"We-eeeeeeeeeeeeeeell," Devon sighed, stretching his arms over his head as he looked upwards, "Not that it's any of my business, kid, but what brought you out here?"

And the boy answered with…

How peculiar.

Huh.

[x] An Attempt At Deflection

Lordgenome doesn't strike me as much of a deceiver. Not for lack of mental acuity, but for his general personality.
